    When I installed the Harness on my Wrangler JK after market LED headlights, the high beam on the side connected with Piggy Back adapter is not working properly (lost power) and the Light Bar is also not working. Anyone knows what the issue is? Is it ok to connect the Relay to an existing ground connection or does need to be fixed at a separate position by itself?

    • @stedi_lighting

      The high beam trigger can be bypassed depending on purpose. For Australian ADR, if it's a forward-facing light, legally needs to be high beam activated.

    Am I right in thinking the rocker switch effectively arms the system. On/off of the lights is then controlled by switching high beam on the control stalk? There for turning rocker off allows high beam with no spotties? Do you ship to uk?

    • @xJoRDox96
      @xJoRDox96 4 года назад +1

      You are correct, yes. Rocker switch set to OFF position will allow you to run your headlights as per normal. Whereas if the rocker switch was set to ON, and you turned high beams on, then your lightbar/spotties will turn on with your high beams as well.

    Do you have to run the cable if you just plan on running it through high beams?

    • @stedi_lighting
      @stedi_lighting  Год назад +1

      Our or any other high beam adaptor won't be able to supply enough current to power any driving lights. A harness is required for operation of driving lights keeping in mind that local laws (at least here in Australia), require not only a high beam trigger but switch operation as well.

  • @benwhite9599
    @benwhite9599 4 года назад +1

    Is there a simple solution for not using the rocker switch but still having it hooked into the high beams? Will unplugging the switch do that?

    • @xJoRDox96
      @xJoRDox96 4 года назад

      You'd have to short the switch out I'd say, man. There would be an active, neutral and an earth cable that you would normally wire into the rocker switch. To get around that, you'd have to short the active and the earth together, so that the relay thinks that the 'switch' is always on.

    • @iConviicted
      @iConviicted 4 года назад +8

      you could also just leave the rocker switch in the on position inside the engine bay. i also dont really see the point of having both a switch and it being controlled by the highbeam switch.

      @@wheredwallygo you need to be connected to high beam somehow.
      The usual way is to tap the high beam wire at the headlight, use that to run to the spot switch, from the spot switch to the relay trigger, then relay earthto vehicle body.
      Run a larger wire from the battery positive to a fuse, to the power in on the relay, then from power out on the relay to the power wire on the spots.

      In Aus they must have a separate switch, however they must also be wired so they will only operate when high beam is on. Easiest way to do it is to tap a high beam wire to feed the spotlight switch which then triggers the relay and feeds the lights...both high beam and the spotty switch must be on for them to work.
