These were the books that got me into reading. After finishing city of glass I was like ok this is my JAM and then I was so excited to read 900 more books
the last time i watched a video of yours was when i was beginning the journey of throne of glass. I’ve just painfully finished kingdom of ash and this video has popped up
Oh my gosh!!! I feel so honoured to be a part of your ToG journey! I hope you loved it 😍 (I’ve reread the series a few times but I rarely reread KoA because it hurts so much - in a good way but still. Next reread I’m doing the entire thing though!) And if I could recommend one series to read in the shadowhunter chronicles it would be The Infernal Devices. I hope you enjoy it if you pick it up 🥰
I didn't realise that the titles for the wicked powers were released so thank you for mentioning them. I'm excited and nervous, especially for the last book because that doesnt sound comforting. What if everyone dies (I'm like 90% sure that cassandra won't do that but after what happened in chain of thorns and the dark artifices, I'm not so sure) and after the epilogue of the lost book of the white the stakes seem so much higher. It's like a whole new level of bad. This is an amazingly explained video even though I've read all the books and reread half of the series. I wish I'd seen this video when i was introduced to this world.❤
I love the shadowhunters universe. The infernal devices is my favorite series in the universe. Tessa, Will, and Jem have my whole heart forever. I feel like it was the best written series and I feel much more connected to the characters in the infernal devices series. I love the mortal instruments and the dark artifices too, but just not as much. Magnus is my favorite character from the original series, I just found him so entertaining. I also really loved the last hours series, even though the last book in the trilogy wasn’t my favorite. I never thought I would ever read any book in the shadowhunters series, but I got into the universe during the pandemic. Anyway, I just subscribed to your channel 😊
Okay I legit agree 1000000%!!! TID is just everything to me. Will, Jem, Tessa.. everything about it I love (even though it breaks my heart every time I reread it) TMI and TDA is good, I love them both but TID is forever my fave. TLH was so good but the last book left me wanting more 🥲 I cannot WAIT for her last shadowhunter trilogy!!! Your comment made my day!!! I love talking about these books 🥰
@@katreadsit yeah, I agree with you on the last hours. I loved the series, but the third book did let me down just a bit, but the first two books were everything to me. I’m also super excited for the last shadowhunters trilogy.
Thank you so much for making this Video, Kat! Now I feel like I've really got a great overview😅 I already have the Infernal Devices trilogy on my shelf and I can't wait to read it probably this fall 🤩 I love the Victorian Era and therefore I think I will really enjoy this trilogy itself a lot🥰
Perfect timing!!! ✨ I loved the OG mortal instruments trilogy back in the day and I absolutely NEED to read the rest of the series! No one has made me want to read infernal devices a mucha as you lol l! I would love to see a ranking vid from you! Fave series in the shadow hunter world Fave book, fave characters and maybe even a spoiled filled video talking about the world for those who have read it!
Also I had not heard of “after the bridge” this is new and amazing I can’t wait to go down that world again I know it will consume me and I will take your advice on comfort and taking time off for clockwork princess 🙌🏼
Infernal devices was the first book i've ever read and i fell for reading...i havent read all the other cassie books but i am saving them for later when i am in extreme slump..
I wish I knew this before I started reading those books because I read all the mortal instruments books and then I read the infernal devices books and got all confused and just kind of gave up because I was overwhelmed like I kept hearing all this stuff and I kept wanting to read them but I didn’t know what order to read them in The only reason I really started reading those books was because I kept seeing them everywhere it was in Libby in my school library it was online so I started reading and got lost
What about this order? It is apparently a fourth way to read it, and it is supposedly made out of Cassandra Clare's recommended reading order. There are so many and I am so throroughly confused. TMI Part 1 (City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass) The Red Scrolls of Magic Clockwork trilogy TMI Part 2 (City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire) Bane Chronicles Tales of Shadowhunter Academy Lost Book of the White Lady Midnight Lord of Shadows Queen of Air and Darkness Ghosts of Shadow Market Chain of Gold Chain of Iron Chain of Thorns Shadowhunter Codex
You could technically read it that way too! Honestly there’s no wrong way to read it necessarily, it’s whatever feels best to you! I recommend the first two opinions I mentioned but follow what feels right ☺️. At most there will be mini spoilers, but nothing groundbreaking. Imo atleast!

I feel intimidated
That’s totally understandable, it’s a lot of books. If you have any questions just let me know and I’ll try to help any way I can 🥰

Oh no! I’m so sorry 😔. It’s a big universe and it can be tricky to find the best way to read them. I hope you enjoyed what you read though!
I did really enjoy the books I might try reading them again because I loved them and I keep meaning to reread them because they are great books
I've only read The Internal Devices, But now I want to read all of them!
Yay! I’m so excited for you 🥰
IVE ONLY READ THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS!
