Seems a lot of people have been spending “£70k” on modding their cars recently.
I’d love to see mod list with prices 🤔

Exhaust is titanium hence the colour
The car would have cost £70k to develop when milltek built it but he probably bought it for maybe £30k.
Most of the money would be in development rather then outright parts
Had a mk. 7 HGP Golf R running around 500 bhp, and the thing looked stock, so elegantly done. Cleanest looking 2.9 sec 0-60 mph car. This thing looks a bit like someone took a torch and a wrench and went for it... love the R400 kit👌🏻

I love how people are banging on about the 70k price tag,,,, its an impressive car, you don't modify or upgrade your car to think about selling it on. Some people do it on the cheap and know people that can help out and some people pay more etc. Just gotta take time to appreciate what he has done. Great car and video!

but seeing people mod and spending over 2x the cars value is just not the best investment... they will never get the money back the more miles it puts on and the older it gets. I'm sure you could achieve a similar performance and look for less. ...but hey, it looks/sounds nice, the owner loves it and thinks it worth while. you never know, it could become a classic in the next 30 years and be worth much more!

Needs more front track... R didn't come in 2dr then did it - Feels like that would be the first and most dramatic difference. Battery doesn't look light. Why is it still in the nose of the car? The rear part of the cage doesn't look like something that would pass any race series rules - doesn't go to the floor. Its neither street car or real race car.. Fun toy, but track days are not racing - feels weird to spend all that money on a car you can't race or fully utilize on the street.

I would say maximum 25k spent on that car... not 70 that's for sure, you could get to that amount of money if every single mod was the BEST of the market like best ap racing brakes, best suspension on the market etc etc...

All the weight savings gone with the roll cage in there prob weighs more than a stock Golf R
No way, the roll cage probably weights as much as the rear seats.
Stephen Peacock no chance it’s a full steel cage they’re heavy, even a half cage weighs a lot
Total Focus think the rear seats are about 40kg and front replacement saving might be 20kg, stripped out interior maybe 20kg, that’s 80kg.Usually a full roll is about 40 to 50 kg, but agree that cage could be a bit more, but I’d be surprised if it’s over 80kg.

Did you even watch it? It was a development car by a car company and used for endurance races. The custom one-off titanium exhaust would have cost a fortune. Car actually cost the bloke £27k to buy used.
