- It's an easy install for the Traxxas LED light kit on the TRX4 K10 Pickup High Trail Edition! I walk through the steps I took to install this kit and show some quick footage of the results!

When it says to put it through the receiver box, it means that small box to the side of the receiver box. you should thread it through that small hole and then wire it to the receiver. its a very tight fit but if you move the other wires to the side, it'll go in at a weird angle. But, that rubber piece is just in case you needed quick access to hit the button on the receiver so that you could connect a new transmitter/remote. I have the f150 high trail, so I understand the struggles lol
I guess he didn’t see the other 17 wires coming in through the right way lmao
I installed this and the ESS sound kit. Really makes the truck look and feel more real, also put some skinnier super swampers on it of the same size.
Was thinking about some super swampers for this as well!
Yes it does looks real good, appreciate your sharing will watch for the next one
Thanks for the video. Just got myself the F150. Will be looking for a light kit now, lol.
Got same truck today in black I’ll get the lights soon thanks for video looks easy
Nice job, can't wait to get mine on
Yeah awesome, love the lights specially for those night runs good times
You should look at your watch more often 😂 great video
Yeah, I was pretty bad, I was checking if I was in frame but I really didn’t need to. Learned from that one 🤣
Good video friend ✌️
Yeah I use liquid electrical tape works great
Why do we say "Allen wrench " but also call the corresponding fastener "hex" .
Random thought as I was watching. I just got the High Trail F150 in Brown. Going to search for the light kit now. Thank you for making this video and sharing it.
Awesome, that’s also a great looking truck. I imagine the Ford body is close but not certain that it uses the same kit.
Looks good
Good job. What is the part number for the kit please?
I think its 8038
Should be TRA8038 !
Liked and subbed man! Love the K10!!
Thanks!!
VERY GOOD
Big like
What's the part number for the distribution block bracket also great video. Thanks.
I purchased the whole 8083 kit, uncertain the part number for just the bracket.
@@DustinsAdventure OK. Also, thanks for the reply I appreciate it and happy holidays to you.
I think I'd rig up a micro servo to run a switch off a spare channel so you could use the transmitter to on/off the lights. It takes away from the effect and fun if you can remotely operate the lights. Is this possible just by setting on/ off end points with a non RTR 4 channel set up?
nice watch !! I"d look at the time every eight seconds to, you know, just because i can !!
Lol yeah I biffed that on this video, I was checking if I was in frame while filming as I am using it to start and stop recording.
Part#? Also I want to add the rock lights, it just plugs into the same power block correct?
Traxxas 8038, I think you could just plug the rock lights into this power block as well, note that this setup doesn’t have any remote/radio switch ability.
@@DustinsAdventure yes that’s fine, I only plan on adding a micro switch in between the ESC and “power block” so I can run no lights on days.
What is the link to the lights?
When I put my lights in I thought I had a complete kit but you don't get a complete kit the lights won't dim or brighten or turn off so thinking the Traxxas link would do that I purchase a Traxxas link they still don't work so then I'm told I have to buy a power module to get them to work properly by the time you get through you've spent well over $100 it's just not worth it
I’m happy with the basic functionality of these lights. This kit makes them work, but if you want to dim you need to remove the jumper and to turn them off just refrain from plugging them in. These were $55 I believe.
👍👍💪💪💪💪👍👍👍
That should be standard equipment from traxxas.
Agreed!
What’s kit number
Traxxas 8038
