When I'm match point down and it's a close set and I know I could turn it around, im at my most concentrated. Lower percentage shots become more makeble if you are in that hyper-focus! I can smash the shuttlecock with side spin so it curves half an inch steeply across the net for instance. A smash drop which would be 40% success rate becomes about a 90% one. Since Murray is one of Tennis's greatest talents in terms of touch and he is probably in that zone, it's more genius than madness to play it in my humble opinion 😅
As great as this is, it's also an indictment of how monfils has under achieved, the fact that Marin Čilić is a grand slam winner and he isn't proves that.
As far as the returns from between the legs or reverse returns running with the ball, it's Agassi and Federer impersonations. Greatest form of flattery. Not original at all.
