Hi everyone! I'm sharing a summer home tour as I am part of a group of 27 bloggers all sharing summer home decor ideas throughout this entire week! I'll link my blog post below that has links to each participant. There's definitely something for everyone and every style.
I didn't change much, but did rotate a few of my kitchen items, pillow covers, of course fresh greenery from outside, and a new furniture arrangement in the master bedroom. For that room I really wanted a simple authentic old farmhouse look like my grandmothers might have had. And I'm using many of their things throughout the house:-)

So many lovely tablescapes and vignettes. And how I love your lace curtains framed by the dark wood trim. As I watched this video it struck me how pared down and usefull all your items are. I mean nothing is too precious or mass produced, and I wouldn't be afraid to walk through or sit down while watching my elbows 😊. The music is lovely.

Oh Anita, each tour is unique and enlightening! You have taught me to shop my home and the results are amazing everything has a new look. Even just changing lamps around makes a huge difference. I have been so busy canning and prepping for the colder months. I’m truly in my element when I’m preserving and doing all the homemaking things! Blessings sweet friend.
I have been wondering what happened to you! I have not done much here, because I’ve also been so busy in the garden, and we had trees taken down, which made a big mess that I just don’t know how we’ll ever get cleaned up🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ IG has been so detrimental to my mental health and self-esteem but I keep plugging away at it for some reason😂😂😂

Nobody does home-sweet-home like you do! You can just see the love you put into it. ❤ I am not sure what you changed, but I think it’s something in the bedroom. Some of the furnishings in there seem different, but I can’t put my finger on it.

The opening of the glowing candelabra, the lace curtains and the sweet fiddle music.... wow!!!!! All the sweet patterns and soft colors of the tea towels on the kitchen scale. Pure charm! Your music room has always been my favorite room in your home. It truly harkens to another time.

It’s actually my grandmother’s trunk that was in the bedroom at the foot of the bed, and I ended up moving my great aunt’s cedar chest to that spot, and it dawned on me I should try the trunk in the living room, and I’m so glad I did! I moved my great grandfather’s dropleaf table that was in that corner into the bedroom in front of the windows☺️☺️☺️

Hi Penny, do you mean they sheer curtains? They are vintage embroidered chiffon sheers from a neighbor but I made the valances from lace curtains I got at amazon. I’ll try to find a link☺️☺️

Did you find the oil lamp sconces by your fireplace online or at an antique store? If online, can you share where you found them?
These are the ones I have, but mine were much less when I bought them a few years back - $80 I think. They also have a more expensive version. The antique ones I have found do not have all the right parts, and I wanted to make sure the fonts fit snugly in the holder:-)

@@WhisperingPinesHomestead We have one that is antique and hold 5 lamps. Very unique.
You can find them brand new from old order Amish stores. They also have different colors of lamps to fit.

Where do you get your taper candle sticks from
Sometimes from my mother’s house😉 😂 I used to find them at Walmart, but they’ve not had white lately. My Ingles grocery store carries them and I have some rust and gold ones I bought at a local florist☺️☺️

Maybe you need to adjust your monitor settings🤔 You can’t see the sunlight streaming through the windows? Dark and moody is actually my aesthetic so I use a lot of candle light and moody lighting. I’m very specific about lighting my shots to get the cinematic look I prefer. However, you will very plainly see the sunlight is brightly coming through the windows in the bedroom shots and also in the kitchen.
