I don’t know what had come over James Brown in the early 1970’s, it was like he was in a funk trance, just supremely unstoppably funky ! Driving that band along, never tiring !
The James Brown Show! We need some new unreleased live stuff from 1973-1974 ,like FUNKY PRESIDENT LIVE FROM THE DICK CLARK SHOW IN CONCERT. I wonder if that is available. It would be nice if you could and I have no doubt in my mind that you can find it. I have confidence in you. Lol
@modernretroradio993 YES! THE series was called In Concert and it was on ABC NETWORK TELEVISION and the producer was Dick Clark. ABC got into the game of late night because NBC had the Midnight Special Series. There are a few clips out there from James Brown's appearance on In Concert but it's the same old clip of Mr. Brown doing Doin It To Death and Stone To The Bone, but he also did FUNKY PRESIDENT and it was funky as two unwashed armpits. I mean it was stank B.O. SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO! NOTHING BUT LOVE TO ALL JAMES BROWN FAMILY
@@williamparker3328 OK, I definitely know what you're referring to. I didn't realize that "In Concert" was a Dick Clark production. The known footage is awesome, and I've been wanting to see the full show for years. That audience was ecstatic!

First time hearing about that! Was it a truly live performance with his band?

The '71 Apollo "Soul Power" intro remix/loop is awesome!
Yeah I hadn't heard that for a while, until I put this together. it adds a bit more excitement to the track.

Hip hop DJs are gonna love this one! Great, creative, clever edits!
What are the details regarding "Doin' It To Death"? I hear strings, extra percussion, rock guitar, new vocals and other elements. It works!
