    i like that these meals are realistic and dont involve a lot of thought. a lot of people struggle eating nutritiously for various reasons but if given the opportunity to do so, it really can be as easy as roasted vegetables and rice.

      Hey! I so don't really recommend cycle-syncing nutrition (I find that it overcomplicates things, and there is really no evidence to support it), but I can definitely talk more about how to address period pain/ PMS!! I know it is such an important topic that a lot of women struggle with! 💚

    Hi Claire. I am new here and I love your style ❤ one question 😊 if you cook Sauerkraut, does it have still the same benefits?

    • @drclairelockridgend
      @drclairelockridgend  3 месяца назад

      Hello and welcome! We are so excited to have you here!
      So when you cook Sauerkraut, especially at high temperatures or for a long time, you can destroy some of the beneficial probiotics in it (due to heat sensitivity). With that being said, you are still getting the increased digestibility that comes from fermenting, and you are still getting the fibres from the cabbage! So I would say if you wanted to, you can cook it, but you also have sources of raw fermented food in your diet!
      Hope that helps 💚

    After watching a few of your videos ( I'm a newbie to your channel) I noticed that you don't eat much if any dairy or bread. Is there a reason for that or have I not watched enough videos yet to see you eating these foods. I like organic cottage cheese and organic Greek yogurt but don't eat them every day however as a post menopausal woman who doesn't take osteoporosis drugs I feel I need extra calcium to try and keep my bones somewhat strong. I also eat organic cheese sometimes, almond milk daily and lots of green vegies. I was also wondering about the Castor Oil application you spoke about in this video. How do you do it, how often and do you think it would be helpful for my IBS-C ? I am so desperate to find some real help with this problem . I eat plenty of fiber( sometimes this can make things worse by creating horrible gas and bloating ) and do not wish to rely on a drug to try and treat this. Thank you for posting your videos, I am finding inspiration and comfort from them. Have a good week. !!

    • @drclairelockridgend
      @drclairelockridgend  3 месяца назад

      Hey, I do eat bread and dairy, just not so much in my last few videos. Sometimes, I switch my eggs to Greek yogurt in the morning! I also eat a good amount of greens, sesame seeds, sardines, and soy, which are great sources of calcium!
      For the castor oil packs, I rub the oil on my stomach clockwise at night for about 10 minutes. It can help with constipation and digestive concerns. I will usually do this a few times a week or just when I feel I need the support!
      Hope that helps 💚 have an amazing week!
