Hi everyone! I am making a fun and easy recipe that is great to have around the house for family and friends but also to take to potlucks, parties, etc. I’m also decorating my kitchen using things I have, can forage from the woods or borrow from my mother☺️☺️☺️ So let me know what your favorite recipes are to make for Christmas, and if you like to decorate your kitchen for Christmas☺️☺️ The recipe is linked in the description box above, and there’s also a blog post with the details and close up looks at everything in the kitchen. Drop any questions below and I’ll try to answer them for you☺️
Lovely aesthetic. If you ever visit the UK there is an amazing Victorian town called Blists Hill which I think you would adore. There are cottages, houses, shops, blacksmiths, printers etc and even a bank where you can change your money into pre decimal victorian money
Anita, your home is so beautiful! All of the sweet, vintage decor stirred up so many wonderful memories of precious Christmas's from my childhood, right down to the Christmas Carol songbook at the piano. Thank you for sharing your talent. You are a blessing!
The way you so lovingly decorate with cherished keepsakes from your past stirs my soul. Many of the things you have are much like what I remember from my own childhood. The sweet things you put on your windowsill are nearly identical to things my mom had. Sadly, I only have a few of her Christmas decorations, and I love bringing them out each year. I decorate my kitchen, too, with greenery in my chandelier, preserved boxwood wreaths in my windows, and festive towels. Over a period of years, my mother gave me a complete set of Spode china in the Christmas Tree pattern. I bring it out every year on the first of December and use it through the first week of January. I use an old red plaid tartan throw for a tablecloth and I love the way it sets off my dishes. I don’t have a recipe to share. It’s just my husband and I, so I don’t bake. I buy just a few small baked goods that we can enjoy without overindulging. It’s a little weird because I grew up in a huge Italian family with a lot of food and fun, and it now seems very quiet. We won’t see family until New Years Day. Wising you and your family a very merry and blessed Christmas! ❤🎄🙏
Oh thank you so much for sharing that with me! It sounds like such a wonderful season in your very cozy and welcoming home❤️🎄☺️ Funny enough I don’t bake that much either because my mother is next door, and she’s such a wonderful cook and baker so she’s usually sending some wonderful sweet treat here☺️ Thank you so much for your kind words friend☺️ Merry Christmas to you and your family as well❤️
Anita I always love seeing your kitchen at Christmas or anytime to be honest. You make the simplest item took so festive. The red transferware is absolutely gorgeous and of course the Johnson Brothers dinnerware is beautiful. A childhood friend and myself were just talking the other day about how thankful we were to have grown up when we did, we did not deal with all the commercialism people deal with now. Christmas or any holiday was truly about being with family , friends and being thankful for what you had.
Anita, I feel like an honored guest every time I video-visit your beautiful and welcoming home. I love the perfect blend of old world elegance with homey traditional American country charm. Your videos always enrich my day. Have a blessed new year!
For years your videos have made me feel like a little girl again at my grandmas house. She would always come early Christmas morning to our home to spend the day and have dinner with us....I can see her now standing in the kitchen with mom making the fresh fruit salad with those sweet apples and oranges. I have the bowl that she always used. When I touch it I can feel her warm, hard working hands and feel how it felt to sleep in her big feather bed. I always see so many of hers and moms things as I look around your home, it gives me so much peace. Thank you Anita, its always an emotional visit. Have a blessed holiday season, Merry Christmas...sending love and prayers for your family including your precious mom and dad. 💖 You make everything so special and beautiful.
What a beautiful picture you have painted for me to have a glimpse of such special memories for you❤️❤️ Your words brought tears because that’s all I hope to do - bring some peace and calm and hopefully good memories☺️ Thank you for sharing that with me and Merry Christmas friend🎄🎄🎄
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead Love you Anita for keeping these memories alive. I would love to share my "memories" on your FB page with others - love reading what others share with you. 💞
Your christmas kitchen is a holiday hug for the soul! As a candle girl, I love seeing all the glowing light . The castle red transferware is my favorite. And the red plaid and floral towels on the stove are everything. I actually have the red floral on a side table in my living room. Its quite large 72" diameter. But I never tire of that gorgeous red.
I am so glad you are on RUclips, your beautiful work needs to be shared for others to enjoy. Love those special memories that you have shared from your Mother and Grandmother. Merry Christmas and the very best in the New Year!
Lovely as always, Anita. A friend of mine shared this same recipe with me back in 1986… I’ve made it countless times over the years. I love the individual bites and no kids ever cried that the other one got a bigger piece! 😂 I just love your decorating style always so cozy and inviting. Have a blessed Christmas.
Oh wow how cool is that! I found it in a low-fat Philadelphia cream cheese booklet but I certainly don’t use low-fat anything now, but I did back then☺️ That’s funny about the kids, though because, yes - mine definitely divide things up that way ha ha! Thank you so much, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas as well❤️❤️❤️
I really liked your house and decoration. Lots of warm Christmas atmosphere. I got a lot of ideas. Thanks for sharing it. Merry Christmas from Greece🇬🇷🎄🤶🎅💜
Looks delicious. Last year we had the infamous "Cream Cheese " shortage. This year it's abundant....I've creamed Cheesed everything. Merry Christmas. I enjoy your videos and Instagram. Love your style, ascetic, vibes trying to find the right words. It speaks to my nature ❤️
You have such a beautiful home so lovely love watching, would love to see more because your decor gives me so many ideas for my own home ... in England x
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead oh really, I think I got mine at a thrift shop years ago when I was going through my “ snowmen” phase ~ now I just keep them in my collection. ⛄️
Hello, Golly Gee Delish! I really am not a baker, I can cook pretty good from what my family and my husband's co.workers say; I will bake cookies and cakes if I feel like it othewise, here I come OAKMONT BAKERY...LOL! Happy Holidays to you and your family! SHARED TO THE BURGH
Anita, I love your videos and your home! Love how you talk about the things from your grandma and mother. I have oil lamps and the 90 some percent pure oil and it still smells when I burn it. I was wondering if you could tell me what you use because I love the oil lamps. Thank you for your beautiful video and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you so much Gina, and a very Merry Christmas to you and family!! I burn the florasense lamp oil from Walmart that is clear. I have heard the Aladdin Lamp Fuel that Lehman’s Hardware sells is the best but I’ve not tried it because this works fine for me as I don’t leave them on long unless power is out☺️
