Great video. Yamaha builds the most reliable vehicles in the industry and this is a solid offering from them. Sometimes Yamaha misses the performance mark but it looks like they have nailed everything on this model
I'm impressed. Yamaha needed something to compete with the 1000 commander and General, and it looks like they pulled it off. I'll be interested in watching trail riding reviews.
Nice addition to the family. Looking at the prices, way nicer than you get out of the general lineup, with standard features you won’t get out of a general.
I just one 2 days ago [06/18/21] This is a nice machine. Of course I live in the Sunshine State so we only get to ride in between rain storms lol. This is my first side be side so I can't compare it others but I can say my son that is in know on them tells me it's far beyond the ones he has been around. It will max out at 70 MPH I am guessing that's really good for one. Power wise it's a Beast on both low end and flat out skinning it back down the road. Again being in Florida we have far more mud holes than most so the 4 WD is nice and a must have. Being able to lock up all 4 wheels is not only nice it's a must here. I would tell all to get one but only having it for a few days would by just bragging rights as most want some time behind the wheel before pushing a product.
Fore sure. I can't believe how good they can keep a secret. There was basically zero information prior to the teaser videos! I'm excited for this machine as I'd be waiting for a 4 seater that was sportier than the X4....and from Yamaha.

The belts also come with a 10 yr warranty from Yamaha. The others don't.

Great review, Alex! I'm in the market for a SxS and found your review refreshing, in the sense that it wasn't presented by the usual suspects. Looking forward to more reviews from you and Casey.
Looks like Honda is going to have the put the Talon engine and longer travel suspension into the Pioneer to stay competitive with this new Yamaha in that area. Nice machine, this is what I've been waiting for to upgrade my sxs. Waiting for the real world tests.

And the Wolverine RMAX4 would be compared to the Honda Pioneer 1000-5 and the Kawasaki Teryx4 (even though the Teryx is seriously outdated). The Polaris General XP4 1000 as you said is much longer than the Wolverine, because they did it in a different layout. Where the others I have listed have no rear leg room and no bed, the General XP4 has rear legroom and a bed storage to boot, but it is also way longer than the Pioneer, Teryx, or Wolverine.
