If you do any delivery or bunker missions, loot all the multitools that you find. Many of them have the SRT attachment and the can, which you can then pull out into inventory. I have more of these things than I'll ever use.
Plus, the value of this hand salvaging is not worth the time invested, in my opinion. Not to say that it'll not be worth doing in the future, when the repair functionality is implemented. But as a way of making credits right now, there are many more lucrative ways.

Sheesh all of that work for under 20k! The amount of brainpower used for that workload was magnitudes more than mining or regular Vulture+ salvaging, a poor player would be better off just running package delivery missions and keeping their sanity 🥴
agreed the inventory system needs a LOT of love. speaking of which does anyone know of a way to stack all like items automatically? having to drag them all into a pile one by one is annoying
Hand mining can be iffy. As in IF you find a good place to mine. IF you don't blow yourself up. ROC mining is better, with a bit of practice you can be making 200K per hour easily from ROC mining. You MIGHT be able to sell multiple cans at once if you stack them in your backpack or inventory.
Hmm, think in the time it took you to stare at that 600i panel for an hour you could have run about 4-5 bunkers and be fairly ok for money. Hand salvaging obviously isn't good for new players, unless you hate deliveries and can't shoot straight, so adds almost nothing in the form of early money making.
I cant make a dime. Since 3.19 I cant use the multi tool at all. Loading it up, setting up the correct accesory works well.. but I simply cant point and SHOOT at anything, either mining, cutting, dettaching or tractor beaming...
I think the issue where you had to sell each individually is becuase you had them all in single stacks. Are you not able to stack all of them together into a single stack of 10 or something?
TL;DR = 189 UEC per can. 30 minutes of mining 10 cans is 1,890 UEC. Get a ROC go mine hadanite, you’ll make a lot more. Wait till the ship is available to buy with in game money or buy it with real money if you’re impatient.
@@expressmangaming650 I was thinking that having this stuff "on hand" would be more viable and worth the time to collect some bottles of the stuff. Question I have though is the repair mechanic in the game yet or is that a 3.19 thing? If the latter, then it would seem this will be pointless to do until 3.19 because of the planned wipe at release of 3.19. Thoughts?
also you said 18 thousand... by my math it was 188 per can, not 18,800 per can... did I miss something? by my math, 25,000 SCU giving you 189 per can means the value is actually 0.00756 which explains why they say 25000 uSCU per can, that means its a decimal of a single SCU to make the value of it be .025 SCU making the value per .001 of SCU be 7.56k aUEC. That way they don't have to give you a 0.00 value for a full SCU which you basically get peanuts for each can. This is really not a very good replacement for hand mining in any way. The value per SCU is garbage compared to hand mining, and its far too simple to salvage compared to mining.
ya, whether on uex or in a vulture, a full load is 92k... i didnt expect much... so go get a vulture and never hand salvage again... how the hell did you even get in to record, i only get black screen on clicking enter universe:/

Doing it manually is it also possible to level up the salvage missions?
i can right click and equip all or swap on the empty ones and it fills
The fastest way to do it is to just space all of it and go do a bunker instead... XD
if you scan those pieces each will say it is 100 tons
thanks for trying this, so i don't have to!
Whats the song at 17:01 called? 🙂
this definately isnt on the PTU, salvage is gone from PTU servers and only spawns in the belt at a low rate now
25:43 - micro SCU, not mili as in milionths rather than thousndths
cSCU is centi SCU - hundredth
Thank you. It is well, well established I struggle with the maths.
still no way to sell theses faster ?
TL;DR = 189 UEC per can. 30 minutes of mining 10 cans is 1,890 UEC. Get a ROC go mine hadanite, you’ll make a lot more. Wait till the ship is available to buy with in game money or buy it with real money if you’re impatient.
Yeah didn't expect it to be a good payout! Was just curious. Any machine will improve things dramatically.
The value per SCU is garbage compared to hand mining, and its far too simple to salvage compared to mining.
now i know thanks
LOL, it's not about 'how much you can make' it's about THE QUALITY OF THE MONEY-MAKING EXPERIENCE, surely?
FUN AND ENGAGING!
Selling thos canisters takes longer than to fill them up ...
ya, whether on uex or in a vulture, a full load is 92k... i didnt expect much... so go get a vulture and never hand salvage again... how the hell did you even get in to record, i only get black screen on clicking enter universe:/
is it just me or is eva, especially in structures and ships, not nearly as good as it used to be? I can remember floating through the colvex station years ago and being blown away by how smooth and intuitive it was. now it's a puke/clip through walls/die from the slightest bump fest
Ah so it wasn't broken I was just badly informed... I see, cans. Thanks.
edit: 18K... for an hour... yikes that's bad. Worth it for repairs though.
what is even the point of using a hand tool? I feel like at most this is for ground vehicles but even then it feels very silly.
Thanks for the lessen & ounce again SC fails on practicality on just about everything including common since features
Lol i was about to start hand salvage. After this video hell no lmao
Wow hand salvaging looks very tedious.
So in conclusion. Is it a viable option to make money. In short no.
In long
