This season really pulled it out of the bag and is up there with The Godfather, The Wire, The Sopranos etc. Expert storytelling. Only reason I can't see it doing as well as all the other gangster classics is because people won't be able to look past it all and will claim it glamourizes violence.

I used to wonder why the British and Jamaicans use some of the same slang. Then I remembered my dad teaching me that prior to Jamaica’s independence, they naturally took some of the slang or words used by the British.

Nature Boy areas in London like Brixton was colonised by Jamaicans and other areas colonised by Africans and Indians. Within those times Africans thought Jamaicans are descendants from Africa so what ever Jamaicans had they thought was there’s and it caused gang wars and influenced crimes and in the early 1980s to 1990s no white person really used slang until late 1990s took a good few years for it to grow on.
Nature Boy Don’t get me wrong slang isn’t Jamaicans alone it’s the whole of Caribbean’s such as Barbados and Trinidad and some of the Africans such as Nigeria and Ghanaian it was invented over sees to stop the British slave trades from understanding what they were talking about.
Nature Boy Jamaicans and Africans almost practically the cause of British gang violence because they influenced. Especially when “Yardie gangs” arrived in the UK a big gang dangerous enough to challenge American gangs who had gangs in UK, Canada and Some places in America.

Jordan Iverson most of our slang words in london are based and have developed from jamaican words due to the massive jamaican community in london who have been in the uk since the 1950’s long before they started moving to toronto
