WiFit Trainer knows what her moves can do, which is why she used one with long I frames to try and wait out the beam. Also, I think Paulatina used her reflect ability but the beam was having none of that bullshit.

I love how they do dlc. They don't start it until the game is finished, which is how it should be. Most games announce dlc, what it includes, and shows footage from it basically saying we want more money. The only dlc nintendo has been working on was the piranha plant and it's free if you buy the game and register it before January 31st.

Once it reaches top speed it literally teleports which you'll notice that Kirby vanishes right before the beam of light hits him. Kirby is regarded as one of the best star warriors to be able to pilot warp stars but he is bad at landing them which they also show. Kirby is the most powerful character in Nintendo universe.

Smash is a game i will NOT be upset about having a pre-release DLC pass. They expand the roster even more. It's not a secret that some of the devs are burnt of for smash. But Smash is a game franchise with the hearts of many attached to it. But with the Switch being such a satisfying console, we probably won't see another new console for years. That being said, this game could end up like League Of Legends or Brawlhalla with an infinitely expanding roster.
The best part about the DLC deal was they were just supporting the idea and they hadn't actually had any of it figured out yet, *as it should be.* They're basically saying "look forward to what we're gonna cook up next" instead of "get ready for all this stuff we have already set up in the back".
Yea, I hate when people plan DLC beforehand. But this game is exempted because after all the efforts they made, I really expect it to be a final game hence Ultimate.

This isn't a case where the game is half finished and the best parts are behind a paywall, this is a *whole* game, with a few small things coming down the line. The sheer amount of content already in this game, makes the DLC acceptable. There are so many characters, items, stages, songs, and various other details within this game that even without DLC, nobody could remotely argue that this game is going to be incomplete on launch *cough MVCI cough.*
One of the top reasons I love this game is because this is a game that poses questions like "who will win in a fight between a goddess of light and a potted plant?"
Funniest thing to think about: Piranha Plant/Petey Piranha has done everything Waluigi has, been a Go Karter, Tennis Player, DDR Dancer.... The only major differences: Piranha is older... And has made more appearances in WarioWare.

I totally didn’t even realize it at first, but Sakurai did a real deep reference with Wii Fit trainer during the final video. Sakurai actually knew about the invincibility frames with her tree maneuver and made her character attempt to do that. Talk about a niche reference. VF1 Akira, you can tell Sakurai had Jokes with the presentation. Not only did they use Zero Suit Samus because she’s the closest lookalike to Sarah Bryant, but then he fights Wolf just because he had to pun the name of one of the original VF contestants, who happens to be named Wolf.
I look back at this and smile. Piranha was a weirdo character, but also a minion character. Not with a capital M, but rather a goon or low-ranking enemy joining the roster. Sure, we got the big guys like Bowser, Ganondorf, Dedede, K. Rool, but what about the love for the lesser enemies? With this, that group finally got a rep.

Smash is a game i will NOT be upset about having a pre-release DLC pass. They expand the roster even more. It's not a secret that some of the devs are burnt of for smash.
But Smash is a game franchise with the hearts of many attached to it. But with the Switch being such a satisfying console, we probably won't see another new console for years.
That being said, this game could end up like League Of Legends or Brawlhalla with an infinitely expanding roster.
The best part about the DLC deal was they were just supporting the idea and they hadn't actually had any of it figured out yet, *as it should be.*
They're basically saying "look forward to what we're gonna cook up next" instead of "get ready for all this stuff we have already set up in the back".
Yea, I hate when people plan DLC beforehand. But this game is exempted because after all the efforts they made, I really expect it to be a final game hence Ultimate.

Alveldir S. - How about you give Nintendo some slack here? They're not like most game companies that decided to screw over their customers one way or another. They've always been considerate and know that fun games are more priority then looking good or getting money. That's always on the back burner and it's a big reason why I support them. They actually care about us.
I love how smash made a 5 character and stage set for $25 but MKX has a 4 character set for $30. Good job Nintendo

This isn't a case where the game is half finished and the best parts are behind a paywall, this is a *whole* game, with a few small things coming down the line. The sheer amount of content already in this game, makes the DLC acceptable. There are so many characters, items, stages, songs, and various other details within this game that even without DLC, nobody could remotely argue that this game is going to be incomplete on launch *cough MVCI cough.*

Funniest thing to think about: Piranha Plant/Petey Piranha has done everything Waluigi has, been a Go Karter, Tennis Player, DDR Dancer.... The only major differences: Piranha is older... And has made more appearances in WarioWare.

And to reiterate: We have a plant in Smash. Best choice they could've made.
Day one DLC is what people get pissed about. Nintendo are prioritising finishing the main game first.
I totally didn’t even realize it at first, but Sakurai did a real deep reference with Wii Fit trainer during the final video. Sakurai actually knew about the invincibility frames with her tree maneuver and made her character attempt to do that. Talk about a niche reference.
VF1 Akira, you can tell Sakurai had Jokes with the presentation. Not only did they use Zero Suit Samus because she’s the closest lookalike to Sarah Bryant, but then he fights Wolf just because he had to pun the name of one of the original VF contestants, who happens to be named Wolf.
Character + Stage + BGM should be the standard for all fighting games, regardless whether it's in the launch roster or in a Season Pass.
That plus I would like character's rival themes like how we have Under-night and BlazBlue have themes dedicated to two characters fighting each other.

I look back at this and smile. Piranha was a weirdo character, but also a minion character. Not with a capital M, but rather a goon or low-ranking enemy joining the roster. Sure, we got the big guys like Bowser, Ganondorf, Dedede, K. Rool, but what about the love for the lesser enemies? With this, that group finally got a rep.
