Sting is in much better shape than most rockers from the late 70s and early 80s just by taking care of himself… it really shows in his music and performances JMHO.
I agree. Sting’s dedication to maintaining his health and well-being clearly reflects in his music and performances. It's impressive to see how he has managed to stay in such great shape compared to many rock musicians from the late 70s and early 80s. His commitment to self-care definitely contributes to his continued success and vitality.
Thought the same ❤
Another of an almost similar age who's in similarly good shape is Paul Weller. Good to see rockstars who want to stay healthy as they get older.
Plus Jon Bon Jovi
@@karensullivan-barker4957 Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones) - Even in his 80s, Mick Jagger maintains incredible physical condition through running, yoga, and dancing. His performances are still full of energy and stamina.
Bruce Springsteen - Known for his physically demanding concerts, "The Boss" stays in great shape by sticking to a rigorous workout routine. His live shows often last for hours, showcasing his endurance.
Alice Cooper - The rock legend keeps himself fit with regular physical activity, including golf. Despite his age, he continues to perform with high energy on stage.
Lenny Kravitz - Known for his fitness and youthful appearance, Kravitz stays in top condition through exercise, healthy eating, and an active lifestyle. His physical shape is often as impressive as his music.
Pharrell Williams - In his 50s, Pharrell looks significantly younger than his age. His secret is a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, and a positive mindset, which contribute to his youthful energy and appearance.
He's almost 73....unbeliavable voice still...
My favourite voice of music of all time , incredible performer
He’s still got it ❤ looks and sings like a champ 🤩
Totally agree ❤❤❤🎉
God bless this man he just loves what he does and is really good at wow
3 people on stage - and it couldn't be fuller and more perfect!
If it were The Police it would be. No disrespect to the guys.
@@ashleybarker937 Those other two are even better . At least in live performance. Much more technical.
A voz continua a mesma o cara é foda demais sou fã dessa musica
Love Sting and really enjoyed watching his Andy Summers inspired guitarist play. An example of brilliant, melodic guitar playing without the overdriven thrash bang associated with rock music these days. Quality trio.
72 years old and still note perfect
He's not note perfect here though.
@@mungofinalfi4480 splitting hairs
HE IS 72??
@@mungofinalfi4480lol he is as close to perfect as any live performance can get. You are being ridiculous.
@@mungofinalfi4480 yes but it's easier for someone to just say something with no knowledge online.
no words... effin legend
They don’t make rock stars like this anymore ! Hrs always been my hero I learnt guitar because of him , first song I learnt was a police one ❤️ glad I was a 70’s child x sting you’re amazing I saw the police ‘s last gig in Cardiff 2007 when his daughter and son played too . Great musicians and singers in their own right . How awesome having a Dad like him playing guitar and writing songs all the time . Yoga has kept him so strong health n fit ! Still got it gorgeous !! ❤❤
It’s amazing to hear such a passionate reflection on Sting’s influence! His career is a testament to both musical brilliance and personal discipline, particularly through his commitment to yoga and health. As a 70s icon, he inspired countless musicians with his unique blend of rock, jazz, and reggae, and it’s incredible that his children have also followed in his footsteps. Seeing The Police’s last concert must have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience! His ability to remain relevant and in excellent shape over the decades shows that his artistry, both in music and life, is timeless.
What a great journey for someone like you, who started with The Police and still follows his legacy!
@@you_tune thank you 🤩😀♥️♥️♥️♥️truly is an absolute icon is sting ! I had chicken pox age 15 my Dad bought me Don’t Stand So Close To Me! I was off school bored ! And very spotty ! 🤣it cheered me up ! Bless my Dad he passed away last January… lovely memory
@@Sombre_Moon_sistermoon It’s truly a touching and heartfelt memory. Music often has the power to lift us up during tough moments, and it’s beautiful that your dad gave you something so meaningful to cheer you up. “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” became a special reminder of your bond, and although your father passed away, this memory keeps him close to your heart. It’s wonderful how music can carry emotions and preserve cherished moments, offering comfort even after a loved one is gone. What a beautiful legacy he left you with such a sweet memory.
@@you_tune ♥️thank you
Some zenith. Great singing along by the audience. No fussing, just fighting, as usual. So good - the up-tempo feels like the original speed. I first realized, then forgot about the tempo, and was reminded thereof reading the comments.
Great Sting cantando muito
YES!!!! One of my generation's greatest!
Vida longa, amore ❤
WOW! brilliant
Timeless, and Sting still has it 100%
Super ! Toujours là, même voix.
Superb same key and sounding great
Viva o rock sempre e eternamente.
It's awesome
Lookin’ and sounding GREAT STING 🐝
Musica de verdade!
Nothing wrong with his voice ...still great, like always.
A+
Que bien se mantiene Sting, Crack! 💪
❤❤❤❤
Apparently, Sting told his drummer, "Push the tempo all you like, BUT NO FLAMS!"
True that. The song’s groove is incredibly minimalistic and hypnotic, with a steady, unembellished rhythm that helps create the haunting, obsessive atmosphere of the song. Sting's emphasis on groove over fills lets the vocals and the message of the lyrics take the spotlight. This song thrives on that "less is more" approach.
The first ten beats Chris plays in this Preston show were big fat flams as they opened with so lonely..
How true Sting, they are watching you and all of us.
👍👍👍 멋집니다

Sting actually sounds better here than he did 20 years prior, IMO!
Até alguns mêses estava ouvindo THE POLICE...
Cada música 🎶 boa
Sting top ❤
Compartilhei esse clip traduzido com minha irmã Daiane 😅
I had to play this at 0.75x speed - they seem in a rush!
needed a 0.9x speed but great suggestion !
I agree, he plays the song too fast
a lot of artists play thier songs faster live. Some bands speed up the tempo of their performance in order to squeeze a few more songs into their setlist
Sting and Stuart used to argue and get into fist fights backstage about he tempo, one saying they were going too slow and the other saying they were going too fast.
you must've enjoyed yourself... lol
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹Bravo!!!
amazinnnggggggggg
Ooohhh, Masterpiece 🙌🙌🙌 Love Police, yes Sting :D
HAPPY 73TH BIRTHDAY STING !!!!
Who cares if sings in same key. It would be great in any key
Great! ❤👍
didnt knew he had a hipshot tuner on that bass! cool that he flipped the switch and went drop D for the final part
same
I think it's not a bass he used to tour with previously. It's less worn-out. I know sting had two basses from the similar era so maybe this is the other one or simply custom shop replica.
You can't beat a good brass section 🎺
You can't beat a good bass section
This Guy bought a poor kid some shoes
So he could attend

Back In the day as a teacher.
Good man Sting.
Also paid for a proper burial of an unknown man.
Who's body was found.
アンディとスチュアートの弾き方とサウンドを忠実に再現してて良いですね。
My hero
Bit fast. Sounds like they were in a rush to leave Preston.
Original tempo
stupid
@@mattieskemoevie Not even close to original. It was much faster.
I thought the same
Who wouldn't be in a rush to get out of that utter dump.
❤🔥
Dominic Miller killing it, nice.
Xcellent
A true inspiration for us older players.
❤🤟🤟🤟
♥
Как всегда, неверрроятно хорош!
La misma voz encatadora
Please add a new date in Buenos Aires for February 2025. The first show was sold out and I couldn't buy tickets
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟❤
I wasn’t expecting an airplane ending!😮
2024. Still amazing....
trio
HIS VOICE REMAINS THE SAME
Speed 0.93x was better (for me)
This riff existed even one year before this song: "Nem sikerül kikúrálni magam" by Hungarian group KFT.
had to check that out. Very different riffs
Millencolin fez cover dessa música 🎶 que saiu no melanchloy collection😂
Thought i had sped up the vid when the song started lol, its too fast
super like
Was Sting’s dinner ready? Why the rush? Ropey version
New custom shop bass 🤙🏾
WNEN WILL YOU STOP, MR. STING.?IT WAS ENOUGH.
Старичок бодрит 🎉
He obviously wants to catch the last bus!!
💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃🎶💃💃🎶💃💃💃
Love his music.🎶
Still sound cool
This is the fast version from the original one
Why u wtite much faster? In live shows always was a bit faster the tempo, its not radio...and also they sound so perfect!!!!
Stewart and Andy would do that a 1000 better Ego sting
MEH 🫤- I’m 70ish and don’t dislike Sting now, but didn’t think THIS was a very good performance. I can’t really pinpoint what it was, however it seemed to be rushed vocally, and the instrumental parts were a bit repetitive. I WILL always 💖 ‘Fragile’ though - regardless of what year it’s done! In spite of my negative opinion, I give him credit for putting on live concerts, as I do others at his age and those even older (i.e. Mick Jagger who’s in his 80’s!).
Do these guys not own a tuner between them?
who´s the drummer?
Chris Maas
@@storch2605 Thanks.
Taxi for sting.
Make it a limo. Hes phenomenal.
Why form another power trio to play old police songs why not get summers and copeland and male it real?
Cause it seems like when it comes to making or performing music together they can’t stand two minutes with each other 😂
he must have been late for his tea !
que se deje de joder Sting y que vuelva con The Police y la rompen toda... una mas y no jodemos mas
why is in being played so much faster?
Tempo is too fast and I hate the "whoa, whoas".....😅
Why the drummer sped up completely? Voice mic don't sound powerful enough
hes passed his sell by date!
Slow down Sting!
Sting are running by the police? Very fast.
has not lost a step..yoga diet exercise no drugs
He used to moan when Stewart was playing too fast, but he's letting that dufus excuse of a drummer play dead fast 😅😅😅
Stewart is a different kind of drummer. Police sounds way better with their new drummer.
Less drum fills, more feeling (in my opinion)
@@TinoSchulz1990
This drummer is shit and is just a 'drummer'. Absolutely zero personality coming through with his playing, just like the last guy with the specs who was even worse. Sting has lost it big time.
they are playin with backin tracks so click is there
@@salvadordrumpe Yes. But that's not a bad thing.
They didn't use backing tracks for this song tho. But indeed they used a click (128bpm)
@TinoSchulz1990 3.23
What music is this, not the same
Can’t stick him
Very disappointed at this betrayal. Respect for all his various band and most of his music, but if he's gonna do it like this again: That should be Stewart and Andy with him.
Too fast!
Without Summers and Copeland , this song seems really out of tune.
Still better than Jose Feliciano
@@tommaxwell4470😂😂😂
I’ve never liked any of the police’s live versions of this song.. sting does it better on his own.. Dom millers guitar style and sound suits stings vocals better than Andy’s.. in my opinion
Nevertheless, it's a great performance
The bass and guitars were in E flat for the whole set.
Think it’s a stylistic choice.
All i can say is i am glad i didnt go 5 mile up rd and pay to see this,, some i know walked out and went up town,,
Who gives a f dude 😂
When the drummer needs a poop break...
EACH TIME STING PLAYS THESE SONGS WITHOUT STEWART COPELAND & ANDY SUMMER AND CHANGES THE ARRANGEMENT A BIT THESE SONG KEEP DYING LITTLE BY LITTLE IT'S NOT WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE SOUND LIKE IT'S LIKE A HORRIBLE COVER
Last concert with Sting was really disappointing 😕
why not just playing with the police again? hhahha
que facil es sustituir a Summers y Copeland...
Man, they ruined it.
