That's not rolling launch, that's just the gearbox kicking down. As someone who tunes the EA888 there is no rolling launch options at all on the dsg boxes. For rolling launch it would require building boost thats flooring the throttle and pressing the button at the bottom of throttle to get it to kick down into gear. Lovely example of a golf r tho not me being a asshole at all with what I put above but don't want people messaging MRC saying can I get rolling launch when its not a think on any S3 8V or MK7 or MK7.5
Agreed, mine does that but only in S mode - I’ve had it to VW as I always thought there was a fault due to the hesitation but apparently it’s just the characteristics of the gearbox?

Gli with upgraded turbo not awd but they have decent power for a sedan and is also fun to drive.

Has the gearbox been mapped? That rolling launch didn't sound healthy for the engine. Sounded like he dropped a gear by mistake at first untill he explained.
he’s been to the best mappers in the country they wont map an engine without doing the gearbox lol.
Ive got the golf r too but i dont rate the sound of this. Loud isnt necessarily better and especially in a 2.0L 4 cylinder
If I got one I'd want it to sound quiet... 2.0T 4s sounds so boring to me. But I bet I would enjoy the power.

thankful to NOT see carbon fiber replaced body parts... hate when they do that thinking the car is now a Pagani Zonda... it just looks awful, and from afar, like it had an accident and someone slapped another car's piece on it.

Yup 15% tint just got hit with a £100 fine by a lovely copper. Apparently they can fine you £200 front and back but it’s up to their discretion...

I dont think thats rolling launch. It seems like he just hit the kicksdown switch. Normally rolling launch requires you to set a speed or hold a button down and it looks like he just mashes the pedal down

Much much safer for the seat to be all the way back. believe it or not. In a crash if the seat is more forward you run the risk of the front of the car and dash crushing your knees in and legs. Cases of paraplegics because mostly women drive with the seats all the way forward and then crash

Whats the difference between a normal stage 2?
I know on the Mk6 it was for the HPFP upgrade which gave you loads more midrange torque.
Intercooler - that's it on a 'plus'.
Really it's just stage 2 - but in recent years people have decided that if you upgraded the intercooler then it's now a stage 2+.
All stage 2's should have intercooler upgrade, but since that's expensive a lot of people have had a detuned stage 2 map to account for the stock intercooler.
407 bhp - on a happy dyno. Most dyno's nowadays are 'happy' - i.e give you a somewhat inflated crank hp figure to keep the customer happy.
It won't be far out tho, probably around 390bhp on an accurate dyno such as the surrey rolling road.
