Love the way you update your content when new stuff comes into continuity, you really are one of the best youtubers, defiantly fantasy/sci-fi in my opinion
The great empire of the dawn sounds so cool I’d love to learn more about it in a video, hopefully we learn more in the future novels! Well done nice vid
this really puts into perspective how old some empires are compared to others. I always thought of ghis as being so old but the starks of winterfell are even older and people like the summer islanders and the sarnori are even older
kwadwo baidoo yeah. we look at this fantasy world as compared to our middle ages. but in fact there's more years of history in this world than there is in our real history.
Could you do a history of the Avatar universe series? The Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra universe that is, not the one with the blue monkeys :)
Amazing work, good nerd(-ism) and great pace. People can really benefit, if you turned the voice volume up, like srsly UP. Thank you for everything else.
In terms of matching real history its similar to England, ie- the children of forest seem like the british celts, the first men are anglo-saxons - who also forged an alliance with them, the white-walkers are the Viking invasion of England, the andals are the northmen invasion, an the targaryens are like the romans after they founded London in 43 ad.
I hear Eurons planning on targeting the reach for in this new war, I'm curious how far he can get in the show with his nephews running off with the Iron fleet
Lol ok, I hear ya. At least I was kind enough to ask, I was about to just tell you. I ruin it for the fake game of thrones fans, but to the real ones, I'll ask. Very interesting what happens though!
Is there anything we know of the origin of the giants, children of the forest or the first men? Did magic create this world or it formed through scientific ways?
Daenerys qarth chapters are my favourite in all asoiaf. Why? Because of how creepy and mysterious they were and it’s also the furthest east we’ve ever been
Book and show cannon are of course different. However, it's taken 8,000 years for them to build an army and (likely) wage another war. So, 4,000 years isn't really anything.
I kind of feel like they waited so long the second time around so that everyone forgot their weaknesses and that they even existed. I don't think it would actually take them that long to create an army of corpses. Considering how the show creators have implied that most of the corpses have been dead for less than a few years.
Hey guys, over the next few months I am going to be updating the A Song of Ice and Fire Timeline series. Part 1 and 2 will come out this month :)
CivilizationEx very cool of you.
Maybe I'm stupid, but is it possible to find the soundtrack used for The Long Night anywhere?
CivilizationEx Is this a reupload?
No it is an updated version of a video series I did over a year ago.
It's called Before Dawn at audionautix.com

The Ancient Hero is interesting, the same "legend" appeared across many different places. That definitely isn't a coincidence.

DREJ 101 game of thrones is actually set further in the future than real life history
Could you do a history of the Avatar universe series? The Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra universe that is, not the one with the blue monkeys :)
Daníel Þórðarson I’d love an ATLA lore series it’s got such awesome lore imho, what a great show
Is this a re-upload or have you added new information and new illustration.
New everything pretty much, re-did all the maps and drawings, rewrote the script and re-recorded.
CivilizationEx If it means new content that's fine by me. P.S. If you're not already, you should be a professional narrator.
You should talk about the hundreds of first men/andal kings id love to know more about them.
Is this a more in depth version of the history you already did? Not complaining I love your content I was just curious.
Never mind I posted this before I refreshed the video after I watched it and before you posted the comment explaining it.
Can you do videos on other things from the MCU? Like Ghost Rider? Or just information about all the magic properties of their world?
Do a video about the background story of the members of the brotherhood without banners, there are so many cool characters there.
Amazing work, good nerd(-ism) and great pace. People can really benefit, if you turned the voice volume up, like srsly UP. Thank you for everything else.
Would love to see some Wheel of Time Lore videos pop up on this channel if you are interested

Can you do a video on prehistory? I like the idea of sinor and fisher queen
Check out my video called ASOIAF: Dawn Age, it covers much of that. :)
Hey civilization ex please do David weber honor Harrington book series?
name of the first song?
Name of last song
I hear Eurons planning on targeting the reach for in this new war, I'm curious how far he can get in the show with his nephews running off with the Iron fleet
Ryan Brown how curious are you? I can tell you everything that happens to Euron this season, if you wanna know
DREJ 101 Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass on any Ironborn spoilers, I like to sit back and watch the mayhem unravel
Lol ok, I hear ya. At least I was kind enough to ask, I was about to just tell you. I ruin it for the fake game of thrones fans, but to the real ones, I'll ask.

We don't know their origins, but my guess is that it's a mix of evolution and magic, depending on the species.
Blessed are the mazemakers.
Qarth>>>>>>>Anyone or anything who dare stand in their way.
#it'scomplicated -
lol killed by ONE earthquake
Daenerys qarth chapters are my favourite in all asoiaf. Why? Because of how creepy and mysterious they were and it’s also the furthest east we’ve ever been
if the children created the walkers 12000 BC how come we didn't see them until 4000 years later?
saljpal3 that TV show canon not book

Let's not forget that we don't know for sure how long ago everything from the Dawn Age to the Hundred Kingdoms lasted.
so the children of the forest in the tv are 8k years old? dafuq
Timeline might be different in the show, but yeah they're pretty old.
in what book this is writen
The world of ice and fire history book
Worship a "Black Stone" that fell from the sky.... Sounds familiar
There's a black stone in mecca
I'm have a theory that the reason the wildlings are on the oher side of the wall is because they helped the others in some way
Jack Wallace Or they stayed
seems like a dumb idea to stay next to where the ice monsters came from
Jack Wallace Some people just don't give a shit.
It's amazing how all of this was in someone's mind lol have to remind myself it's not real history

Anyone think Jon will create life bringer by killing Sansa?
Lightbringer*
ThatNutsAuzzie12 no, it has to be his lover......which will be dany
andals suck.
That's what my ancestors said after 1066 when their origin-people invaded England. Though at least they brought in new ideas chivalry an armour etc.
They need to make a spin off of the long night, with azor ahai as the main character
