- This man knows his trucks. I really like the perfect tracking. Once you have that driving is great.
We still have my grandpa's 1970 F-250 Highboy that we ordered in brand new in 1969. We paid $4000 brand new. Ours came with the chrome front bumper, white steel rear bumper and cab lights. Ours is the aqua green pickup and the top section of the cab is black.
Also, it probably is 8 lug with divorced transfercase, unlike this one.
@@40s9s3 Fake "highboy"
Sounds like a beautiful truck when she should send some pictures
Beautiful truck. Attention to detail and engineering are second to none. When I win the Mega Millions I'm hitting you guys up for one.
We'll be here for it Mark!

Now that’s a man’s truck
🤣😂
Badass man's truck. You don't know bout that. 😊@@JTFSIX
👌 Real Man's
that has got to be the most badass truck I have ever seen
My favorite build yet
An awesome Ford with character.. Well done.. Accidentally found this video. It is worth it.
Happy accidents. Welcome to Velocity content!
Damn!.....this is way way past gorgeous!..... well done guy's... well done!
Thank you!
Loved the seats at the back, beautiful details nd amazing painting works.
I haven't seen an upholstery like that wowwww 🙌♠️
I also agree with the homey feel of the interior
"they look great but at the end of the day you can't drive em, u can't enjoy and feel safe" A good advice on designing things
What a beauty
What a beautiful truck!!
I'd drive that thing everywhere
That is a beautiful truck.
We definitely agree! 😉
My dream truck. Awesome job
What a beautiful truck !
Love the gun rack...nice touch and the entire truck is ❤ awesome.
I’ve got my dads 76 ranger f250 High boy. I wanna rebuild it so bad my dream would be to modernize it like you guys did with this truck. I have to fight the urge to not spend all my money on it lol this truck is everything I want mine to be someday
There's such a hit of nostalgia with these classics for sure Colin! Best of luck with yours.
Beautiful build!... What gun rack did you guys use in that? 🙂
Beautiful!!💙🤍
Thank you! Cheers!
Gorgeous....
Love it
First Time Viewer - AWESOME TRUCK!!! Like all of the little somewhat obscure yet noticeable detailed features like the billet handles, camera, all of the interior details, the painted rims (are those 6 lug or simply a center cap over 8 lug???). I have never been a fan of SOHC or DOHC engine in a truck. Although the 5.0L V8 Coyote is good for a driving (not towing). I would opt for a traditional V8...first choice, a Ford FE 427 V8 and the old school bullet proof NP205 (New Process) gear driven transfer case.
Beautiful!
Nice classic truck!
So American! So vibing!
Better than when it was new in 1972.
Solomon sent me. What a truck!
Yes I definitely was interested in what they are doing with the classic truck bodies when the dealership vehicles keep getting cheaper barely decent bodies that don't do rust very well, and some of them have really nice interior trim but they use cheap quality materials anymore which doesn't last especially as long as they did in like the bumpside Ford trucks, my case in point as a example my 2000 dodge ram the cheap plastic dash.....
Absolutely awesome truck i love it great job 😊😊😊
Thank you mate!
beautiful vdeo production, slamming!
Thank you!
I love this testomod
Badass truck
I like the truck tailgate
Honestly a overdrive automatic transmission or a 5 spd manual sounds like a awesome idea but I think I'd rather have the authentic Ford fe 352,360,390 lol.
i really love this truck!!! thank you for your video. I have been waiting for the continuation of this video since the release of the first video! I want this truck to reach a good and worthy person!
OMG THE MUSIC !! 🤪
WOW !!!! Really sharp. GUN RACK
The difference between the 150’s I’ve been seeing vs. this 250 is drastic! This truck is THICCCK! Regular cab king bed is my ideal truck design. Some crews look good, but not the same.
Goofy Halloween beard 😂😂
I want that shirt too❤
Nice project. Can you tell me what you did with the cable transmission
Sheesh! 🤧🤧🤧🤧
Have you think in an powerstroke?
Almost 300k built
IM HERE FROM THE JAY LENO’S GARAGE VIDEO ON THIS AWESOME TRUCK.
Thanks for coming! Stay up to date by subscribing! We have some sick stuff coming out
What an awesome build, the only critique I would even remotely try to give would be, it needs more than a four speed transmission, I currently have a 2015 Chevy 2500HD with the six speed tranny and I would never go backwards with the amount of gears in a transmission
We use a 10L80 Automatic Overdrive Transmission as a standard on all of our F-Series trucks.
Don't get me wrong love what you are doing and as far as if I was buying a newer truck yeah I would go for this almost every day of the week but I can almost bet one way or another it would end up with a fe..
Yeah......Ford FE 427 V8!
👍👍👍💪
Nice truck. Are these old fixed up trucks affordable??
Beautiful truck! Why the tiny steering wheel?
The steering wheel was in collaboration with Sparc Industries and works perfectly for what we were looking for. In person, it fits all the functionality of modern steering for this truck!
5.0? Maybe for an F100, I’d be requesting a 7.3 like my Daily
The grille resembles the 1969..not the 1970 model.
Actually the grille and the radio and the knob style heater controls if I am not mistaken is reminiscing to the 67 Ford trucks
Why does it have chevy axles on it?
Yes Id definitely want one but not at that pricetag. Would you be making other vintage years as well? How about the 1965 F250 in caribbean turquoise? One of the best looking trucks Ford ever made in custom cab camper special options. How can we get that pricetag down for the common working man?
Yes the 65 f250 custom cab camper special 352 fe 4spd, and the 69 Ford f250 ranger camper special auto or 4spd 390 fe would be my two choices of older generation Ford trucks and this comes from a big fan of the gm square body trucks I have owned several of them and I currently have a 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed 1500 4x4 with the 318 magnum V8 46 RE AT manual shift transfer case lever on the floor gloss black with most of the white pinstripe and it just doesn't have the character and classic bodylines the two Ford f250 trucks I named did
@@richardbates2367 I have a "Square Body" - 1978 Chevrolet K20 - 350 V8 - SM465 4 speed - NP205 with Dana 44 front axle assembly in the front and a GM 14 Bolt full floater rear axle assembly...both with 4.10:1 gear ratios. It is FOR SALE. For several reasons, I prefer the slightly older 1967 - 1972 Chevrolet and GMC "Action Line" trucks.
what paint colors did you use? thanks
We paint these in-house and it is our signature colors Anvil Grey and Wimbledon White - the two tone look is an upgrade with our Heritage Edition
@@VelocityRestorationsI thought you said this was “Velocity Blue”? Sorry, the only reason I’m commenting on this is I was thinking how much it looked like (King Richard) Richard Petty Blue. And how beautiful it looks on this truck!
🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
A F-250 Highboy with 6 lug wheels ? WHAT ?
Yep why I said I would rather have a actual f250 camper special trim truck if you are paying for the option the heavy duty suspension was one of the best parts so was the 390, over the normal L6 240, and the 360 or the 67 specific 352
Very beautiful truck, but who can afford a 300,000 truck. Not very practical
How much
Where can I buy one ?
On our website: www.velocityrestorations.com
You need to stop by the bank first, rob it, then call velocity.
seat belt?
It's a lap belt!
I say it on jay leno
nice looking trucksome day i will get mine painted i have a 70 ranger 3/4 ton with 1 ton axles dana 60/80 lockers what is funny about it it has the tool box on side but it don't have the camper special package its has front and back chrome bumpers rust free with a good body i got it for 250 bucks with a bad 360 i traded a junk car for a good 390 then i ended up getting a 70 class c motor home it had a tilt wheel tach in the dash rose engraved chrome trim in the interior ac power steering power brakes cruise control wiper delay am/fm ford deck and a 428 in it with a bad c-6 trans it will move the rig but slips best part i got the motor home for free the truck still has factory paint on it but could use a new paint job so i really don't have much in it i think i am at 350 bucks now running and driving for a 4x4 a ford 67/72 is the best looking 4x4 2 wheel drive i like chevys and a few ford can't lie i just don't have one yet but have lots of chevys
Very nice, but it's not a '70 grill
We blend the best parts of the years we use into our own design.
Not a highboy but still nice
I like everything but the wheels. A little too big of a diameter, and they need some period correct look, like some good old fashioned wagon wheel pizza cutters. Dont get me wrong, they aren't bad at all, I just prefer a little more aesthetic detail. A solid rim is just sort of a FAD for me.
我希望可以进口到中国
Sorry highboys are 8 lug
Exactly
Nailed it!
You should have bought it for yourself and kept it.❤
It’d be so much more cool factor if it was a fresh FE under the hood.. 🥴
Completely Agree!
Only took 1:22 to find out you killed for me .. leave em original 😢
It ain't a truck until you put the shotgun in the gun rack
I uploaded a video to RUclips once of a beer can and that that have been thrown away by homeless person and they got more views than this video did is it that odd odd
…….. When Ford built their best trucks.
The clearance lights isn't what ford has done, 5 lights spaced equality is what ford clearance lights are. The 3 in center and 2 on outside is what gm does.
Ford. I I I I I GM I I I I I
Yeah I am not really a fan of the gm style or layout of the older square body and gmt400 truck roof clearance light setup lol ironically since I am a big gm square body truck fan and a pretty big fan of the gmt400 truck as well..
The 1967 - 1972 Ford "Bump Side" trucks with the OEM 5 equally spaced cab clearance lights is not the normal / traditional spacing for these types of lights. The 5 equally spaced cab clearance lights do not look good. The 3 in the center and 2 on the outside is the normal / traditional aesthetic format. The 1973 - 1979 Ford "Dent Side" trucks have the 3 in the center and 2 on the outside...much better look. The 1969 GM trucks had the "Hockey Puck" cab clearance lights (not aesthetically pleasing to the eye) like the 1970 and newer GM trucks had the "Fireman Hat" cab clearance lights...those looked great.
I didn't know that an f250 came with 6 lug hubs? Also, that's a 69 front grill, not 1970
All of our builds take the best of each year to make our own Signature Series vehicles.
@@VelocityRestorations not cool, ford didn't use 6 bolt back then! Why can't you leave well enough alone?
They didnt.
$380,000 might be a bit too high.
Nice truck except for the tiny goofy steering wheel. Put a man-sized wheel in it and get rid of the soy boy wheel. Glad you didn't put low-profile stupid tires on it keep it old school. Old seats had springs and lots of cushion not like hard modern seats. These old Fords ride like a Lincoln and I love the old one-finger over assisted steering feels comfortable and luxurious.
2 wheel drive ??? Why just why 😢
It's 2wd high and low, and 4wd.
no manual transmission = piece of dogdung
I don’t think this is actually a “high boy”…?. They had eight lug wheels and a divorced transfer case.
Wrong grill
It's a blend to make our own signature look on the classic truck.
@@VelocityRestorations I had a '70 I bought in 1983. It had the bullet proof 300 six in it. That 300 could pull a battleship. It was the most awesome vehicle I ever owned. Sold it 1990. I kick myself every day for the last 34 years.
too bad it’s not really a high boy. It doesn’t have eight lug axles or three drives shafts in a divorce case it’s like a F150 not an F250
however it is a beautiful truck but you can’t call it a high boy
You ruined it with that trash under the hood!!!!! Computer junk!! What for????!!!!
I saw the wheels on it & could already see u ruined it & u don't have a understanding of why these trucks are great, and I could see this by 11 seconds in. In your hands these trucks are ruined. "A back up camara" & a coyote" This is a 1970 u say? No its not. Not anymore. It's a embarrassment!
We make sure to keep the same charm and honor the vintage aesthetics and feel we all know and love. We bring the safety and modern features but try to keep the class with it all. Everyone who has driven one or owned one says it reminds them of the past but without the major headaches. It may not be for you, but it's still a classic re-born!
@@VelocityRestorations charm?! Lmao!
I mostly disagree with you. I prefer most of the modern additions / changes Velocity made on this truck...all of the interior features, the painted rims, billet door and tailgate handles, headlights and taillights, but especially the upgrades that make the truck drive and handle like a new truck. Chrome Bumpers on the exterior would look better on this truck. I probably would not want the "divorced transfer case"...even though it "looks cool". I am not a fan of SOHC or DOHC V8 engines in a truck. I would opt for a traditional V8 engine...like a Ford FE 427 with a C6 transmission, NP205 gear driven transfer case (instead of the modern Atlas) with Dana 44 front axle assembly and Dana 70 rear axle assembly...both with 4.10:1 gear ratios. Finally, would remove the inside the cab fuel tank and replace with an after rear axle chassis truck type of fuel tank.
Is that a six log?
Yes they put a 6 lug chevy axle on it for some reason.
