@@Nothing-db1zy Well, I think there is a balance to documenting and living the moment. I usually film a song or two and position the phone under my eyes so as not to block other people and to not fall into the trap of just spending the moment in making sure I've videoing properly. I'm happy this person videoed this song as I certainly am happy to have a chance to hear it again in this arrangement. This is a song that Sting doesn't play that often.
No, for sure. Sting kind of looks at him like "Oh shoot, You know that one let me see if I can remember it". He even looks a little stunned looking at Dom at the end of the song kind of like "This is going to be an interesting night if you're going that deep with the song selection".
@@herbphelps8713 I think that they are playing it a little loose with the setlist as in it's not set from night to night. Dom probably picked a song from the pool of songs that they thought that they'd do on the tour but maybe one that hadn't been played yet.
It’s great to hear him perform this after a long time of not playing it. I think the reaction is from what’s coming from the drums. Omar had a precision with timing on the original. The drummer here was a little late on the beat. That was the reaction I think.
@@gerimayawhyte154 Yep, they don't play this one too often, but it has been played before on this tour. They've been playing Tea in the Sahara or Wrapped around your Finger more often in this "Dom's Choice' slot.
This song played in the Police style sounds empty, it needs the rest of the instruments. Stings always thought that any song for the simple reason that he’s in front playing it’s going to sound right
Thank you for posting. I have watched several videos from several shows from this tour. I cannot hear the bass. Is it that phones cannot record that sound or are made to diminish that boom/thump? Could you hear the bass while you were there?
Try playing it thru a Bluetooth speaker. The mic on your phone will capture it, but the phone speaker is too small to reproduce it. I played this on my Bose and the bass is pretty good 😉
Never heard a live version of this wonderful song before, thanks for
sharing
Saw Sting this past Saturday night in Port Chester NY. He was unbelievable, they all were. True professionals.
Awesome to hear this classic 🙏
What a wonderfull song ❤❤❤
Thanks! I’m grateful someone recorded this gem from near the front last night ❤
Well... But isn't Sting's fans generation all against smartphones filming shows, with that "live the moment" crap?

Super il y a longtemps que Sting n'a pas chante chanson ❤❤❤
Was there this night. I think Dom caught Sting off guard with his song choice tonight. Watch the reactions in the first 30 seconds

Might have been in a key Sting was not comfortable with?

@@JureJere1975 Don't really like it in this key, but it's an amazing song.
Wow

I was at this concert Definitely can hear Sting's bass lines clearly.
Phones rarely capture bass that well without distorting. It really depends how you position it and how close you are to the speakers.
