    He beat Federer, Nadal ,Djokovic and Murray at their prime not many can say that Great Champion 👏

      And did it in grand slams too. Even fewer can say that.

    He put one hell of a fight today against Ruud. It is a pity, he was serving for a set in the 4th, but his shoulder gave up on him.
    Enjoy your life and thank you for everything

    What younger/newer fans don’t realise is that Tsonga would be a multiple grand slam champ if he was in his prime right now, shame he shared his prime with the big 3, Murray and others, heck of a player and so good to watch

      @@fallendevonish1869 I understand why he made the distinction, It’s just a different class - Nadal has SEVEN times as many grand slams as Murray…

    I'll miss Tsonga on tour, one of my personal favourite players of all time. Powerful, athletic and a great serve but also had incredible touch and technique especially at the net. Such a unique player and he will be dearly missed on tour

    Tsonga was one of the biggest fighters with a huge forehand.. Great example of a tennis player.. So sad the match didn't go to a decider.. He will be missed 😢

    He only lost one match vs Djokovic in their early 5 meetings ..... he destroyed Rafa at AO in 2008 and surely that was the best match he ever played in a grandslam.He also beat Djokovic at AO in an epic 5 setter in 2010.His record is 16-39 vs big 3.Its not good i know but given what big 3 achieved in their careers,Tsonga did a really good job.Amazing player.He definitely deserved 2-3 slams.

    • @jonas8993
      @jonas8993 2 года назад +15

      Actually its great. To someone who doesnt know tennis it might seem like a bad ratio. But when you know how dominating and gifted the big3 is/was, 16-39 is crazy good, it means winning a notable amount of matches against aliens who destroyed everybody

    • @ijump-bounce2283
      @ijump-bounce2283 2 года назад +5

      In comparison :
      Wawrinka is 12-61 against Big 3
      Cilic is 5-35
      Murray is 29-56 and yet he has as much GS as Wawrinka, this shows alone how hard and how lucky you have to be to win a GS in era of Big 3, Wawrinka has 3 wins against Federer and beats Fed + Djokovic in RG 2015, in 2014 he wins against Djokovic and woulf have destroyed Nadal even if Nadal wasn't injured in Ao 2014, but he went godly mode at the right moment each time, when Tsonga went godmode in AO 2008 or some other matches he was always stopped by another member of Big 3 when he could beat one already :S
