Great job brother. Its always seems to me that the stipple never looks good until it’s completely done. Makes it hard in some cases to gauge how well it’s going. I feel like I’m ruining it halfway through but then at the end it’s kind of a relief
Agreed, the tape method for straight lines- so simple, so effective. Ive never liked the idea of undercutting the edge of the stippling, these poly frames will crak with time and cutting in reliefs just seem like a bad longevity idea. Tape... on man, you can just pull and retape till you get the right profile. Brilliant.
I suggest using a sanding block vs tiny wheel. Reduce grit as existing nubs eliminated. Amazing how simple this is, assuming one has patience and some talent! Thanks for video. Do you paint of coat in any way after done with mod?
@@tonyromano6220 no paint or coating. Just run it as is when done. Since I’m stippling it, doing a good sand where you plan to stipple isn’t necessary. I wasted a lot of time doing that the first time. Then watched the iron burn away my smooth surface and kinda had an epiphany.
@@adamnickelhey quick question. I’m by no means new to guns. But does this thin the polymer out for longevity? Like does it cause any weak points? Wanting to do this to my g20 but 10mm is a hot load and don’t want anything weakened
@@trey_yzf-r6699 I’ve done it to all three of my glocks. There are dozens of companies out there that do this. If you are doing this correctly, the texture is just on the outside and won’t cause weak points.
Looks great. Is there a reason you don’t stipple in the under cut? Have you tried it before? I am wondering if it’d be too rough on your finger or not.
It's wild that people actually buy Glocks instead of just making them. Out here paying extra to register a firearm. Guess the trigger and grip angle is worth it lol.
You know what, my Gen 3 35 is borderline slippery as hell. I think I’ll swing by HF, grab one of those wood burning kits and just go for it. When you said undercut it, did you mean where the grip meets the trigger guard, to get a better hand purchase? Thanks for posting!
@@jeffroW0331 lol. If I know anything about large government agencies, customizing firearms including stippling would be a violation of the UCMJ under damaging government property lol

Yeah, it’s a whole thing…
Looks good nice job brother!!
Never thought to use tape, thanks. Trying to summon up the courage to try gas pedals next.
I cut them on the 34, I didn’t on the 19, they don’t make a difference for me.
Same here.... it's kinda scary starting... but the feel is so much better!

Nice work brother! I want an HD outline on my EDC G19. I have talon tape on the other 3 G19's i have.
Right on, I never thought this video would get so many views. But yeah, this is a game changer.
Nice job.
I like the way it looks is it possible you can save the Glock logo?
Yeah you can just work around it. I don’t because it’s obviously a Glock

i hate anything with holes, gives me goosebumps
It's called trypophobia, our instincts to be wary of caves, hives and hole networks.
Very impressive, can you do my hairline tattoo?
I don’t have the time nor the attention span to tackle that job.
absolutely FILLED with dead skin
What tools do you need? I’m kinda STUPID. This looks clean as hell, man!
Just what you see in the video, a dremel and a soldering iron/hobby burner… that’s all you need.

How’d I do?

one thing i love about my MP 2.0
You can make it look a like a sponge if you run a torch across it
I like sandpaper
Looks great. Is there a reason you don’t stipple in the under cut? Have you tried it before? I am wondering if it’d be too rough on your finger or not.
I have a callous on my middle finger from it rubbing and it’s smooth, if it were stippled…. It would be an open wound and probably a staph infection….
At least you wore safety glasses.
lol was rocking the safety squints when I hit record. Yeah, would have been stupid to get something in my eye when they were on my hat lol.

Looks awesome, I’m getting the courage to do it on my Glock, is the sanding down essential or can I get the same results without doing that step?
It’s necessary to get the factory texture off and then you start with a smooth surface.
@@adamnickel thank you! And also thank you for the fast reply, didn’t expect that lol
Im gonna practice on some old A2 grip take offs. If i get decent with different styles ill play on some better stuff that i have replaced the A2s with
I practiced with a pmag. It’s similar plastic
You can also practice on the case your glock came in.

Not bad I just hate how uniform it is
What kind of burner is that? I’m about to stipple a blank 2011 grip instead of paying 300-500 bucks and waiting 3-16 weeks for one
Just a cheap one from harbor freight
what kind of the tapes you used?
Painters tape.
The fact that the military allowed him to film this
Free men don’t ask for permission
Under the UCMJ it is mandatory to stipple the Glock. You of all people should know this.

Approx how long did that take? Looks tedious but worth it
Whole process was 3 hours
Did you just use the tip that came on the burner?
Yeah just the standard tip
Whats the tool you used to stiple it ? not the drumel
Soldering iron/wood burner
u could keep the Glock logo in grip
Yeah I could have.
What dremel are you using??
An old one.
Which optic is that?
Holosun 509T
How many hours did this take?
It’s about a 2 hour project
How hot do you run the tool for stippling?
The one I have is cheap, it just has on and off. Hotter is better. Practice on a pmag or something similar.
