Kristen, you and hubby have done SO much work to your house in just a short 6 months time, it is amazing! Your home has turned out so beautiful! The furniture and decor all speaks to the age of the house and it feels like it always has been there. The green paint choice you used in a couple rooms is beautiful and the inside porch with the masculine touches and leather couch would be the best room to hang out in. I was a design consultant for a furniture store called Arhaus. What I absolutely love about your home is the vintage look. All the expensive furniture people buy doesn’t hold a candle to your furniture pieces and artwork! In a previous video (I just discovered you) You said you find in thrift stores. Did you find your larger pieces at thrift stores? I’m drooling over all your vintage pieces! ❤️

Oh Kristen, what you have done has made the house smile! You nailed it's true farmhouse vibe. ❤ It takes me way back to my aunt and uncle's old dairy farm house. They had a long, narrow sunporch with a chest freezer, old worn couch and the walls were lined with old black and white framed photos of prized dairy cows and bulls. ~nostalgic sigh~

Love the homey,cozy vibe of your home. The desk and spindle chair with the still life over it in the entry is so charming. Every room looks like it was put together with love and a nod to the history of this home. Your girls are so fortunate to be able to grow up in this sweet, safe, loved filled house. This is one of the most beautifully-decorated houses i have ever seen. It's obvious from your thrifting videos that you have a great eye for decor, but you really have a very special eye for decorating as well. Finding nice pieces is easy; putting everything together like you have done is a special gift in my opinion. Absolutely beautiful. And thank you for spreading the light of Jesus and being unashamed to do so. (I had to edit this to add something after i re-watched - I have a hand-painted version of the same painting you have on your bedroom wall. Mine is signed Patty Motley. :) )

This is giving me Nebraska vibes. I grew up in Lincoln and your home is taking me back! It's sooooo cozy and beautiful!! 💕🤗 I'm going to add a few of your techniques in my rustic home, especially the farmhouse wreaths on the cabinets and vintage green wall with vintage frames.

Your home is beautiful. My best advice on gardening is start with a couple small beds so you don’t overwhelm yourself. Add more as your gardening skills increase. Include the children in your gardening by giving them each a plant to care for. My children used to love this and they are still gardening today.

This is just gorgeous! Love the over time collected look you just cannot achieve buying all new things. You have very good taste & it’s all well put together!
My garden/yard tips. First buy shrubs and perrenial plants and flowers from a decent garden center. They qre in one and two gallon containers. Dont buy at Lowes or Home Depot. You can get much higher quality shrubs for just a tiny bit more money. People at a nice garden center do a better job of rooting their plants and shrubs and they take better care of them. Follow directions for planting. Usually you want to dig a hole twice as big as the root ball... fill in partly with topsoil, mushroom manure, composting material, whatever you can use. I usually genyly spread out the roots as you place it in hole. It will help it not to become rootbound. I know its extra work to dig bigger holes but its the most important part.

I love that green paint on the walls.I am 72 now,and my mom taught me to make my bed every morning .I still live by that,and taught my grown children to do the same also.Everything just looks tidy,and at bedtime is so inviting.

I love seeing that you put up a flagpole in the front yard (not sure if it was there before). Growing up, we had one in our front yard too, and each of us kids took turns putting the flag up. And the dinner bell...my Mom had the same thing. She'd stand out on the front steps and ring that thing to bring us all home for supper.

I live in Pennsylvania and have a home built in 1922. I just started tearing it apart to do a restoration so you inspire me.
