    Do you have any suggestions for a simple mod like changing out standard 91mm scales on a huntsman for modified plus scales (to have a third "toothpick" slot so as to carry a Firefly)?
    I heard that the new scales may not reliably stay in place. Don't want to glue them in case I want or need to replace them.
    Just beautiful painstaking work, btw. Really impressive!
    Thanks!

    • @FittoSurvive
      @FittoSurvive  3 года назад

      A simple mod that many people like is to sharpen the flathead screwdriver/bottle opener into a chisel. It can be done without disassembly.
      The third tweezer slot can be opened on the newer plus scales. If you buy the original plus scales in new condition, they should snap on without any need for glue.
      Titanium or other custom scales really do need some epoxy just to make sure that they don't come off.

      I cut down an 58mm size toothpick for the hidden channel in the plus scales I put on my modified Huntsman. In addition to adding the Firefly rod in the Toothpick slot, I've added the fire ant sized tinder spiral on the bottom of the corkscrew & a mini-screwdriver to keep it in place & the cherry on the cake for me is that I've fitted my Huntsman with the SwissQlip for comfortable pocket carry.

My alternate PTK is either the EvoGrip S17 ( also with a fire ant rod & tinder spiral on the corkscrew ) & the EG S18 with a Firefly rod in place of the toothpick. IMO the toothpick is of little practical use, in fact I've only ever used it to push out the battery on my Midnight Manager ( my default keychain knife ) . "Sociologists and psychologists are particularly concerned about the consequences of this amendment for the safety and lives of children: in June 2017 the journal Pediatrics published a study which revealed that in the United States, gunshot wounds are the third leading cause of death in children. According to the study, 25 minors die every week after being shot. And 91% of children killed in 2010 in rich countries by guns are Americans." What kinds of personalities are behind the right to bear arms? Certainly not people able to survive in an intellectual environment! :)

    • @FittoSurvive
      @FittoSurvive  3 года назад +1

      Dieticians are concerned about the consequences the spoons have on children in the United States. 1 out of every 5 child from the ages of 12 to 19 are considered obese. Analysis shows that the United States is home to the highest number of obese people in the world. What kind of person continues to promote the use of spoons that have wrecked the lives of so many innocent children and adults?
      Doesn't that sound absurd? Absolutely! It is supposed to! Our problem is not the right to bear arms or the simple fact that firearms are readily available in America. A child who wants to end his life or the life of another person will not be stopped by the absence of firearms. They will use knives or drive vehicles through crowded areas or find other ways to cause the harm they intend to cause.
      If we let our 2nd amendment be taken from us, then our right of free speech and our other rights are at risk. Think of that my friend.

    • @diezelle57
      @diezelle57 3 года назад +1

      @@FittoSurvive Whatever. Your way of thinking is hardly brilliant. Civilized countries have very harsh laws regarding the carrying of weapons and this does not take anything away from the freedoms they enjoy. It is a shame that a large country like yours is so archaic when it comes to this issue or social and health issues. So that you are not an example for anyone on these matters. As for the poor food hygiene of Americans, in fact, it does not go in the direction of the ability to survive which concerns paranoid personalities :) But what about the ability to survive in an intellectual environment? What about the average intellectual level of Americans? Another obesity is also hitting your country, religious obesity! In short, your nation is young but it still has work to do :) Just read your country's statistics on homicides, the numbers don't lie.

    • @FittoSurvive

      It is almost comical to debate American rights with someone who is not a US citizen. If your country prohibits firearms and that is the way that you like it, then I am glad for you. 👍🏻 Our right to bear arms is an important pillar of our freedom. An armed society, is crucial to the existence of a free state. Great Britain wanted to reign over the United States and not provide the colonists with the minimum that citizens deserve - a voice in parliament. The colonists were armed and able to throw off such tyrannical government and establish a government that gives liberty and justice to all. If you have never tasted freedom, you can not understand my words.
      I do not wish to argue with you, everyone deserves their own opinion. I have noticed that we share a passion for Victorinox Swiss Army Knives and other knives. We should focus on what we have in common and not on what we disagree. 👍🏻

      @@FittoSurvive The freedom to have an unacceptable hominid rate and mass murder is not a reasonable, permissible right. Are you cultivating a bit about your Second Amendment, it was originally "organized militia", understood? As I wrote to you, our freedom of expression in France has nothing to envy yours, except that we forbid, unlike you, neo-Nazis to march in the streets :) It doesn't matter that I'm not American , I am sufficiently cultured and intelligent to speak about this subject; besides, many Americans are campaigning for the revision of this anachronistic amendment. I was trying to explain to you that this story of carrying weapons fell under the psychology, the frustrated, paranoid, even aggressive psychology of deep America. When it comes to health, you avoid adding more and you are right. You've posted your second amendment on your desk, and that's why I wanted to add my opinion. The multi-tools are one thing, the uneducated RUclipsrs with their knives and their guns, another. I add that the survivalists dismay me. I have never made the connection between a multi-tool and this crappy ideology that is survivalism.

    • @FittoSurvive
      @FittoSurvive  3 года назад +1

      I agree that America has a problem, the psychological condition of young people in America and the world is dire and even that is an understatement. Many people build their opinions about Americans and guns from the internet or from media. There is no friction between a responsible citizen carrying a firearm and being part of an intellectual, modern society.
      I did not attempt to disqualify you from the debate of gun rights nor did I intend to demean your countries freedoms in any way. I only meant to say that you really have to experience the second amendment to be able to understand the value of it.
      About survival, I am just developing my RUclips channel right now. I plan to actually demonstrate more about EDC, prepping, and survival techniques.
      My work mat was never intended to be a political statement. I do support the police and our 2nd amendment, but that is not the purpose of my channel. I do not apologize for it by any means though.

      Good question. G10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate. I have not had any trouble with rigidity of the structure, especially after you put the scales on.
