- Celebrate International Women's Day with Diverse Voices: From Iran to Denmark, Bridging the Gap!
Join LOLA Israel for a dynamic virtual panel discussion on International Women's Day.
Hear from three inspiring women representing vastly different realities:
Eyð Áradóttir Hammer, a liberty-minded leader from Denmark, will share insights into why Nordic countries consistently rank high in gender equality.
Eyð was born in the Faroe Islands and moved to Copenhagen in 2010 to study economics. In Copenhagen, she became involved with the libertarian movement. She has been particularly active with Students For Liberty, where she served as the European chairwoman from 2016 to 2017. She still lives in Copenhagen and now works in finance. She lives with her 2-year-old son.
Golbon Rose, a LOLA chapter's leader in Seattle, will offer a unique perspective on overcoming challenges and advocating for women's rights.
Golbon Rose, an Iranian American cybersecurity student, poet, musician, and activist, is deeply committed to safeguarding women's liberties and championing Western freedoms. Fleeing religious persecution in Tehran, her family moved to the United States when she was five. Drawing inspiration from her Iranian American heritage, Golbon passionately advocates for freedom of speech, internet, and religion, while also championing free-market solutions against social injustice. In 2022, she joined the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, sparking an unwavering commitment to advocate for personal liberties, transcending borders to champion women's rights, particularly in the Middle East.
Inbal Parvari, a litigation lawyer and member of LOLA Israel, will moderate the discussion and delve into the complexities of women's rights in Israel, exploring why it ranks "in the middle" and the contrasting messaging from women's organizations.
Inbal has been a lawyer since 2012 and is currently working at Fisher FBC Law Office, specializing in municipal taxation. She holds a bachelor's degree in law and economics from Tel Aviv University. Inbal focuses on representing taxpayers against local authorities in relation to property taxes and development levies, with the goal of reducing the tax burden on local businesses.
Inbal advocates for reducing government intervention and increasing individual freedoms, including economic freedom, as a basis for allowing small and new businesses to thrive. She sees principles such as freedom of occupation and freedom of contracts as the foundation for an efficient society that benefits its individuals. Inbal has been married since 2013 and is a mother of two, living in Ramat Gan.
