Great review, the walk around is thorough. I’ve seen other reviews, and they don’t even mention the back seats. Also, the driving incorporates slow and fast driving, showing how the machine performs on different terrain. Lots of info being put out there. Well Done!

I just got mine 2 weeks ago, rocking the RMAX2 1000xtr, well worth the coin, a shredder of a ride with lots of multi functions with the bed, shocks & built in navi
@A killa 4 reala when I have to recover my friends stuck in the mud I use my TigerTail, really stuck I use my BubbaRope then possibly the winch. On my atv the battery isn’t strong enough for a full pull. By the time you winch back in I’m riding away. But it isn’t my job.

Glad to see new choices because I will NEVER buy another Polaris. I don't care how fast or whatever else they are. I've had 3 and never again. Honda , Kawasaki, Yamaha for me. I don't need fast in the Appalachian mountains, I need reliable and robust
Finally people are waking up. Moved to Canada in 2012 and instantly noticed they were poorly made. Everyone was buying 30k RZRs and i was laughing. Then i worked for Polaris in the shop. I have built engines, transmissions replaced diffs,clutches, powersteering modules, fuel senders, wheel bearings , stereos you name it. All destroyed junk . Meanwhile i bought a Yamaha grizzly and it lasted 5 years till i traded it for another Grizzly lol. Ill definitely get an RMax because i patiently stayed away from that Garbage.
@@gwood701 oh I knew they was junk 20 years ago. I decided to give them a chance in 2016 thinking maybe they changed. Nope same old thing. Brand new sportsman with a sloppy gearbox. It clanked and clunked all the time . I got rid of it before it failed . The 2 I had back in 99 and 2002 both died of gear box failure . 2016 was the same old sloppy made machine they had 20 years ago . So never again for me. I never had a Japanese machine with slop in the drivetrain before nor did they clank and clunk all the time
@@mojoalan the Kawasaki Teryx 4 is likely what I will buy next. I don't give a damn how fast it is. They are a tank in the woods and rough mountain trails. They are built robust and solid. That's what matters to me. The 800 V Twin has more than enough power for me. Plus I crawl through the woods and up the trails in low range most the time anyway.
Yamaha build quality is top notch. This sxs will dominate I believe it’s quality all around with a reliable, powerful drivetrain. I want the 2 seater Rmax. I don’t have the room to store a 64” wide machine so I’ve been looking at the wolverine 850 R but someday I’d like to upgrade to this RMAX
Real nice unit. It’s great to see Yamaha stepping up in the side by side world. I kinda wish the 4 seater was longer and had a full bed though like the General and wish the doors were a little higher but overall I really like it.
Thank you so much for the input on both rides, I was torn from getting a 4 seater because of the usual limo tendencies. Been eyeballing the 2 seaters for a year now. This 4 seater is not the usual kinda ride, gonna go trade my ride in for a new whip!

Four seat for me is the way to go. Cant beat Yamaha. Been a long time Yamaha owner and they just last!! Can’t wait to have this addition. I just don’t know why all you reviewers don’t spend time showing off the adventure pro. Either it’s a half baked product which is junk and Yamaha knows it or what you did show is all it does which is sad. I’m hoping it does more. In Canada we do not get the LE model, just the XTR AND it doesn’t come with the adventure pro. To add it in, it’s a $2,000 RETAIL option which is CRAZY! For that money it better have some impressive features.
Wish they could’ve test drive the 4 seater with passengers. We want to know how it handles adding those few hundred extra lbs and maybe how the rear passengers are during those quick rides or slower rock crawls

I've test rode the regular Wolverine and thought it was really nice also, just wasn't too happy with the power of the 850, it seems like Yamaha really upgraded with the 1000cc in th rmax. The RMax is quit a bit higher in price for approximately only 30 more ponies. Much heavy for sure. And able to haul the same amount the X2 850 can haul. $8,000 difference in price. I'd love to have one but I'll keep my X2 and just upgrade my base model shocks and put bigger tires& wheels on it , and maybe even a sheeve job. I'll still have lots of money left over.

@@jasonlewis995 If you fit, that's already better than the Pioneer 1000-5 I sold. The rear seats in that thing were a joke. I thought that they wouldn't be that bad, but they weren't great for kids because the seat belts didn't adjust. They had no leg room for adults, and the 1.5 inch piece of foam was hardly comfortable for anything more than tooling around the farm.
@@DP-vd6bl I sat in the 100-5 and while the front was ok, the rear was a joke ! You'll be VERY VERY VERY happy with a wolverine. Either the X4 or the Rmax
Only thing I wish these manufacturers changed was the measly warranty coverage. We gonna be spending nearly 30k on almost any 4 seater SXS and except for the Teryx 4….. which has a 3 year warranty, they all I think only give you 6months on these… oh but the belt is good for 10 years, the cheapest thing to replace… so if you break something 20hrs in but it’s beyond the 6 months you r done. Many of us might ride just 5-6x a year at best.
Check out some of the Facebook pages. Many of us have 10,000+ miles with no repairs. I'm in a 19-4 seater. 3,900 miles of Hatfield McCoy, and Rush Off-road Park. I run high range 99.9% of the time. I'm on third set of brake pads. That's all. No bearings, no belts, etc.
the 4 seater is only a little bit longer than the 2 seater. if you had an 8-10' long trailer, you'd probably be fine. you can google the exact length and width specs though.
Straight up and down shifting is far better when having to bump into neutral or reverse from tipping back. Bring that rig to Florence Az will hook it up😂.
Im glad the Honda Talon is not getting bashed here. Little yamaha knows better not to mess with American Honda Motor Co Ltd. but this yamaha wolverine does look nicez

I was the largest Polaris dealer in the nation for a lot of years. I also was a Honda and Yamaha dealer . Yamaha was the most dependable brand . Honda was good and Polaris was not good . Polaris terminated my dealership for making a comment against BLM . Polaris is a sorry company
I just bought one of these and I can tell you this I was a Polaris guy for years but this machine blows the general out of the water probably the best machine I’ve ever owned
Scorpion EXO AT950. It's a modular design, with a chin bar that swings up and open...designed as a motorcycle helmet but works great ti this application.
You could get a rzr or x3 for the exact price and will give you better performance but for utility you can get a commander or general and have more space will do more than that so just saying and you get a reliable brand

@@dickfacepeterson curious why you said raped for repairs in all reality if you know how to drive a sxs in any terrain and have a basic mechanical understanding you should be able to fix anything that brakes I have owned a 2017 Polaris general since brand new I literally drove it off the showroom floor since then I have put on 5000 miles on it and the only thing that has needed “repaired” is brakes and oil changes and belts which I would consider a wear part and I have a group of people in total 30 plus machines with a mix of everything and I still have one of if not the most reliable machine, it has repeatedly started in -40 degree weather. I had a can am maverick before it and it was a good machine but every other ride I was wrenching on it. Do you have any experience with sxs or atv? If so what do you own?
Now they need to fix the YXZ. The front end look stupid and is terrible for muddy hill climbing. I’m so tired of waiting for Yamaha to get with the times.

I have a Kawi Teryx4 , same wheel base..6ft adult can comfortably ride in the back all day..the 1k motor would be nice..

And damn near 20 mph faster with the suspension to handle the speed. Totally differenct machines. Ones slow ones not
Apples to apples comparison is the General XP and the RMAX 1000 comes in considerably less. Either way, the X2 is phenomenal and a great choice, too!

My second video on this machine, none describe where the air intake is located. Also, I assume this rig is belt driven.
Belt drive and I believe Yamaha warranty is 10 yrs on belt

@@dickfacepeterson curious why you said raped for repairs in all reality if you know how to drive a sxs in any terrain and have a basic mechanical understanding you should be able to fix anything that brakes I have owned a 2017 Polaris general since brand new I literally drove it off the showroom floor since then I have put on 5000 miles on it and the only thing that has needed “repaired” is brakes and oil changes and belts which I would consider a wear part and I have a group of people in total 30 plus machines with a mix of everything and I still have one of if not the most reliable machine, it has repeatedly started in -40 degree weather. I had a can am maverick before it and it was a good machine but every other ride I was wrenching on it. Do you have any experience with sxs or atv? If so what do you own?
Polaris should only be worried if Yamaha brings the YXZ up to par. But they won’t, Japanese companies are always a decade behind.

It is Yamaha designed and built and they've improved on the 847 cc engine if you can believe that.

Now they need to fix the YXZ. The front end look stupid and is terrible for muddy hill climbing. I’m so tired of waiting for Yamaha to get with the times.
