Hi Shane, just want to say that I've been following you since your Tumblr days and I'm just really happy to see you so successful and in a loving marriage. Hope you and Hannah are well ❤
I feel as though we will look back years from now on how airlines would make people get out of their wheelchairs to board a plane and be shocked as to how that even happened.
It seems absurd to me that there isn’t better access to bring wheelchairs on a plane. Even our county buses have a way to secure the biggest chairs. I wonder if there’s a technical reason, like if it’s unsafe to have a wide door, something that I don’t understand because I still don’t grasp how planes stay in the air 🤣
I am shocked now. I hope it doesn't take years. They need to fix this asap. People in wheelchairs should not be put thru that. I of course don't blame the employees. It's the rules and regulations of the airlines that need to change. I pray it does. Some people would be totally screwed if their wheelchair got broken, because some don't have the funds to get a new one right away. I hope the airline compensated them for the chair, since they broke it. Shane's chairs are like $500+
As an able bodied person you just don’t realise and appreciate how easy it is for me to travel and what disabled people have to go through to do the same. Thank you for sharing your lives and raising awareness. And the countdown Shane was awesome 🤩 x
Delta has gotten a lot of heat lately bc of broken chairs. My friend who’s on social media also had hers completely rendered useless for her. Her story went viral and she is still fighting to help others who this happens to.
That countdown was perfectly timed, congratulations Shane. Roll on the day when wheelchair users can travel in their wheelchairs when flying. They should be able to travel in comfort, the same as every other person. This Vlog highlights the difficulties wheelchair user’s face daily. Thanks Shane, Hannah and Liz xxx ❤️❤️❤️
True, however keep in mind they’re unlikely to publish anything of a negative attitude 🤷🏻♀️ they’re human after all and it would be understandable to feel frustrated or whatever. Keeping it real …
I've followed four page for awhile. You guys make me smile and crack up even into he worst of days! I'm so glad your chair is working! We still have a ways to go to allow full accessibility on flights. Kudos to picture-in-picture interpreting for accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing! Happy Summer!
I discovered your channel a few days ago and haven’t been able to do anything but watch video after video since. My husband and I are in love with you guys. Shane is not only handsome he’s hilarious and I understand why Hannah is so crazy about him. My husband thinks Hannah is a supermodel and he loves Shane’s sense of humor. Please keep posting, we are hooked!!!! ❤️
My husband and I have figured out how to travel with a backpack and carryon all over the world. We are in our 70's. But any challenge we may have does not even compete with what you have to manage on what should be a simple trip. I so admire your determination and tenacity.
Hi again H&S Always that special positive attitude no matter cause you always find a way over under around or through!! Happy you're able to get out and do your speeches etc. Must feel really good! You both help alot of people and hopefully someday us more challenged folks can ride their own chairs when they travel. Thx as always for all you share...
Ok, you give me hope on several levels. After 5yr journey trying to figure why I have progressive weakness, crushing fatigue, loss of balance and getting 2 rare disease diagnosis I though no one could ever care about me... did a good job of pushing everyone away. My identity was strong, active, going everywhere til 58 it started rapidly crumbling, felt like I had failed when docs dorked around. When needed bipap and oxygen at night , wheelchair for any distance and was told expect progression to continue I resolved myself to never traveling again. How could I ? Seeing you tells me even if not likely is remotely possible. Occurs to me they need to have POD system to ship WC in, could put all associated luggage in with chair, lock it up, roll it on and off. I usually think outside the box but this time think the box is the key. Glad mom was able to help.
It would be nice indeed (I am a wheelchair user). Sadly, it will likely never happen. Airplanes are fundamentally different from trains and buses (which have done this by the way). The passenger cabin is designed for maximum survival during an extremely high impact event. Unfortunately, there are no restraints made that would hold a wheelchair and its occupant during such an event (crash). Having a 500 pound wheelchair+occupant hurtling through the air after a crash is the nightmare scenario they are trying to avoid.
Your Over There ... why do who travel? Disabled people, people in wheelchairs? You don't think for one moment that things were preplanned, they didn't just turn up and expect the airline to accommodate!
Love Gators, hate Crocs!😅 Thank you so much for the laugh and the accent! I don't get to leave my house very often so, I really appreciate you taking us along on your trips. Sincerely, Carly 💞
You guys made the news. It’s sad that this happened and happens to chairs often. I’m an OT and I also see people just think that any old w/c will work.
I agree. I don't know why the population think that wheelchairs are like shoes and that the average person can fit into the average wheelchair. There is no such thing as an average wheelchair or wheelchair user. As you know as an OT, every single component of a wheelchair is designed specifically to suit each individual need of a person. One can't just jump into another chair if even something as seemingly insignificant as the height of a wheelchair back is out by a couple of centimetres.
Shane is the funniest person I swear. His personality is infectious. Both of you guys are awesome, and your personalities compliment one another's so well. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that. ;) Thanks for taking us on your trip! They really need to have better rules in place about wheelchairs. As a person not in a wheelchair, I am conscious about wheelchair, and other disability access, but never have I fully looked into it. Although the world (well parts of it, I can really only speak for the U.S) has gotten a lot better than it used to be, it's still a far cry form where it NEEDS to be. There are so many disabled people in our world, so I don't understand why it isn't just built with EVERYONE in mind. Not just able-bodied people. I have massive issues with my back, and I can't walk without support at least every few steps, so I understand in a way. I feel like ramps & railings (among other things) should be a thing that is in the plans for all future buildings. Whether my back gets fixed or not, has nothing to do with my stance on this. Even if I was fully able-bodied, I would feel just as strongly. No one should have to struggle to navigate thru towns, and cities, when it can 100% be avoided. Sorry for the rant. I have a tendency to do that about things I get passionate about. I wish I even knew where to start to try to make even a small change about accessibility for disabled people better. If anyone read this, thank you lol.
I just pray every time they all go on any trip that they enjoy life and keep going anywhere they choose. Enjoy life while u r young. N god bless ur Mother🥰
I drive a 2006 Toyota Sienna. Great car (8 seat minivan). It's been a great auto. Never had any major problems with it. Can't even think of minor issues its had (knock on wood!). Of course Ive treated it well and kept up on all routine maintenance. If you're looking for a great car that seats 8, this is the one!
Update: I didn’t even watch the video before I posted my message, so now that they actually talked about crocs in this video, it brings me so much joy!
Congrats on your first speech of the year. Now that things are opening up, you will probably have many more offers. Wow your breakfasts looked amazing. Take care guys, so happy to see Hannah's Mom still helping. Your the best Mom 🌿🌷👍
Back in 1991, Ed Roberts, (1939-1995) the founder of Independent Living and the World Institute on Disability (1983), the first global disability rights organization he tried flying in to Pierre, SD the state capital he was the speaker for a Parent Advocacy training I attended. Unfortunately there was no wheelchair access at that time so he had to fly into Rapid City than have a three hour ride to the capital. This was before the American Disability Act became law. Ed Roberts lived a great life. I would highly recommend doing a search online to learn more about his accomplishments and why living with a disABILITY is so much easier today thanks to people like Ed Roberts! We often forget that before 1974 (only 47 years ago) children living with a disABILITY DIDN’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE PUBLIC EDUCATION!
Hey Shane and Hanna! As somebody from the Central Florida area. What you where seeing in the distance was Disney World, Epcot, and all the other parks and Hotels. Which to be honest is probably way bigger then Downtown Orlando. Like Most of Florida. The counties are huge and usually have a couple cities in each county. Anyways just an F.y.i! Glad you enjoyed your time here. 😊

At 2:16 hannah is glowing she's absolutely stunning all the time but i noticed it as soon as i saw her and her smile could light up a room. Hannah, I love how you handle everything with dignity and grace. Way to go Mom for raising such a classy woman.
Hi Shane, just want to say that I've been following you since your Tumblr days and I'm just really happy to see you so successful and in a loving marriage. Hope you and Hannah are well ❤
Shane's countdown is perfection.
Yes it was!!!!
That was the best part of the video!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Shane the lightning whisperer 😎
Shane has a side job as he god of thunder!
Many things make me cry, these days. Shane’s count down, being one of them.
I love when Liz is part of the videos. She’s awesome 🙂
I second that!
I always look forward to seeing Liz play a cameo role on the videos. She adds a lot. Love her!!

I certainly hope so. This is so necessary and l can't believe it hasn't happened yet
Right!? I can’t imagine it would be impossible to make 1-2 rows with removable seats that have latches to lock a wheelchair in
@@tyffaneelavely8087 whoa whoa! It’s on the staff to move equipment safely when storing under the plane. Equipment doesn’t just break by itself.
As an able bodied person you just don’t realise and appreciate how easy it is for me to travel and what disabled people have to go through to do the same. Thank you for sharing your lives and raising awareness. And the countdown Shane was awesome 🤩 x
I enjoy your post. Take care of each other. I am a social worker, worked with disabled individuals for 31 yr, I enjoy watching you two interact
Your story made it on the Today Show! Sorry you had to go through that, but hopefully it leads to change across the travel industry
Whaaat. Ahh that’s so great! Hopefully some change to come. 😩
Delta has gotten a lot of heat lately bc of broken chairs. My friend who’s on social media also had hers completely rendered useless for her. Her story went viral and she is still fighting to help others who this happens to.
I hope this goes viral so maybe it could force change of procedures on all airlines as to letting wheelchairs on flights.
That countdown was perfectly timed, congratulations Shane. Roll on the day when wheelchair users can travel in their wheelchairs when flying. The only people that are comfortable on an airplane are in first class.
Shane's count down was awesome 👍
U have such a positive attitude about the whole situation with your chair, I need to work on being more positive when things go wrong. Love it.
True, however keep in mind they’re unlikely to publish anything of a negative attitude 🤷🏻♀️ they’re human after all and it would be understandable to feel frustrated or whatever. Keeping it real …
It would be very difficult to maintain a positive spin on everything in challenging and potentially dangerous situations. Have to be realistic as well
Me too

It would be nice if the airlines took out a seat and configured the floor to lock in a wheelchair.
Airlines don't design the planes. Companies like Boeing do.
They could still have ability to adapt them
theyre popular and energetic enough to pull lawmakers and make some change
