    I love the old style of this. Look how well it’s all been preserved! The interior is amazing and you could literally just imagine living there years back. Oh and anything with old in is always a Winner for me 😂
    God Bless ✝️🥰

    A restaurant guide is really helpful. We have been to many cities, destinations and have had no clue where to go to eat. Having an insider look is great!

    The Stable Cafe is definitely very atmospheric, but I can decide between it and the Courtyard Market, I love the castle yard atmosphere.

    I haven’t had ice cream in ages so when I finally cave the weather probably won’t matter. These places all look great. The Conservatory is so beautiful.

    I really would like to go to The Dairy Bar. Especially if the weather is nice and you could be outside enjoying it. We will eat ice cream in any weather, even freezing cold, lol!i

    I love ice cream however not when sitting outside in cold or freezing temperatures to enjoy it, by a warm fireplace and I am fine. That winter vegetable bisque looked amazing!!

      Same here! I just can't wrap my head around eating ice cream outside in the cold. Inside . . . no problem, but those who can eat something freezing cold outside on a a freezing cold day are on a whole 'nother level! LOL!

    I'd so want to eat in the old horse stables but they all look fab. I would rather a cup of tea on a cold day rather than an ice cream!

    The conservative restaurant was gorgeous, it has such a warm welcoming feeling with all the greenery 🌸 and I love my salads 🥗 I have to agree with the little girl because I always tell my boys “ice cream is for the warm weather” 😂 loved the sunset. The food looks gorgeous at the stables

    Being from Georgia, I've had collard greens quite a bit but they aren't really a favorite. I prefer okra whether fried or boiled!

      I was never much for collards either, until the Biltmore! I had no idea they could be so good! And a big Yes to the Okra! Especially fried!!!! yum!

    Is the stable café worth trying?
    How does it compare to the bistro or village social which do you recommend as the stable café long hike to have something to eat vs the places at antler village where all dining is closely located

    • @christyevershappily4eversafter
      @christyevershappily4eversafter  2 года назад

      I’ve never had a bad meal at Biltmore. Both the Bistro and stable cafe are amazing. I’d say it’s really up to you and where you are at dining time. The bistro has more seating, so it maybe easier to get a seat if you don’t have reservations.
      I haven’t been able to eat at the village social yet. They have more limited hours. I tried to eat there last week but it turns out they are currently open only for breakfast mom-Thurs and only have lunch and dinner over the weekend. I have no doubt the food is good there too. I’d look at the menu and see what appeals to you most. It’s hard to go wrong at Biltmore.

      Got it! The terrace...how do we get to that? And this video made me so hungry!! :-)

    • @christyevershappily4eversafter
      @christyevershappily4eversafter  3 года назад +1

      The terrace is directly on the side, next to the Biltmore House. You’ll see it on the way to the Gardens. However, if you’re wanting to see the sunset it will depend on the time of year. The terrace is good for the winter when the days are short. The house and gardens close long before the sunsets in the summer. In summer the best place to see a sunset is from the lagoon or in Biltmore Village from one of the hotels. I talk a bit about summer sunsets in this video ruclips.net/video/0T0y6izDrbc/видео.html

      @@christyevershappily4eversafter Thanks! Just got tickets for the Christmas evening event, so it will be possible to catch the sunset (weather permitting) in November. I checked the sunset time: 5:19PM the day we are visiting. From what I read, we can go on the grounds after 4:00 or 4:30. Our self-guided tour time is at 6:30. We do want to eat at The Stable Cafe though, thanks to this video, so we might only see the beginning of the sunset in order to have a relaxed dinner. Or we can opt for the Courtyard Market (again thanks to your video), if it’s not too cold to eat outside or on the terrace. Anyway, that’s what I’m thinking.

      @@ohiogirlincalif yes! That’s the perfect time for the sunset. That’s actually the time of year I took the sunset footage. I went to check out Biltmore for Christmas and the sunsets right between the closing of the daytime and before the night events start. I’m so happy you’ve found my tips helpful. 😊. My suggestion would be to eat at the stable cafe, and then grab a drink to enjoy while the sunsets on the terrace, weather permitting. November can often be very pleasant.

      @@christyevershappily4eversafter That is a perfect solution/suggestion! Thanks. I was juggling the timing. So an early dinner is a good idea.
