Love how he mentioned that another sequel would be justified. I think Forever Purge was meant to be the end but a full out purge war would kind of work as a true finale of excessive purging
Actually really sad that James is so nervous to not film kill counts for a few months so that he can experience what will be the happiest day of his life, marrying Chelsea.. A lot of sacrifice was made to create this channel and a lot of sacrifice will continue to be made to keep this channel going. Go be happy and take your break James. Like what happens to people unfortunately unable to leave the US before the purge starts and then how other countries would deal with their citizens dying. And or if other countries agree/disagree with the purge. It would be cool
i think one of the movies (anarchy or election year?) had a scene where they show that rich europeans fly into the states for the purge so that they can participate
the third purge movie touches this a bit when tourists show up for the sole purpose of participating in the purge and the TV shows show that other countries were planning on getting their own version of the Purge... but for the most part were struck down

You know...this honestly feels like a natural progression for the Purge movies, what happens when the people dont stop killing just cause the horn says not to. Just surprised this didnt happen soon in the timeline.
Im sure it did somewhere in universe, probably some small town noone ever heard of, now thats a movie I would like to see, a small scale, Town horror survival.
This actually does happen in the show! A guy ends up a serial killer weeks after the purge because he gets bloodthirsty from the purge. This becomes the origins for one of the famous purge mask/makeup worn in the movies. It's a decent show for anyone interested in possibly watching it.
By the time James comes back to kill counting I would of already graduated highschool and I would then move on to College, thank you James for the best four years of my life watching your show!
Conflicting emotions of being so sad I won’t have a James kill count for six months, but so happy to see a RUclipsr setting healthy work/life boundaries and taking a break.
Content creators shouldn't have to be scared to take a break. Especially, when they're of the caliber of dead meat. I have a good feeling about the future of this channel. Helped me get comfortable with a genre I struggled with since I was a kid. And I'll be here through tremors into the future. Congrats on the wedding! Stay healthy! sometimes if channels are gone for too long they lose all there viewers and are replaced by copycat youtubers youtube is alot more competitive than most think
Yeah and with just a "break" I'd completely agree. One of my fav streamers recently took a month off after years of streaming and that was just fine; you've got hours of content to go back to and check anew. But "til Summer 2022" is a tad bit more than a month and you can only rewatch Kill Counts so many times. I know for sure, that I'll simply forget this channel even exists and then maybe check it again in a year or so. That whole "new person at the helm" thing NEVER works for established formats. It's always worse and it almost always leads the original creator down a spiral of "I can just keep letting that guy do this and chill out" until the original guy is completely gone and you've got another channel to purge off your sub list.
@@dowfreak7 Biggest example of the "new host, old show" not working was when Ray William Johnson quit doing Equals Three way back. It never had the same feeling as when RWJ did it. James was worried about his channel after just a few of his videos didn't do as well as he thought. He deserves this but hopefully RUclips's algorithm and audience tolerate it.
So glad for James and Chelsea. They put so much effort into this show, they deserve a break. Won't lie, will miss seeing this guy and I hope he comes back, but he definitely deserves the break.

Making videos every week for 5 years straight can be difficult especially with how much time and effort and editing goes into these types of videos (and the second part or that 6 months will probably indeed be spent working on the film which I’ll most definitely watch)

The Purge is really a series that has grown into something fun and refreshing. Its a little heavy handed with its message, but the directing and pacing of them has really made them feel like treats to watch. I never would've expected this series to be done as well as as this when i saw the first one in 2013, but its really been a good fun one.

They could easy have this movie take place after The First Purge since there have been a lot of gaps between the prequel and the first movie. Instead they just ruin the ending of the third movie. Definitely will miss the Podcasts too, but Chelsea puts in so much work doing research for those, and James spends so much time on these Kill Counts they definitely deserve a break, every job gives vacation time but people on RUclips never get time off or very rarely when they definitely deserve it, after all RUclips is completely free to watch. Plus getting Married is stressful enough I'm sure it'll be nice knowing that afterwards they can relax.

Great count to end the year off on as well as a temporary end to James' duties as host of the kill count. I've been watching more of LowCarbComedy recently and I know Zoran will do an amazing job. I'm glad that James is taking a break. He is a large youtuber with a good reputation. Because he has such a large fanbase, he keeps posting to make sure his channel doesn't die. Although, this is unhealthy and can backfire just as the purge did on the N.F.F.A. It would be in his best interest to take a break from his channel and focus on life.

i think it was great seeing Tenoch Huerta (Juan) and Alejandro Edda (TT) who played Rafael Caro Quintero and El Chapo respectively in Narcos Mexico, they’re pretty small actors as of now but seeing them in a big movie franchise is great

You know...this honestly feels like a natural progression for the Purge movies, what happens when the people dont stop killing just cause the horn says not to. Just surprised this didnt happen soon in the timeline.

This actually does happen in the show! A guy ends up a serial killer weeks after the purge because he gets bloodthirsty from the purge. This becomes the origins for one of the famous purge mask/makeup worn in the movies. It's a decent show for anyone interested in possibly watching it.

I honestly can’t believe I’ve been watching for 4 years.
Conflicting emotions of being so sad I won’t have a James kill count for six months, but so happy to see a RUclipsr setting healthy work/life boundaries and taking a break.
Content creators shouldn't have to be scared to take a break. Especially, when they're of the caliber of dead meat. I have a good feeling about the future of this channel. Helped me get comfortable with a genre I struggled with since I was a kid. And I'll be here through tremors into the future. Congrats on the wedding! Stay healthy!

Yeah and with just a "break" I'd completely agree. One of my fav streamers recently took a month off after years of streaming and that was just fine; you've got hours of content to go back to and check anew.
But "til Summer 2022" is a tad bit more than a month and you can only rewatch Kill Counts so many times.
I know for sure, that I'll simply forget this channel even exists and then maybe check it again in a year or so. That whole "new person at the helm" thing NEVER works for established formats. It's always worse and it almost always leads the original creator down a spiral of "I can just keep letting that guy do this and chill out" until the original guy is completely gone and you've got another channel to purge off your sub list.

The Purge is really a series that has grown into something fun and refreshing. Its a little heavy handed with its message, but the directing and pacing of them has really made them feel like treats to watch. I never would've expected this series to be done as well as as this when i saw the first one in 2013, but its really been a good fun one.
The writing might be bad. But was all the aspects of the movie bad? I liked the look. Could have done a better story or more subtle message

My favourite thing about this channel is that I can have an understanding of a movie either before I watch it if I’m unsure of using up time on it or after if I didn’t really understand the movie.There are plenty of these videos to keep us going, whether uploading was going on or not. Definitely will miss the Podcasts too, but Chelsea puts in so much work doing research for those, and James spends so much time on these Kill Counts they definitely deserve a break, every job gives vacation time but people on RUclips never get time off or very rarely when they definitely deserve it, after all RUclips is completely free to watch. Plus getting Married is stressful enough I'm sure it'll be nice knowing that afterwards they can relax.
