Epic day out, launching from Mylor, heading out towards The Lizard point, then over to St Mawes, Falmouth and then up the Truro river to Malpas before going back to Mylor.

Nice boat, I never realised that a motor boat like that could basically negate a big swell by motoring in between the waves. Very handy!! Us sailors have to watch the waves go by, sometimes over us!!!
@SailingWithDave I know that feeling too Dave...
The boat is modelled on an Austin Healey Tommo. I think the chap who owns the Healey cider company in Truro is connected via family to Healey cars somehow. Beautiful boat!
Thanks. I knew it had something to do with a car family
Lovely video Tommo, feels like yesterday I was down there. Can’t believe you only poked the captain with the rods and didn’t fish the Manacles 😮
Maybe next time the swell wasn't comfortable sat out there otherwise we would have.
I went to Newlyn yesterday, is fascinating looking at the fishing boats and the long line set ups
@@fat_tommo_goes_boating The big smiles on your faces say it all
@anotherangleUK after a month with my boat out of action, it was good to get afloat again
Great video Tommo! That swell got quite big! Not sure I would be brave enough for that in my little boat. 😂 Slipway looked nice, hope you did a review of it while you were there 😉Was there a lot of space for car and trailer?
@ChrisGetsOut yes I have done a review, I have been using it for 25 years occasionally too. Yes, there is plenty of parking up in the boatyard itself, which is a little walk up the road. If you are there early enough you can park in the road too.
The main thing to consider is the hills on the way in and out, if the road is wet my van only just pulls my boat up them with wheels spinning sometimes!
But in the dry, it's all good.
