1:04:58 they actually showed a replay of the kid falling. “We know drama” I was about the age of those kids when this was live. I miss the old NASCAR. But hoping to get back into it
both Pocono Races from 2001 were challenges and for good reason, both had crazy late race passes but this one with Dale Jr. and Bobby Labonte was crazier.
Dale Jarrett's season, and more or less his career, took a downward spiral starting with this race. Gets booted out of line on the restart and then got caught in the mess a lap later.
If a few things go his way Jeff Gordon wins both Pocono races in 2001. A few things go his way Jeff Gordon actually wins 13 races in 2001 instead of 6. Not even joking I saw this entire season that's how lights out Jeff Gordon was in 01.
He had a good 01', had his problems too I agree, but what's truly crazy is the bad fortune Labonte had that season. Take out his 3 engine failures, 4 accidents and the oil pressure issue at Vegas and he had an average finish of 8th. That would've been the best in the series. Heartbreaking
Despite this being a fuel mileage race, this race ending was awesome! THIS is how true racing is supposed to be... & among 2 popular good guys on top of that! In addition, My top 2 guys & their race for fourth! :D

My mom and her ex bf Corey we're at this race sitting by the start/finish line. Not to mention the fact that they met Ward, Kurt Bush and Bobby in the infield before the race started.
It's crazy how much better the racing was when guys were running different strategies and could get away from each other and when it felt more like endurance racing. All the artificial "excitement" they've built into the sport in the past 20 years is so boring.
I was at this race. Despite passing Earnhardt on the penultimate lap, not a single Jr. fan was upset that Labonte won that race.

Jeff Gordon retook the points lead after this race & held it for the rest of the season
2:59:13 what happened to Benson there right after the finish? Looks like he may have run out of gas and was trying to spin into the pit lane exit!
Dale wacked that wall hard as hell in that second hit. Damn!
This race was s challenge on NASCAR Thunder 2003

Whos here after the DJD story?
What the hell happened to Johnny Benson crossing the line on the last lap? Spun in the middle of the front straight lol
Nice catch. Completely missed this. What the heck was he doing?
He was running out of fuel so he said F it im pulling it in now

Was at this race. My dad surprised me with tickets for passing summer school 😊
I love this track & I really wanted Jr. to win this one

Everytime there is a crash on lap 3, I think its the spirit of Earnhardt messing with NASCAR.
Austin Nay He doesn’t mean to mess with them. He just means to rattle their cages open.

Wow remember being a kid and Nascar back then was must watch television
Borderline unwatchable now =(
That Yates power really showed itself at Pocono!
DJ lost the Championship with this accident right here, many believe. The 88 team would never regain the Championship contenting momentium.

damn I'm glad Pocono went from 500 miles too 400
2:09:04 The Small One.
2:33:24 You picked a fine time to leave me a loose wheel.
The second video is foreshadowing of the 2004 championship!! And the top video more or less ended the title run for one.
So if the Pikes Peak Busch Race got rained out. And Kevin Harvick stayed for that race. Wally Dallenbach would have driven the #3 (29) car.
Hey Dave W., Did you switch back and fourth between this race and a different race.
