These are a sweet ride. Speed isn't an issue, unless your riding in a big open field or something all the time, if so Polaris is the only way to go. Nothing will come close to Polaris for sport riding. But for trail riding and exploring fire roads this or the Kawasaki or even the pioneer would be great, tough decision.
Looks nice, and knowing Yamaha I would imagine it is well engineered and overbuilt. Doesn't have any attention grabbing performance specs. Looking forward to the utvondemand comparison against the Honda p1k5 and the Kawasaki teryx 4.
johnnyhb89 calling for a shootout, nice. The Wolverine X4 is designed to work in tight spaces and is rated to pull a ton so it kind of makes sense to us that it doesn't go 75 miles per hour. Overall, it could be the best in class at what it is designed to do. Perhaps we should consider a shootout at some point. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice machine with lots to like about it. Too bad Yamaha refuses to let go of their speed limiter - that means a lot of RZR and Commander owners won't bother to switch over.
I'm 5'9 and short legs lol, I had plenty of room in the back. The Kawasaki does have much better room in back. The Pioneer seating did not impress me at all so I'm leaning toward the Yamaha. Polaris has some nice machines also but they are more expensive.
Gator Unleashed I have had a chance to sit in all three the Yamaha Wolverine X4 ,the pioneer and I own a Kawasaki Teryx 4 by far away the Teryx has the best rear seat legroom all passages comfortable all day!! what I would say the downfall to the Kawasaki Teryx 4 is it's noisy and a lot of heat comes off the engine in the summer it's great for the winter fall and spring but in the summer it's pretty hot and it could have a little better ride! Good luck with your choice and ride safe
I must be old because i am wondering why these videos all show the utv throwing dirt sliding around corners and bouncing over bumps. Slow down. Enjoy the ride and scenery.
Tim Engle keep in mind that the top speed is matched for the cars intended use, tight Terrain. The car seems like it should have no issue turning taller tires with a clutch kit. That will raise the cars top speed. We're not sure how fast the Pioneers top speed is, so you might not want to cover your Yamaha tattoo yet.
For the price I paid for my blue X4 with sun roof and windshield, I shouldn't have to drop another dime to get this thing past 51 MPH. It's not actually 51 MPH either, the speedo is off by 2 MPH, so it's actually only doing 49 MPH. Larger tires will only make the speedo accurate and get you maybe get you an actual 51 MPH with taller tires. A Polaris XP 900 and Can Am Commander Max 1000 will both do 60 MPH. Where I live there's absolutely no reason to have to trailer my X4, except now I'll be holding up other traffic unnecessarily as I make my way to the trailheads. Viking and Wolverine will both go faster as they only have a rev limiter, not a speed limiter. I LOVE my new X4 except for this really stupid limitation. Throw me a bone Yamaha, 55 MPH at least (real 55 MPH verified by GPS)?!!?
@@redcanyonoutdoorquest6220 It's an off road vehicle.not a race car.Seems like nobody cares how good of a off road the machine is ,just how fast can it go.
Stupid Yamaha, this could have been so much better. Needs truf mod, definitely more power, more top speed, more room for bigger tires. Not at interested, not much Interest in Yamaha these days. Looking like I'm gonna have to get a rzr 4 turbo, or maybe a pioneer 1000.
all the things you say it "needs" can be found on the Pioneer 1000....more power, turf mode, more speed and more room for bigger tires….oh, and a proper manly gear-on-gear freaking gearbox...
Once again, Yamaha is the best.
Nice job and review....
Still waiting for my blue X4 !
I’m getting anxious to get it !
The blue is our favorite color. Please let us know what you think of your new machine. Congrats!
Hello I'm here now too, now I am going to watch every video on this channel.

I'm very impressed with the machine, Pricing is great. One thing I don't like is engine braking I prefer to use my brakes.
Look like a very good Machine, and I;m impressed with the pricing.
wayne owen 3 year warranty too...compare that to Polaris...look it up, you’ll enjoy the laugh 😆
You can fit 28s on 14” rims and no rubbing.
Thanks for the info.

The best trail machine made........
no protection from unwanted predators???
Is there a bedliner with the seats forward? Did you guys source one?
Yamaha is the best! No room for arguments. 💪
Finally got a chance to see one of these in person beautiful machine but absolutely no room for your legs in the rear seats

I agree way to small in the back seats.get the T4 kawi
6:56 ummm awkward pause
I had decided early that I get one of these but I guess not. I must have turf mode.

Bout time for another video
Will Newby yes, it definitely is.
Still cheaping out with that dreadful always locked rear diff.
Waited for this?
I'll have to go with the Honda.
It's 51 mph. What the hell
Imagine a speed limiter in bear territory?
We're pretty sure this will outrun a bear.
Top speed in the 50 mph range? Looks like I will be covering my Yamaha tattoo when I buy a Honda.

I hit 67 mph with my Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe. Running 29" tires so it may be a little higher. That's just what the speedo says.
