    Nice tour Tommo. I do love that boat and the engine bay hydraulics always make me smile!!
    I know the feeling about the tablets. I think as you get older you just have to accept that things go wrong and things don't work quite as well as they did. I take tablets for various things and have just succumbed to it now. Look forward to the next one!

      @SailingWithDave Thanks Dave. I take quite a few tablets each day for other things too which is fine. It's the other stress that does me in

      @@fat_tommo_goes_boating Well me too. Us men should stick together and talk more about these things as it does help. Not the right place to get in depth but my email is on my channel.

    Can't believe such a nice boat was 'abandoned' at one point in its life. Good on you for getting her back in good condition. Hopefully the tick over issue get sorted.

      @@anotherangleUK yes the boat was sat unused for around 11 years.
      The tickover issue has always been there since I have had it, but it's taken years to identify it (hopefully), it's only very minor, just one if those niggling things

    Enjoy your Vids Tommo. My Father had a Small Boat Yard in Bristol in the 70’s we spent a lot of time in your part of World as he did business with Nigel Stride and the Boat & Chandlery Auction near Tuckton. He also had a partnership with a Poole based manufacturer to produce fibreglass ‘Dorset Small Boats’ which was a small 14’ cabin cruiser. We holidayed every year on Mudeford Sandbanks for 2 weeks and we usually took a Fletcher or Dorset Small Boat always with 50Hp Mercury. Amazed at your Fletcher!…have never seen one before!..Awesome Beast!.

      @jonandrews4493 thats great to hear, I'm pleased you enjoy them.
      I don't actually live locally to Mudeford but I am there often.
      My boat is a Shakespeare, not a Fletcher though 🫣

      @@fat_tommo_goes_boating My apologies!, of course it’s a Shakespeare!…I got a bit muddled!, he also used to sell Shakespeares, but the smaller variety!….

    great tour of the boat , i know what you mean when you see a boat and fall in love with it , its sad when you have to move them on for whatever reason. do you have pictures of the boat befire you rescued it, be interesting to see what state it was in , health is more important get yourself sorted or no boating to enjoy if you are not

    • @fat_tommo_goes_boating
      @fat_tommo_goes_boating  2 месяца назад +1

      @Spud63 I have some limited pics of what it was like. I didn't actually rescue it from scratch. Another guy bought it from the boatyard and I bought it after they started to get it sorted, so I finished it off I guess

    Hey Tommo, good tour of the boat, do you tow with a tonneau cover on or full towing cover? Is it the diet related diabetes you have?

    • @fat_tommo_goes_boating
      @fat_tommo_goes_boating  2 месяца назад

      @ChrisGetsOut I don't tow with any cover at all, if I can help it, but the tonneau cover would be the one if I had to.
      Yes it's type 2 diabetes, I have been fine controlling it with diet for years, but with all the other stress we have had, I haven't been thinking about it, which is why it's slipped back
