Bullying in korea is handled way more seriously than in the west. You can call someone a bully here and you may get a scoff and a " shes shitty " comment from time to time but in Korea its very different. Sadly her reputation is ruined. Its treated more like a crime than anything else
When I was 11 I cursed a girl out through texts because I got upset with her and she told her mom I was bullying her and it turned into a full thing.... so I would not be surprised at all if Garam is innocent, and she probably is to be honest. I doubt more updates will come at this point because it seems most people have given up, including Garam/HYBE after she was kicked out of the group

Woojin, Jimin and now Garam. How many times does this need to happen for people to learn? Kpop fans are the most stubborn people who REFUSE to admit when they were wrong about something. It's okay to have a knee-jerk reaction to a situation like this and get mad, especially if it hits close to you or if your peers are doing the same, but you NEED to learn to admit when you're wrong sometimes. It's okay to stay neutral on a case, it doesn't mean you're silencing the accuser or immediately thinking the accused is innocent. All it means is you come to an INFORMED opinion once all the evidence is out.
I can't imagine what Garam must be going through rn. Imagine being bullied and harassed by so many of your peers because of false rumors and ableism all throughout middle school. Then when you not only finally escape that environment, but pursue your dreams as an idol, those same bullies come back to haunt you and now make the entire internet turn on you as well. I never deep dive in any bully issue after aoa case. But as a hardcore Le sserafim fan, when i go melon, naver or any other Korean sites almost everyone are against garam. Korean netizens & gp are completely against her. They must have some reason. It's also cultural thing, bullying is taken seriously here than any other parts of the world. It's not about whether she is a victim or bully, we are not a judge anyways. Just hope it will not ruin group image anymore, we suffered so much. Most of people will not support gidle soojin if she redebut as solo even though she is proven innocent (i didn't follow this case). It is a harsh reality. So Hybe it'll be better to remove her. Tbh the most believable evidence against Garam is when it was confirmed she got a lvl 5 punishment from the School Violence Committee. I'm not sure if the restraining order and counselling part is true but it doesn't really go much further from there. So the only real evidence against Garam was pretty weak.
@@orion5445 That "restraining order" only turned out to be 5 hours of special education which is common in Garam's school but everybody ignored the fact that the victim recieved the highest level which is a level 8 (transferring schools) but moved schools on her own before she could even recieve the punishment

When this first started gaining traction, I remember you saying that if Hybe was so confident in Garam’s innocence, they must have a reason. That made me believe/hope that she was innocent, even without much evidence. Seeing all this evidence you’ve collected and how well you explained and presented it, I’m convinced she’s innocent.

I have 2 things to say in such situations :
1-Kpop fans have this weird sense of fighting bullying and racism by bullying others and dragging them++ calling them names and so... Regardless if the accusations are true.. I was really confused as to why everyone was so anti Garam because from early on: 1) The ministry of education said that punishment isn't the same everywhere, it means different things depending on the school. It was like I was the only one who understood that statement. 2) That Garam was defending her friend that someone took almost nude pictures and posted on the internet. This info was released early on, but no one talked about it. 3) Her accuser transferred to avoid punishment. 4) Someone attempting suicide doesn't mean she was a bully. And this was now not back then. Someone's reactions doesn't prove anything. I saw the k-tubers be anti Garam and it seemed to get views and publicity and stir up gossip

When I was a kid, I was told by a teacher to apologize to my bully for standing up for my friend because i said, "if you were nicer to people, you'd have more friends" and my bully started crying. She bullied the entire class for years and the school did nothing. I now work with trauma survivors. If I got kicked out of my job because I got pulled aside for "bullying" my bully when i was probably at most 10 years old, I don't know how I would recover. I hope this girl gets serious therapy and that she can still pursue other dreams.

people not wanting to support someone, who caused immense emotional and physical trauma to another person at a point in their life is justified and understandable, 'even' if the person did it at the age of 12. the bully is never the one, who suffers from long term trauma, the victim is. it's something they can't forget, no matter how old they were, when it happened...so seeing your ab*ser walk around with millions of people idealising them and practically kissing their feet, is a messed up situation to be in.

People in general like certainty and to take sides. The unfortunate reality for the people taking sides in this case is that none of us can know what is true and what isn't. Surely garam could've been a vicious bully, kpop has exposed plenty of bad folk, but I'd say that the story of her & her friend actually being the ones who were victimized is also believable. We simply don't know. We all went to middle school once and have seen both kinds of bullying take place - physical violence and reputation destruction.

Let's remember Sulli, who we believed was not properly protected by her company against slander that lasted years for much less than this and ended up taking her own life. People seem to think just because source music terminated her contract it means she’s definitely guilty because ‘oh if she wasn’t guilty they’d fight for her and prove her innocence.’ Do people not realise this companies run on a profit basis? Garam was already disliked from the get go of le sserafims debut and therefore had no backing or means for why the company would want to defend her. Public perception of her was and still is awful so it made sense to cut her off even if she was innocent because it would’ve been more hassle then it’s worth and people have already made it clear they want ls as OT5. So from a company pov it made sense to terminate her contract as it was in there best interest to do so.

I think so too. I think it's a shame, even tho I don't stan Le Sserafim. But the difference here to other bullying cases is that it started directly after debut. No matter how many times Hybe asures people Garam's innocent, Le Sserafim is doomed if she's not cut off. Atleast Skz, Gidle, Nct already hat a (rather good) reputation before, but Le Sserafim was fresh and new, so it would basically be causing their own downfall if they kept Garam. I just hope she can persue a Solo career (similar to Woojin) or get into another group. I also hope that Soojin can find a new job for her. Atleast Hyunjin and Lucas (and most other idols) are still in their group. Woojin has his own fanbase now and kinda solid solo career. But Garam is so young, I hope her future gets better! But sadly no matter where she goes now (even if it's not the Kpop industry) young people would probably know her.

It’s so annoying that people love to jump on random accusations. It’s not hard to stay neutral. They should have waited if Garam was actually found guilty or not. Bullying a 16yo without knowing the full story doesn’t make anyone a good person. Now she has lost her dream that she worked hard for for years and is hated by a lot of people.
The heartless people that jumped on the hate bandwagon without knowing the whole case might not care for Garam. But they like other idols for sure. With the way they acted they endanger every idol. Cases like this make random internet people realise how easy it is to destroy the career of someone without suffering any consequences. So who’s next? Those bullying scandals have gotten out of hand in the last 2 years.
And it’s always the same. Overwhelming accusations against someone by some random social media user (that sometimes has never even set foot in SK) -> people that dislike the idol spread the rumours -> more people will notice -> people will bully said idol bc they want to protect the victim (even though they don’t even know if that person really is a victim) -> lazy company takes the easy way out and abandons the artist. But once it’s too late more evidence gets released that the idol is the real victim of false bullying claims.
I might not know Garam or care that much for her since we only got to know her for like 2 weeks. But that doesn’t change the fact that I can’t be heartbroken by the way her dream was destroyed and (at least part of) her life ruined.
Kpop fans damaged her a lot. They already ruined woojin, and Soojin. The both of them was talented idols but now we don't even know where they are. Thier everything is wasted. The actual problem here is that people don't give sh*t about those idols. Le Sserafim literally debuted about three months ago. How could Garam possibly have haters already, that would love to see her downfall so much? Now it turns out that hybe's first statement is true because there's so many evidences now that garam is really being bullied and garam is not the bully.
My problem with this is that this video shouldn't even have to be made. The situation blew up with the allegations alone. There was literally nothing supporting the allegations but that didn't stop the gossip sites and channels from twisting quotes out of context to try and flame the situation. Not just that but the lack of logic and intelligence from the people crying "But all of the evidence!". There was no evidence. The only thing close was that disciplinary report which at the end of the day still lacked context.
Really just exposes how big the fake news problem is in kpop

It's crazy when you really think about it. Garam is 16 now, still a minor, and so are all of her old classmates, the people who spread rumors online of her being a bully in the first place. We're literally watching some teenage temper tantrums play out in public. It's ridiculous. For any normal person, all of this nonsense would be forgotten in a few years and everyone would move on with their lives. Instead, this could potentially ruin Garam's career forever, and possibly also ruin the "victim's" reputation/livelihood as well.
As someone who had to live through T-ara, Sulli, Hara and AOA Jimin, I'll need more evidence, thanks. I am not gonna say the girl is innocent but I am not gonna go through a hate campaign to bully an actual child. Chill out, and sit down before you get out your pitchforks people.
I am honestly so annoyed with this whole situation. Yet again Kpop stans did not wait to hear the full story or actually listen to evidence and now they may have a ruined a young woman’s career. Because now we are in the situation where SO many people are just blindly believing the claims against Garam that Hybe has been put in an impossible situation. Either keep Garam in the group and the group would probably get unnecessary hate because of it and it may diminish the groups success, which would suck for all of the members. OR remove her from the group, basically allowing the online Kpop bullies to win and essentially ruining Garams career. sometimes i feel like kpop stans (especially on tiktok) only hate on people for the sake of hating on someone. if they looked into the scandal on their own instead of just believing what other kpop stans say, they would notice that it all seems very fishy. whenever bullying scandals pop up about idols that have been in the industry for a while and have build up rather large fanbase, pretty much nobody believes the allegations and everyone comes to their defense. but when there are newer idols involved in these controversies, suddenly every kpop stan on earth starts attacking them without even considering that it might all just be lies. and then they also start spreading new rumors and make the situation seem way worse than it actually is JUST FOR THE SAKE OF DOING SO. i can genuinely not explain to myself why else these people are doing stuff like this.

I was bullied throughout elementary and high school. I don't see myself prancing around in public demanding "woke justice" from strangers to ruin the careers of my bullies if they were ever to become famous. My bullies did not even get punished with "level five school punishment" or whatever, and I'm already handling my situation better than that eunseo. My bullies aren't exactly famous now, but they're successful in their own ways. I'm not out here sending letters to their bosses or HR to fire them for their deeds at 12, 13, 14, etc. years old.
Cherry on top of the cake is that eunseo is not exactly innocent, either. What's that claim about eunseo LEAKING NUDES OF A MINOR? Specifically Garam's friend? Amazing how kpop fans are easily ignoring how Garam could be the hero in this story for defending her friend. I know she should take responsibility if she's really done it but so should her parents for not raising her properly.
I was bullied in school and I was younger than them so that affected my mental health horribly. Even if she was bully, how is bullying her helping victim's side? If anything, people are getting on the same level as supposed bully.

I kinda disagree, i wish she would have spoken with less condescending language towards the opposing side so that if any stumble across this video they will be able to actually sit through it and comprehend the evidence rather than focusing on the accusatory tone which is ironically criticized in this video. I understand the situation is very frustrating but i am sure she revised the script and video multiple times and should have used a more direct language than one that makes fun of the opposing side. Also, many of the “facts” mentioned here are speculative and could be argued against by the opposing side with the same question e.g. law firm did not release proof they claimed they had; Hybe did not release theirs either. I’m assuming one side is BSing and the other preferred providing the evidence to court that to the public.
