In the current patch, hairdressers are a great way to make money. They are probably the most profitable business you can put into a size 40 or 75 building, and they also work surprisingly well in size 15 stores. Electronics stores are a bit like jewelery stores in that they cost a lot of money to set up and you will need good security, but they can also make good profits. Bookshops are surprisingly good earners too. They aren't the top earners, but sometimes they can beat jewelery / electronics stores when it comes to profits. For the small 15 people per hour stores, I like gift shops. Stores of that size will never earn the really big bucks, but as the tutorial shows they can make decent money as your first store. Even in the latest patch, offices still aren't good in general, IMO. But if you are going to use offices as businesses (as opposed to just having one as a HQ), then lawyers with the right settings are the only office business that makes reasonable money for now. Web development and Graphic Design can make small profits, but they're also the most likely to lose money and it's just not worth the hassle, IMO. While I think hairdressers are going to need a rebalance because they're too profitable, all the office types (including lawyers) need a rebalance because they aren't profitable enough.
Just started playing this game. After setting up my hq and getting my hr's skill maxed, I started working on my lawyers office. It now makes 20k alone per day.
I don't know if you're aware but they're adding a Electronics Store to Big Ambitions 0.4. They did a reveal for it and the profits were half a million with 5 new items. EA 0.4 releases December 13th, 2023
Wow ... I don't know what exactly you're doing wrong but you are OBVIOUSLY doing it wrong ... my Law Firm with a 42 traffic rating and 20 lawyers on 10 work stations (7 days a week, 14 hours a day) rake in 20k daily with an average skill of 40% (that's profit, so wages already deducted) and I even opened it up early game, Day 20 and ever since it paid for starting all my other businesses xD Same goes for the Gift Shop, even an A1 gift shop (that is recommended by Fred in the campaign) makes money hand over fist with 4 shelfs (2 for flowers, 2 for gifts) and 2 people working them 14 hours a day Maybe you should take traffic index and city quarter/quarter needs and number of similar businesses i nthe neighborhood into consideration ;) Also, the reason why your night clubs 'starts slow and needs a few days' is because the default pricing in night clubs is lower during week days and higher on weekend ... sooo ... maybe actually make use of ALL the features the game offers to you? *g*
@@VileStorms I know but those numbers I mentioned were pre patch ;) I've not yet set up a law form on this patch, just started a new campaign today and went right for the night club
bro just put laywers at 7am to 9 pm and then let them work theyre ass of i have a laywer firm that makes around 90k per day and my smaller one makes 20k a day and only youse them at monday trought friday

They recently updated the game and fixed law firms, this was prior to the patch.
