The way the treated Driss didn’t make sense . He was one of the best soldiers in S1 & S2. Should’ve cut him out for his unreliability rather than give him a yutes job

I felt bad for Dris in this season, he was under appreciated & taken for granted a lot of times, he was the only real members of Summerhouse that kept the crew going while Dushane was in Jamaica & Sully was in jail, he was demoted from his position, his stroke made him feel incapable, he was ridiculed about it & is made feel like the useless one of the crew. Everything Dris has done was not just for him, it was for the one person he loved and cherished the most, his daughter. He didn’t snake just because he was angry, he did it cause he wanted to provide for her and give her the life she never had and he was the only parent that she had left in her life. The most saddest and heartbreaking thing is that he never got the chance to say goodbye or even say he loved her for the very last time.

If Dris was smart he should have gotten himself clean BUT HE DIDN'T. Dris is BITING THE HANDS THAT FED HIM. there is sympathy for the daughter but not Dris. Season 1 Sully was the one who was mentoring Dris. How could Dris do this to them?

What did dushane do, took him to hospital and yeah, gave him lower duties. At the end of the day dris was getaway man and lookout be he was near dead in the car outside cause he's not had his meds. The fact that this man had real issues with his health (eyesight, weight, strokes, drugs, hair), that he was treated like a simple roadman and not like a equal business partner when he’s been a day one with Shane and Sully, that even his daughter didn’t want to show him the love he deserved and that he made the deal with Jermaine to give her a better life but end up being killed and making it worst for her because she won’t see her dad again and didn’t say goodbye? This the part where you lose all respect for Dushane. Dris held it down for him while he was in Jamaica and Sully was inside. If it wasn’t for Dris there would have been nothing for them to come back to, he kept summerhouse running for them, even whilst suffering from physical disorders. Only to then be undermined and under appreciated by Dushane. It’s clear from this alone Dushane is a narcissist/sociopath, unlike Sully who seems to experience empathy and conscience, which gives me hope he didn’t kill Dris. 🤞🏼

I have sympathy for Dris but the choices that he made are atrocious. When you see the way Dushane and Sully treated their members and close friends, you can see why they both deserved to die in the end and why they were betrayed so many times.

Dushane was a self centred narcissist who thought and cared about only himself. He sold out Sully and put Jamie in a position to kill his best friend. He threatened women, shot kids and didn’t give a fuck about anyone but himself. He deserved the ending he got by spending his final moments remembering the amount of people who were killed and lives that were ruined, thanks to him. Also with the knowledge it was his childhood friend who killed him in the end.
Sully was equally as nasty, he just covered it very well to the audience until the final season when we saw just how evil he had become.
His lack of empathy for Jaq after losing her sister was twisted beyond belief. Jaq had no plans to sell the drugs, she just wanted it off the streets. She even admitted to what she had done and was going to return the drugs.
Kieran’s only crime was that he kept quiet about Jaq and admitted he did it through fear. A beating would have sufficed. He didn’t deserve to be killed.
The way Dushane and Sully treated Dris after he kept their firm going was disloyal and disrespectful. He suffered a stroke and instead of offering help and thanks, they tried to push him out the gang. Yes Dris had to go for selling them out but let’s not all forget why he did it in the first place.
So overall, they both deserved to die the way they both did in the end. Kids lost parents because of them, their members lost siblings because of them and when Dushane shot a little kid the way he did, showed that they were not the protagonists like the programme tried to portray them. They lived by the gun, they died by the gun. Exactly how real life underworld shit goes down.

It’s easy to see he’s not dead firstly:
You hear the shot but don’t hear his body drop to the floor
You hear the shot but you don’t see the shot
Also before sully killed him he sent jack away and wanted to do it in private which is even more proof that he is alive

I understand where you are coming from, but overall if you see it from a point of view where they move the camera away before the gunshot is heard then you will understand with my point of view. It could be more likely that you are correct and there would not be any point in him joining a rival gang. The support for my argument could come from unpredictability of what will happen next.

While it is true that the writers can choose the unpredictable route it would destroy their story if they did keep Dris alive because IT WOULD DESTROY the story's ability in BEING REALISTIC. The writers are advertising this show to be realistic and authentic. I am saying that their authenticity will be destroyed because of how it will destroy their story consistency. Why did people love Dris in seasons 1-2? for me he was just a thugged out enforcer who acted like a bully especially to the younger gang members

right i just can’t vibe with power after watching the wire and top boy it just doesn’t feel realistic. i don’t like how they all look so clean cut and fresh like how do you have time to go to the barber and get a fresh cut when you are beefing and got people trying to kill you lol. i like how in top boy some of the characters wear the same outfit pretty much evryday through out the season, that’s super relatable they actually look like they are in the streets. power is just fantasy
If you hear closely after he says “if your gonna do then do it” you can hear him breathing a little heavy and after the gun shot you can still hear the breathing, so he could still be alive
