People commenting about “Sting should retire, this version sucks.” Not sure if you all are aware, but a song is not meant to be a static thing. It is a LIVING thing, and is open to interpretation by all who play it. As a professional musician myself, if I had to play songs exactly the same way every gig, I’d go nuts. That’s like punching a clock. So if the band decides to stretch a section, add parts, remove parts, put a solo in somewhere, etc., instead of griping about “that’s not the way Stewart Copeland would play it,” try immersing yourself in the music and letting the musicians onstage take you along on the journey. If you want it to sound like the record, stay at home and listen to the record.
Well...I have been the very big fan of the Police and Sting"s solo projects so far. However, the concert seems to be very disappointing. I wonder why he is still performing the old hits, whereas they sound worse and worse. He got old and beautiful " Tea in the Sahara " today doesn't sound fine. Maybe it's the moment to say goodbye?
Absolute Killer Performance! He is 70+ and still kicking some serious ass! Why is he still playing old hits? Really??? Because he has a Ton of them! Maybe it’s time for you to visit a doctor?just saying 🙏🏼♥️
@@peter93794it’s a beautiful song and he used to sing it marvelously but there he sings out of key and it’s actually not very good. One really don’t need good pitch to hear it. Tis’ a pity
Its time to say goodbye STING what a crap sound and millers guitar is so worse.......Andy Summers play it 10 times better........time for retirement STING but i assume U will sing Roxanne with 84 years still.....sorry man but this 3.0 tour sucks so much...... .....

Pretty hard to beat the blue turtles interpretation of this song live. And harder still for any drummer to follow Vinnie generally.
Sounds like a lot of conversations and noise in the background durkng this song
Unfortunately i have two young ladys behind me who came to the concert to talk and not listen
@@Spiro721976 ahhh ok, sucks man. Thanks for the explanation

This particular performance is somehow too sophisticated to be liked by the masses. Absolutely brilliant.
