Great instructional video , only problem I have is that with the battery is in the back of the vehicle , along with the engine , the battery cable is way too short to reach the battery , do I extend the cable or do I locate a place under the dash that has constant power and connect to that point ?
Do you have to worry about how much power the light bar draws from your battery? I have a 700w light bar with a stock alternator, just worried the light bar will kill my battery faster than the alternator can charge it
demonllama95 a relay does not have anything to do with power consumption... To be clear: A relay is so that you arnt piggybacking off of another closed circuit. If the factory designed there to be two headlights and two taillights on one circuit then putting a 700 watt light bar on it might overload that circuit system.. That however is NOT what he is talking about. With car electrical systems
@@chanelhart1239 Keep in mind that a relay is basically just a switch to open or close the circuit. They are used so you dont have to run thick power cables back and forth from source to a switch on the dash and back etc. You connect the thick power cable to relay in engine bay and then much smaller trigger cables to and from the switch on the dash. Those trigger wires only send the signal to relay to open or close the circuit (hence turning off or on). You can also have the relays programmed to pulse, just just your blinkers do. The stalk on steering column are the small trigger wires that activate the blinking relay which is connected to the lights...

Can I wire the LED bar as a standalone without hooking it on to a jeep. Say as an indoor light source? My intent is to use it as a DIY photography lighting. It looks much powerful than T8 tube lights but maybe that's just me.
What kind of wiring system did you install? I bought an 1080 Watt at 108000 lumens led bar but i do not have any documentation about wiring, fuses, relays, switchers, etc.. I do not have any idea what kind of cable/fuses/relays to use.. can you help me please?
Hey Israel, Thanks for your question. Check with your local state laws to clarify this. Most states in Australia require light bars only to be activated when the high beams are switched on. That way you only have one switch to turn off both high beams and light bar at the same time. - Ash
As super jeep auto says check your country laws i wired two light bars up to battery relays and switch all correctly.but jeep failed mot because they were not wired through head light circuit..i presented my case that i only use the light bars off road and would not use head lights as the bars combind gave me 400watts and 24000 lumens at 5k white light making head lights look like candle so use them on low 1beams so when i turn them off i have low beams but they said no way fail. So since my last comment ha e head light adaptor harness removed and replaced bumper mounted light bar for two smaller 74 watt 7,200 lumen 5k bright white combo spot and floods through my head lights which i will use on and off road sod them mot ppl. And magnet mount the roof bar when i need it with to battery etc harness in place when i want the bigger light. In short check your country laws or make sure you can remove lights when car is mot or nct depending on your country..
Hi Paulandloz1, Our harness is designed for the H4 globe found in a lot of cars, if you have something different, you'll need to splice (wire tap connector) into the headlight high beam wires and adapt the wiring harness to suit or if you're not sure, I'd recommend for you to contact your local auto electrician about it. I hope this helps.
If your mower has lights already splice the light bar wires into the wires for the headlights on the mower and just put the harness in your shed or something as you wont be using it at all.
Hi Errol, Possibly but generally cigarette wiring is fused at 10 amps and has thin wires to suit up to 10 amps. I'd recommend wiring it separately with a fuse.
I bought the enduralight harness for my vz commodore to hook up angel fog lights followed step by step and the switch didn't light up like in this video and fog lights didn't turn on going back tomorrow for refund nothappyjan
my new light bar works on high beam but not on low beam good,,,,,BUT it comes on when sidelights it on also when no light are on, unless light bar switch is turned off very confusing I have a 2013 suzuki jimny
Hi William, Thanks for your questions. Yes, a rocker switch can be used in it's place. This kit is designed for positive earthed vehicles only, Negatively earthed vehicles require modifying the piggy back adaptors. Discuss with your local automotive electrician to do this for you if you’re not sure how to do this. - Ash
Hi Danny, could be a number of different issues, are you able to email us all your details of your car etc to reece.moger@superretailgroup.com, we'll pass it on to our tech team to look into. Thanks Reece
Which country are you in..did you get your light bar working two years on ?....... dont bother answering i got my headlight adaptor kit and now have my light bars wirking through high beams..
the master switches on these are fucking junk had 3 all junk 1 fell apart other two stop working also "led light bars" are not legal for on road use off road only, so hooking it up to the high beam wire is not a got idea
After hours and over 10 videos trying to get my spotlights installed, I come across this video and bam! thanks a thousand times
Love how you made this video as basic as possible. 😁
Glad you liked it!

Hi SCA,
Is the fuse housing water proof? and how long is the harness in total?
good vid superceap
Thank you!

that's why you need a relay it will stop the problem of draining your batteries power

So what is the switch for if the lights are connected to the hi beams?
so you can have the highbeams on without the lightbar being on

Can I connect it with low beam
Hey just wondering will this harness turn on light bar even if it is not connected the high beam circuit?
What if the connection behind the head doesn't match what comes with the wiring harness ?
How else do you hook up to the high beam ?

How do you hook up on a Kia Sportage with a single projector light.
Will the harness work on a 1993 toyota hilux?

How do you wire light to harness? Red to red or black? And using the supplied insert rings??
Yep red to red, black to black
The red light on the button is always on or only when the ignition on? Thanks!
It had a light receptor in the switch that can be preset,to you specs, at any parts dealers hat has a napquan light bar programmer.
Go the Pajero!!
why do we have to connect to the high beam?
You don't have to connect to the high beam. You can have it on a separate switch. But most people prefer it connected to the high beam for ease of use
Do you have link wherei can buy this harness?
shao rocky still I can't find the actual item, send me a direct link pls, I don'twant to get the wrong item.. Thanks

Can you just skip the switch in the cab and have it run on the normal high-beam switch instead?
yes but its illegal to drive on the road with a light bar turned on
For legality issues in AUS/NZ you need to have the switch mounted inside the cab. Thanks

double sided tape probably
Yep! Double sided tape - easy as!

It's not as simple as it looks depending on what vehicle you have the fittings will not fit all vehicles get a auto electrician and be safe.
fit on any car? xh ute
Hi Matthew Moodley, the harness is universal and should fit on any car.
Thanks, Reece :)

A stick on switch in a 4x4? 🤔 😅
Can you show me the wiring diagram sir?
ken neth they have a wiring diagram on the website that you purchase it thru.. it’s in the video description
Lol drilling a hole in the body just to mount the relay?! Insanity.
You dont even need to mount the relay.

All of this just to connect a light bar. All of those wires you don't need. You don't even need a relay.
