Glorious Tony quote after the race.
"For those people who had any doubts and thought I was putting everybody in danger, you're a bunch of idiots because I was the fastest car on the race track at the end. Maybe ya'll can become doctors before you start writing in the newspapers talking about how dangerous drivers are to run 1,100 miles in a day."
"That car will need more body work that Joan Rivers". Jesus, times have changed
A trick: watch series at Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Easton Tyson Yea, I've been using KaldroStream for since november myself :)
The crowd at this race was absolutely enormous. Man I wish it was still like that these days
No b s + no dems r × cists 0rgs, no anti methane propaganda only race race race.
Nowdays they supports batterypropaganda, cLim.,at,.echang3s politix , tyranical mandates , and full of doublestandarts (they suppposely kick bub'a vvalace and its political purposes far away frm american races)
@@rumaabba8875 stop talking. Nobody cares about your unhinged beliefs. Especially in a nascar RUclips video comment section
The Daytona 500 is sadly the closest we'll get to massive crowds like that. Closest you can get to multiple sponsor tents in the FanZone.
53:54 Absolutely savage move by Chris Myers.
53:50
I wasn’t prepared for that. Absolutely hilarious!
The high point of a surprisingly subpar 2001 season for Roush Racing.
Really, the only year in the Taurus era that Roush didn't either have a big-time race winner or a top 5 threat.
"I think he's gonna be a contender all night long!!"
*Newman bins it at that very moment*

Wow I miss those funky jams when they were doing the starting line up lol
So do I
First Coca Cola 600 on national television.
One of my first ever NASCAR races I attended, I bought myself a Jeff Burton jacket on the way out. :D
Right after Dale Jarrett broke his rib, he was never the same driver ever again. I think after he broke his rib, he only had 5 more wins after. It's a shame
Championship probably would've come down to him and Jeff Gordon had DJ not got that injury.
that's more to do with the car he had than anything else
I mean, his 2002 season was pretty good tbh, I feel like Robert Yates just missed the mark in 2003. I don't know what happened from 2005-onward though.
The best of Nascar
Man I miss those cars, those drivers. The absolute excitement.
I remember this happy day for me!! I'm glad I found the whole race on here. Thanks for the upload.
I had this video taped, the part my mom recorded was the Army choir singing Amazing Grace and all the way to the end of the race.
Man the engines were much louder back then
This FOX sports booth ranks up there with the old ESPN crews, and I don’t say that lightly
Thanks for this! I remember watching this at a party with my family. Then I went home and watched the remainder of it. Good race and good times.
I love how dw jinxed Ryan newman
had this on tape as a kid, miss the copy...thanks
To answer the Pep Boys Trivia at 1:13:29, around that time, there were four that won both the All-Star Race and the Coca-Cola 600 in the same year, now three more drivers accomplished the same feat to the likes of Darrell Waltrip, Davey Allison, Dale Earnhardt, and Jeff Gordon
Jimmie Johnson in 2003
Kasey Kahne in 2008
Kurt Busch in 2010
15:30 jeff hammonds like u ok buddy lool 🤣🤣
17:50 I wonder what Jeff Burton's odds were to win this race.
Thank you for putting this up :DD
Thank you ! from France :)
Tony Stewart would have won if there were only 4 more laps in the race.
he wouldve killed the leader
Nascar Thunder 2003 Reference
Bobby Labonte and Jerry Nadeau had some bad voodoo in this race. Labonte got his first career win in ‘95 but was in position to win several more times and came up short. 2005 was the toughest. Jerry had back to back years of brutal heartbreak, he was going to easily pass Burton with those 4 fresh tires and ride off into the sunset.
I can't believe I just watched that whole thing!
@de31168 Yeeah I don't get that either. Two thumbs up all the way, love these old races :)
thnks a lot!!!
It's crazy to think that just a few months later, 9/11 happened. The world has changed so much since then.
The first Coke 600 on FOX.
BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY!!!
hey, I'm a Jeff Gordon fan, and I like this video
The First Boogity Boogity Boogity 36:50
I wish they still started this race before or right at 6:00
Do you have the full fall Dover 01 race on your channel Dave?
Yes!!
30:42 for the injury report. Happened during practice
36:50 the very first boogity boogity boogity!!
This is the 1st time Dale Jarrett used a provisional since joining Robert Yates in 1995
15:30 umm... awkward moment? lol
It is uploaded!
@TheJoey20rocks What about it? The screwed up RPMS?
Watch the qualifying show for this race.
its weird how the audio for the onboard on sterling marlins car is way off
Notice the Indy-style camera shot at the finish.
The debut of "Boogity Boogity Boogity".
36:51 the first boogity that started it all
I miss that interstate batteries Pontiac
1:13:05 The Music!
That's right the original Jepordy Think Music
i was there
nice mustache Jr...
its never been changed.
1:01:01 - As a 10 year old, the only drivers I had interest in were Bill Elliott & Andy Houston. I distinctive remember watching this race & my cousin asks me "Hey, what happened to McDonald's man?" Why I remember that I don't know...
man DW said even more weird shit back then lol
Hmm DJ Seemed fine when he got out though
Must've been the TV cameras then.
Anyone know the name of the song at around 29:30 - 31:00
Was that the first DW boogity at the start of the race?
sadly yes.
I believe so
4:00:30
@de31168 Someone out there is doing it for kicks, even to videos that are brand spankin' new and awesome. Some people live a sad, sad life.
Thumbs down? Really?
Newman could've been the possible winner if he didn't crash on Lap 11
DW sounded like he was jacked up on something.
Dick bergeran lol
DANGIT, DARRELL. STOP JINXING NEWMAN. :(
Is it me or was this Charlotte configuration smaller than the current configuration
It’s same damn size. It’s 1 1/2 miles long. Always has been. Never been changed since the built the track. Stupid idiot!!
its the one pit reporter from this race a baseball announcer now
darien taylor yes
1:08:15 Casey Atwood's crash
Did his spotter say What the fuck
2:54:42 Ka Vap Il lololol
They're probably Jeff Gordon or Ryan Newman fans. Don't take that personally :)
Damn that crowd was loud back then.
15:18 for the Qual crash
15:18
I think DW jinxed Newman! Mike Joy won't be happy!
jeff burton did win.
Yeah Dick oopsed his line.
Crank it Up 3:00:00
3:00:00
How did DJ Get Broken Ribs?
Um no. I iz Gordon fan i liked
Cars sounded better and handled better.
Why is Darrell Mouth Waltrip running his damn mouth during Lap 3?
I hope it's not just me, but, DW's commentary throughout this race was annoying as hell. He treated this whole broadcast as his own personal comedy show. As a serious nascar fan it pissed me off. I dont mind a little humor but he takes it to a ridiculous level....
I like fox but that race was fucking annoying to suffer through.
Jaws at his best
bclautz ...or worst.
It is a all about Dw on the telecast. half the time. If I watch the race I either have it on mute or charged the channel. This race is what DW as turned in to today. The more he talks the less sense he makes
I agree with you this was a boring race. This is was probably my least favorite race of the whole year along with the second new Hampshire race.
