I agree about the beauty of it. All cities have must try restaurants, many of them less expensive than the ones in Asheville. It's just not a travel destination that I can get excited about.

Many of these attractions are NOT Asheville. Visit western North Carolina, avoid Asheville. The Arboretum is an environmental disaster, bricks, concrete, and asphalt in the Pisgah National Forest where trees used to be. Craft breweries? DUI is a problem.
Come and spend lots of tourist dollars, enjoy with consideration, then go home with a smile on your face. But DO NOT move here!!
