Finally got around to this cover. Found an isolated drum track of Steve to jam along to. Both guitar solos I just pulled out of my a**, well maybe not as much on the first one. That second solo and the riff that's played has always confused the hell out of me even to this day so I played a piece of the Phantasm and Halloween themes, followed by some harmonized circus s*** that Pennywise would dig as he's ripping an arm off haha! More video on the way, thanks a lot for watching!!!

@@Iheartdgd yeah ive barely been playing for two years and i just mute with my hand; no fret wrap.
It's a classic recording technique. Metallica and a buncha other guys tape off strings they're not using, since you can get sympathetic vibration from strings you're palm muting too

Very nice indeed!! i remember Brian was selling his red BC Rich Beast on ebay ages ago, 2005 or 2006, he'd finished a tour. I asked him if he still had that glorious 80s red BC Rich Warlock and if so does he want to sell that. He said he did but it's not for sale. I offered him 5 grand for it but he wasn't budging, said he was going to be buried with it!!. So i left it at that haha. Nice guy actually.

Wow! Some brutal tone right there. I love the drum sound too. Nice and stripped down. Keep it real. I want to hear how nice your gear is not how nice your computer software is. Deicide`s s / t debut has been one of my favorite extreme metal albums for over 20 years. Truly one of the greatest.
Can't say enough good things about Steve Asheims drumming. Glen broke a string so Steve played a drum solo until the rest of the band returned to the stage. U know Deicide is already a high energy band PLUS a drum solo. Lastly this was one of those let's rip thru 20+ songs back to back shows.
Makes you remember that those Hoffman Brothers we're throwing down back in the day. Good job bruh 💪.

The riff on the vocal's part is f.awesome! It is so cool that you keep it without voice just the guitars. And yes it is a total headbanging riff
This was the first deicide tune I ever heard. Deaths Door tape I believe. It was so scary. Knew slayer but this was another level. Magazines with interviews with Glenn when they started out was hard to find . The first one talked about burning the cross in his head . I was like holy shit this dude is a badass. Scene them with original lineup. Awesome show at the Cains Ballroom. Met Glenn and stared at that cross while I got his autograph. Very cool guy.
