Bought this lens around three years ago and have used it extensively besides my other (S-) glass. Have never been disappointed and have to agree with everything you say in the video. Even took some macro-looking shots of the first butterflies a couple of days ago and they look stunning. Highly recommended.
Great lens. After purchasing this lens, I have yet to use the f4 kit lens that came with my Z7 when shooting casually outdoors. It does more than an adequate job.
Great review, love the lens too. I am planning to secure one this weekend to add to my collection, and will report back if I agree with all your comments (am sure will be!).
Yep couldn’t agree more. Price to performance is very good on this lens. Lowlight I feel isn’t as much of an issue due to the decent ISO performance of most of the Z cameras 🙂
My d500 can only read my cfexpress card if NOT fully inserted -- if I fully insert it says err. if I leave the door open and the card not fully inserted it works?
Maybe it's an issue with the card itself Father, try to clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol or even better contact cleaner if you have it. I would go as far as inserting the card with the solution still but making sure that the battery is out (Nikon cameras still work when off and media is inserted). Let dry for an hour just to be sure.
It's convenient but one of the lowest renders one of the lowest image quality's in the Z mount especially in the corners. 24 to 120 less reach but vastly superior rendering.
Honestly, the images I got from it I was so impressed by. Yes it may be on the lower side of the Z system but it’s still far better than the 24-120 F mount…
Please ignore the b-roll at 8:59 - accidentally used some of the 50-250 lens 😅😅😅 (spoiler alert, review of that coming soon) 😅😅😅

I think I'd skip the kit lens, to be completely honest.

report?
love the 24-200, very lightweight and has VR, wich is a win for video, maybe not the best in lowlight, but otherwise awesome

@@HamerReviews true! and combined with the incredible IBIS from the Zf you can drop the shutterspeed as well
It's so good I use it in some professional shoots. Waiting for the 28-400

That’s kind of wild. Afraid I haven’t had much time with the D500 so not something I’ve come across. Never had that issue with the Z cameras

we need more samples than speaking alone
