I've watched a million different versions of this song. I've watched countless other songs by untold numbers of guitar legends. I was inspired to take guitar lessons. As far as I'm concerned, after more than a decade, this version by Matt Rach remains the standard by which others are judged. Thank you, Matt, for sharing your gift, not only with this song, but also for your continuing contributions of stellar music. Your efforts and abilities and output are very much recognized and appreciated.
I keep coming back to this version after many years. The look on his face when he does the scream on the whammy bar at about 1:40 into the song is priceless. Everyone who plays guitar wishes to have that moment when they absolutely nail it.

I was 28 when I first found this video, now I'm 46 and this is still my favourite guitar performance of all time and the greatest RUclips video ever made, in fact this might be the most beautiful thing that my ears have ever heard.
My friends played the classical cannon at the beginning of their wedding, and the cannon rock version at the end... totally fit the everyone being "stuffy and uptight" mood that seems to happen at every pre-wedding ceremony, and took it to the "time to party" feel as they walked out post ceremony. I definitely approved...

Great stuff.....I guess composer Johann Pachelbel would never have imagined in the 17th century that his composition would have been popular in the internet played on an electric instrument.
He will really be blown away, guitar back then are for non-skilled musicians, fretted instruments are dumb in that era, and yet it is played like this on one.
Nothing compares to you .. You have a gift for putting in so much emotion in every note and make then your own. Fock .. Im crying like a child everytime I hear this. You can play so very fast, but its when you play those slow clear notes with all there small variations, bends and tecnical masterpieces, im much impressed. Most guitarists just howls of a lot of notes with no feeling. And you can improvise, so it just aint another cover like the original. Fantastic.

2009: listen to this high as a kite with no job and was literally a bum. 2019: sober for 7 years, have an education, and another education on my way. But still somehow miss the old days a little.
I remember back in the day, it was this song that made me wanna play guitar. (Un)Fortunately I found the real love of playing guitar just 3 years ago, since back in the days, I was still a kid who didn't know, what makes me happy in life. During corona I played a lot and had a good progression, so I have told myself, to make this song as one of my main goals for now. You should do the same, go do your thing whatever it be, do something you love in life. Be happy and stay positive, there are entities who try to split the humanity in different hate groups - don't let this happen to you and try to prevent others from doing so. There is no point in hating another person, just because he/she has a different mindset. Don't let all these groups fool you as well. We had this scenario here in Europe around 1939-1945. It's been a long time since I have heard this first time. It was around late 2007 or early 2008, I don't remember exactly, however, shit tons of stuff was passing through me like my youth, my memories, ... , and even some of my friends either. Lots of reasons why people listen to music, however, one of the hugest reason of mine to listen to music located on my old memories is that I can find/remember the scene and me still living at that moment... Miss the old days when I didn't know anything but pretended that I knew everything.

2019: sober for 7 years, have an education, and another education on my way. But still somehow miss the old days a little.
Nobody cares. Furthermore, you should use that other education you have on your way to learn how to properly construct sentences.
I remember back in the day, it was this song that made me wanna play guitar. (Un)Fortunately I found the real love of playing guitar just 3 years ago, since back in the days, I was still a kid who didn't know, what makes me happy in life. During corona I played a lot and had a good progression, so I have told myself, to make this song as one of my main goals for now.
You should do the same, go do your thing whatever it be, do something you love in life. Be happy and stay positive, there are entities who try to split the humanity in different hate groups - don't let this happen to you and try to prevent others from doing so. There is no point in hating another person, just because he/she has a different mindset.
Don't let all these groups fool you as well. We had this scenario here in Europe around 1939-1945.

It's been a long time since I have heard this first time. It was around late 2007 or early 2008, I don't remember exactly, however, shit tons of stuff was passing through me like my youth, my memories, ... , and even some of my friends either.
Lots of reasons why people listen to music, however, one of the hugest reason of mine to listen to music located on my old memories is that I can find/remember the scene and me still living at that moment...
Miss the old days when I didn't know anything but pretended that I knew everything.
