Thanks, my first go at fitting a lightbar and harness, this video made it a breeze. The plug n play harness from Kings certainly made life easy as well.
For those with older cars or cars that have a H9 high beam it's not plug play you will need to go buy a piggy back adaptor to suit the kings plug But 10/10 for the video good clear easy to follow instructions
Hi Alan, Thank you for the comments, you're absolutely correct, the H4 / HB3 plugset will fit a reasonable range of vehicles, however with so many manufacturers all working hard to have their own socket there's no "one-size-fits-all" these days. Regards, Andrew
Got the number plate light bar for my Toyota 86, looks great and goes really well. One tip to keep in mind is the supplied connectors didn't fit my sealed LED units, so an easy fix was to use a 2 into 1 fuse holder and replaced the high beam fuse in the engine bay and ran the high beam wire from that, works great.
@@samuelbradfield800 G'day Sam, I take it the LED headlights have removable globes? If yes, you can tap into the highbeam line, also it would be prudent to check that the earths are good and there are no loose connectors.
Get another plug and play harness and plug into the other headlight, So you have seperate harness and switches for spots and light bar, but they will all go on and off with high beam,

Yes. From the cable connected to the relay (either 14V DC or 24V DC as shown in the video) connect the cable which connects to an adapter (via a white t-shaped connection) to one of your headlights. I had this problem the other night, and as luck would have it I and nowhere to pull over and fix it. Had to just cut the negative wire near the lights. I'm considering adding a switch so that I can isolate the power to the wire that goes to the battery terminal. I need to research more and talk to experts to see if that's a viable fix. It's true that you do get what you pay for.

@@4wdsupacentreAu Can you explain the switch wiring again. I thought I had it right but it's not working so far. Are the blue and black wires on the left and right top terminals of the rocker switch and the white wire is on the bottom side and switched on and off as you operate the rocker switch?
Do sell a harness for the h9 bulb
Hi there I've got the old LED 9 inch with the blue ring around them you've got like the black ones dad got some with the seven in and he likes them Eden have LED spotlights on ID spotlights on the ute and a lot better now
will these fit on a 2022 bt50?
cant find a way to adapt to Rav4/ prado 22x22 dash switch size. Help please.
I’ve followed this video exactly and its not working. I have a BK Mazda 3 (2008). There is power at all the switch won’t light up
Do I have to connect it to my headlight?
Yes. From the cable connected to the relay (either 14V DC or 24V DC as shown in the video) connect the cable which connects to an adapter (via a white t-shaped connection) to one of your headlights. Connect the other wire from the harness to your bar/spottiies. Feed the last wire through the engine firewall and install your switch on the dash reconnecting the wire clips as they came in the pack.
Mine come on at low beam and turn off on high beam?
I have a px2 Ranger. The headlight plug is 8 pins. Do you have a piggy back plug for the PX2?
Hi Andy,
Unfortunately we do not sell any piggy back plugs.
Thanks, Talia
Same issue did you find an adapter ? Old mate in the video has a ranger but it doesn't work with mine 😂
I’m confused as to how I get rid of all that access wire from the splitter for spotlights
Thanks for the video, it is very helpful.
Anyone else can’t take unplug the cables out of the switch? No matter how much I wiggle it won’t come off
Hi there,
Thank you for contacting us. Could you please contact us directly on social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with a video of the fault and your order number so we can look into this further for you?
Kind regards, Rachael
How do u run the relay for 24v
The harness does NOT work on a Toyota 2000 Corolla OR a 2011 Hilux.
I can NOT leave the spotlight switch turned on when I turn off my headlights without the spotlights then coming on by themselves.
I do have the switched spotlight wire coming directly off the high beam wire.
U might have a crossed wire somewhere?!
Hey guys. I installed my Shotlights and lightbar in my car. Everything runs fine when the car is in accessory mode. When I turn my car on and turn my spotlights on, they won't turn off when the hi beams are turned off. My light bar turns off. Any idea on how to stop the spotlights from having constant power and turn off when I turn my hi beams off.
Thanks in advance.
my does this too
how did you get the light bar and spotties to turn on together? did you have to solder extra wires into it
@@r3maker224 I ended up taking it to a mechanic to fix. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. Not sure what he did
I had this problem the other night, and as luck would have it I and nowhere to pull over and fix it. Had to just cut the negative wire near the lights. I'm considering adding a switch so that I can isolate the power to the wire that goes to the battery terminal. I need to research more and talk to experts to see if that's a viable fix. The alternative is to sell them, buy another brand and refuse to buy another Kings product ever again. I've bought a few Kings items and quickly discovering why they're cheap. It's true that you do get what you pay for.
@@coover65I fixed with with a new wiring harness. still a pain
Can you mount the relay on it's side?
Not recommended as water can get into it easier but possible.
The forked terminals don’t fit my car’s battery terminals. As in the battery terminals/connections are too big for the terminals to ‘slot’ around. I drive a Subaru Forester. Can anyone help with this problem????
I bought a King’s 15” led light bar.
You shouldn’t be putting them around the battery terminals just on the bolts of wiring that already connects to the battery
@@TomHoops04 yeah i managed to figure it out already. But thanks for the tip anyway!
might have to get me some!
Mate, why do you use inches for measurements? We use metric haha.
Hi there,
Thank you for the question, this would be due to most vehicle components still using imperial measurements as a standard from bolts to wires and every part in between.
Regards, Andrew
Hey any ideas how do i use this on my h1 globe. ?? For my vz Commodore
You need to get a separate adaptor from an Auto store for H1 connection.
What happens if I don’t have h4 or hb3 headlights ?
Having trouble with my light bar only coming on with low beam, and then turning off when I've got highbeams
Hey, could you please PM us via FB for further assistance. Thanks, Madi
hey mate i’ve got the same problem just installed it today did u figure out what it was?
@@jessejohansson2806 I’m assuming you’ve wired it into your low beams rather than the high beam plug.
So witch one is high beam and witch one is low beam plug the harness is plug and play im confusing as i have same problem
Great video all round.
Glad you enjoyed it mate, cheers Brenno
Too bad the harness only suits "the most common" lights. The connectors don't work for our Isuzu MU-X
Hi there,
We advertise our wiring harnesses to come with H4 & HB3 headlight adapters which are the most universal fit for most vehicles. You may need to check your vehicles user manual if you require different adapters to wire the lights.
Regards, Courtney
Cheers breno
Pretty easy when you skip the tricky bits.
