This might just be my favourite song. I love the message. 1 John 5:4 says this world is not our home, I pray we'll all sit down at His feet and all be blessed in Heaven and not be enslaved by the sin of the world .
I grew up with the gospel singing folks and thankful they spoke into my life and the lives of my children, although none of them profess to believe. I pray these songs will someday bring them home, just as they did me. Praise the Lord!

So many of the great Gospel singers in this video are with the Lord now. We miss them, but they are with the Lord, which the Apostle Paul said was better. So I shed a tear and rejoice with them that they are with Jesus.

This is a heavenly choir. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. They have already auditioned for Gods' angelic choir. Very inspirational!!!
Just wish I had had the opportunity to see J.D. in concert. He passed the week before the concert I had tickets to. What a witness.
I grew up with these songs. I dont hear them much anymore. Woke up with this song, and I knew i could find it on a Gaither video. What a blessing Gaither videos are. Thank you, Father God. You knew your people would need these and You anointed Bill and Gloria to do this project. Thank You, Father.

His words stir me deeply. His depth of feelings, love and sincerity moves me to tears. So many memories from my childhood fill my being when times were so much more simple than today. May God look down at this old world and bring up peace.

I met JD Sumner in 1960, when I was 13 years old at an All Night Gospel Sing at Municipal Auditorium in S Bend, Indiana. He had come to a soda shop before the concert to have a Bromo Seltzer. He gave me his autograph. He was a wonderful gospel singer/song writer.

I can feel the Holy Ghost's presence sitting right here in my home office from this song. There remains a special anointing right here in 2020. What a wonderful thought as the world is currently facing this viral pandemic. Praise the Lord Most High for that rest!

I am usually composed, and never tear up in front of my wife and 5&7 year olds, but this touches me deep especially seeing these men of God have already been promoted into glory and we are witnessing the legacy for God they have left behind.
What a time in the Church! (body of Christ) I was 6-7 when I first started hearing their songs late 80's the likes of the Cathedrals, George Younce, Glen Payne, JD Sumner and many more musical heroes of the faith. Didn't know their names til now, but heard their songs from my parents.
JD Sumner had to call Guy to finish the song Haven of Rest, understandably when you feel the depths of Gods love and eternal security through a song cuts you really deep as it does for me, I always tear up when I hear this song.
LOVE YOU ALL never met you before but we will all meet on the other side of the shore on that glorious day!

Am really encouraged so much when I see such old men worshipping their god in humility it inspires me a lot that surely there's heaven for rest so brothers I just want to urge you all that we may strive to worship him in truth and in spirit that when it has said and done we may enter that heaven of rest.
That guy on the piano with Sweet Hour Of Prayer medley is great. He just adjusted to the change of hymn and key. I know of instrumentalists who will just get up and walk away.
