we came along way from "It's so weird having Joker in Smash. His game isn't even on a nintendo system" to "Halo, Dante, Sora, Monster Hunter for Smash or we Riot"
and we got sora
As a fan of Persona series I loved every second of the video. The effort that Sakurai and the team put in making Joker is amazing. I'm truly hyped for playing as him. The (great) music added from Persona series and his stage are amazing too, I never expected to see a Persona character in Smash a few months ago but it is totally deserved. Joker seems truly unique and fun to play and his moveset looks promising.
I'm very grateful to Sakurai and the development team!
Couldn't have said it better myself I feel the exact same way about everything. I truly never felt so excited for a game before even a chhlaracter no less

Welp, except I wanted 'Life Will Change' and 'Whims of Fate' to be included in the soundtrack, but with all the effort they made and the love in the details that we saw, I can't complain. :P
Dude...the amount of love that went into this character, with the stage referencing P3 and 4, remixing Jokers theme, giving him the all out attack...hes the best character ever.
Yeah. My only complaint is, that Life will change isn't a music option.
I wish they added" break in to break out " to the soundtrack. Other then that great DLC

Too bad Final Fantasy was too stingy to lend more of their songs. At this point, Smash is an entire compendium of iconic gaming history and it sucks that iconic FF songs like One Winged Angel is not on it.

Clearly Joker modeled his gun skills after a video game, I'm not joking, he actually does gain his gun skills from a social link involving playing a game, only difference is that it was a gun game

It's crazy; I've seen the transition from All Out Attack to the victory screen hundreds of times but it still looks absolutely amazing. Especially in Smash form.

Looking back it's crazy we did actually get P5 for Switch after 4 years.
Actually Joker being in Smash does make some sense because Sakurai himself went on record saying that much of Smash Ultimate's design was heavily influenced by Persona 5. While I know Nintendo themselves chose the characters to begin with, I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai had influenced Nintendo to make a push for him to be in the game in the first place.
Plus, let's not forget about the 25th, there's still that chance that Persona 5S is a Switch release.

K Cuse you act as if it’s easy to get characters from multiple third party companies. Like Sakurai spent a kong ass time trying to everyone from the previous games back as well.

@@MDErik_ true. licensing is a big issue and of course what would these 3rd party companies would benefit from it besides promoting their character. Brand awareness and hopefully more gamers would buy their IPs. and $$$. Not a big task since it needs approval from those CEOs and funding from Big N top executives as well. Glad Sakurai is able to pull it off. And of course, us gamers, wanted all characters to be in Smash. The fighting game for everyone. :)

I had fun playing around with the video feature of FF Dissidia 012. It's great that Smash is doing this too!
Honestly it just sounds like another way for nintendo to try an corral creators and prevent them from making money on the platforms of their choosing, but maybe that's just the cynic in me.
Alicia Fraser Doesn't sound that cynic. At this point one can assume Nintendo wants those creators to make games exclusively for Switch.

The level editor and a set up for everyone to drop their own levels in is dope. You give people a sandbox to fiddel with when there is already a player base, and things take care of themselves.
Holy shit. I glanced at the thumbnail, didn’t realize it was the old Joker upload, and legit thought that they announced Seito Kaiba and BEWD for Smash
Persona 3, 4, and 5 are some of the best JRPGs ever made.
The stage turning blue was it turning into Persona 3, yellow for Persona 4.
The music is always good so its almost worth playing the games just for that!

I'm just more surprised that they are letting you guard with a persona, since in p4 arena/Arena ultimax you actually lose your abilities for a bit if your persona is hit lol
@@Nightxx9199 maybe because they aren't persona-users, in ultimax everyone have a persona or the power to fight one, but since we have a bunch of weeabos with some sacred sword I think that rule can go to hell
@@angelodavidmarabolivarela9505 Actually, everyone in Ultimax is a user, each character is the cast from p3 and 4, minus the red haired kid and Labras which is a arena exclusive character, Junpei, Aigis, Mitsuru, Ken and Korumaru, Yukari and Akihiko is from persona 3 and the others is from 4

Piraña Plant was released on february, so one fighter every two months, the next one will probably be out on E3 and they will reveal the next one there.

The love that was shown for Persona and MegaTen as a whole is beautiful. The sound effect for when you Tetrakarn or Makarakarn something is the same one from when you reflect something in the Devil Survivor games. I have no experience with P5 but I would try out Joker if I had this game, if for no other reason than to fight with "I'll Face Myself" playing in the background.

This is what I love about smash. Sakurai puts so much love and attention into the character designs. I don’t think any character shows this as much as joker has.
