I'd be really interested in hearing how long you've been at this and what got you interested. How you learned which tools could work and how to modify them. Not to put anyone else down but you're arguably the best in this field. You clearly have a passion for this and you're attention to detail and willingness to keep pushing the boundaries makes your knives stand out. I hope to one day own one of yours myself but watching you makes me want to try and start to modify and customize one myself (something simple Lol)

Thanks to this video I just worked on my first SAK. I had a manager knife with a broken tool spring and I had a few other 58mm knives with the same problem. I opened them all up and used the parts to fix the manager. On my first attempt some tools didn’t have a good snap, I think I was too rough and bent some of the plates. I was able to take it apart and fix it though.

The thing is (according to Jon Gadget youtube channel) that the Victorinox precision blade was originally a scalpel, Mini champ orange peeler was a pill box opener and the Cuticle pusher actually was pill separator and medical formula shovel. They all derived from the medical Victorinox that was discontinued long time ago.

Amazing work to figure out, which tools fit together where, lots of customisations. In the end you built a small but chunky knife with a lot of options, yet some redundancies (2 orange peelers, two flatheads of almost same size, two combo tools). Would like to see your saw in action.

@@FittoSurvive That's something I've had interest in lately because I don't use the 58mm blades and I can't think of anything else to replace it with that I'd use much. The jetsetter is great because it just doesn't have a blade, but it also doesn't have the flat blade driver and occasionally used nail file.
That's a really fun knife. I made one very similar but I can't peen, so it has tiny screws and hex nuts! I need a peening service! (Limited fine motor skills from disability, so practicing isn't the issue. It makes grinding scarey-fun, too!)

Hey, @FittoSurvive Can you do a detailed video of how to drill out and replace the brass rivets on SAKs with rods and a ball-peen hammer? I love what you do and would love to do similar franken-knives but the solid rivet/pin hurdle makes me a-skeered to jump.
Another very nice build. You inspired me to do something similar a few months back when I had to fly so I made one without any blades. Question about the scalpel: what diameter brass rod did you use for the pivot? I will definitely be doing this on my next build.

Why in some tools you add washers and in others you don't? What is the criteria there? I thought all joints had them. Thanks! Amazing built!!!
The springs are 1mm wide. So, if the tool is 1.7 mm wide, then I have to use two springs and 0.3 mm worth of washers to make up for the empty space.
