- Remember Sora's Mom? Well she called him down for dinner in KH1 and Sora never came, but what if he did? What would change how would things play out in the KH timeline? Today we will take a look at what could have happened if Sora ate his dinner.

Out of all of your "what if" scenario videos this one honestly might be my favorite. You went over every major plot point and described a scenario that was actually very believable to have played out with excellent reasoning behind every decision. I was quite invested in your re-telling, especially since I replayed KH1 recently. Well done dood 👏

I’m not joking when I say that I think about the dinner thing so much, though it was more about how we don’t see a ton of about Kiari, Sora, and Riku’s island. I love this ‘what if’ and how it acknowledges just how much would change just on Sora’s timing

There’s one thing you missed, the kingdom key originates from Riku, and Sora got it by tapping into Riku’s heart when it was being overtaken by darkness back in destiny islands. So, in this new timeline, Riku would be the one to have the Kingdom Key. Also, Sora would have inherited Ventus’s key blade because he would want to protect Sora from the darkness
Originally _for_ Riku, Kingdom Key can very much tell on its own that his Heart was too clouded in darkness when the islands fell, otherwise it would’ve probably popped up at the first sign of the Heartless.

@@aguywithgames3135 It is actually Riku's Light that gives the Key to Sora so Sora can protect himself.. The Will of the Kingdom Key is Riku Subconscious Will. The Will to protect Sora.
Yup if Sora missed Kairi in this hypothetical he most likely would have missed Riku and thus never obtained the kingdom key. I'm not sure if he would have been able to use another keyblade if so it would have remained mostly the same. If not, he may have not went along with Goofy or Donald since they only brought him along cuz he was the key bearer. Sora would have been stuck in Traverse Town. However considering the BoP it's likely that things would have played out exactly the same anyway lol
9:30 I’m reminded of an Awkward Zombie comic where the Organization actually does keep changing its name with each new member, much to the frustration of Demyx, who was having new merchandise made.
Finally, a good what if... (Good job though, you wouldn't think Sora would make it past dinner in this, it's interesting)
One thing. DDD would be different, as we're now one year earlier for all events, not giving Xehanort enough time.
I really enjoyed watching this video! had me laughing at some parts. I also think that fighting final boss Marluxia would have been cool to do at the end of KH2 in this what IF storyline. Keep up the awesome work!!

It has been confirmed that Sora didn’t get the keyblade because he had Ventus in his heart and it only seems to pass to him as he reached out to Riku trying to save him so it’s entirely possible that Sora doesn’t even get the keyblade at all and just dies with everyone else
And revive in the final of Kh 1 with the destiny Islands and the others residents
Sora wouldn't get the keyblade as he unknowingly took it from Riku when he reach out to him

i feel like riku+sora splitting up in hollow bastion was a bit of a reach for the sake of returning to the original plot, kinda against the spirit of the thought experiment - same with axel betraying the organization, since he literally wouldn't have any reason to do so (sora proved in CoM that being around axel wouldn't have been enough to change him in any way - plus roxas wouldn't have helped him grow a heart to be able to respond to sora like he does in 2). would have been interested to see how 3D would end without lea, since saix might have kept him in the new organization given their history
VERY interesting how averting roxas+namine+xion would affect things like marluxia's plot involvement, really liked that thread - the xion-shaped hole being filled with dark aqua is GREAT. even a brief fall to darkness coming back to haunt the heroes would have been incredible, especially with ReMind's perspective of aqua during the war (seeing her dark self in the shadows).
really enjoyed this, love thinking about plot+character arcs like this
Great vid, a showdown with Dark Baymax in the Keyblade Graveyard would be epic XD I'd miss Roxas, I really enjoyed his storyline and conflict with Sora. Also would be cool to see how powered up Marluxia's final form would be with Kingdom Hearts to power him up. Too bad KH3 never leaned into the fact that he used to be a Keyblade wielder.

I'm constantly dismayed that Vexen and Demyx never got to play goofy villain roles/be boss fights in KH3 before they went full redemption as Even and, uh, whatever Demyx's name was. I would take either of them as a Xion replacement in the final Org, and honestly, if there's a way to kick someone else out so they can both get in there, that'd be ideal.
But also let's not forget Xaldin. Xaldin was such a fun bad guy and he didn't even get LINES in KH3. Give him something to say again at least! And that something is "I am a Seeker of Darkness"
I love this what if. Although honestly I think things would've gone a lot differently, idk how long it takes everyone else to eat dinner but imo if Sora had actually gone and eaten dinner he wouldn't have made it to the island before darkness decended, effectively erasing him from events. This way KH1 would've gone entirely differently since it'd be Riku vs everyone by himself, and since I still see him getting possessed, I feel like Ansem would've won easily.

Alternatively, if the world containing Destiny Islands is consumed by darkness WHILE Sora is eating dinner he might not have obtained the keyblade in the same way he did originally.
I don't see this changing much tho, he'd probably just be pressured into accidentally summoning it in Traverse Town.
I feel like it'd make more sense for the organization to find other nobodies to fill their ranks rather than riku replicas. Like, it seems logical that there would exist other humanoid nobodies in the kh universe that just weren't relevant to the plot (as in, characters that don't exist in the story/weren't written but exist as logical conclusions to the premise that the story set up)

If Sora didn’t catch up to Riku before the island was destroyed, the Keyblade would never have been passed along to him, would it?
Sora got Riku's keyblade when he got consumed by darkness, but if Riku wasn't there Ventus could have given Sora his keyblade for self preservation.
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 I don't think Ventus was conscious enough for that; the only times we ever see him directly do anything while asleep was in DDD & KH3, and both cases were at a point where he was only influencing Sora's heart; nothing external like summoning a Keyblade.

You know what, though? Since Roxas (and Xion) don’t exist, including their almost full year collecting hearts, wouldn’t that mean that kingdom hearts wouldn’t be complete by the time kingdom hearts 2’s alternate events came into play? Or is that why Sora would be fighting Marluxia?
I always thought Soras Mom was Aqua i mean the actress sounds the same
If Riku and Kairi were already gone by the time Sora arrived. Would Sora still get a keyblade? Or at the very least would he get the Kingdom Key considering that was originally Riku's? And if he didn't then Donald and Goofy wouldn't take him meaning his journey wouldn't even start and he wouldn't leave Traverse Town until Riku comes around and either takes Sora with him and Maleficent or Riku tries to convince Sora to stay to keep him out of danger
If I had to pick an alternate 13th member for the organization, then I would pick Norted Eeyore. (Yes, I know that video was fake, but c'mon, it's too fun of an idea)
