The Beauty of the Mother series is how the villains are always in conflict with themselves about duty vs true emotions, what they "should" be doing vs what they "actually feel."
Having a mask that Claus takes off is just the icing on the cake for that metaphor. It all comes back to the raw emotions they felt for their Mothers and those they actually cared about, like, the feelings of innocence in the care of one's mother vs the cold, unfeeling adult world.
I know there's like a 0% chance of this happening, but I wish that if they ever made a Mother cartoon/anime you'd be the director. This turned out great. While I'm super happy that I can finally watch the finished product, I'm kinda sad that there won't be anymore update videos or live streams to look forward to on this project. Anyway... Congratulations, Miko! You did a phenomenal job on this!
God that would be a dream come true. I can imagine we would learn even more about the characters if it was a show.
If this happens I am willing to pay hundreds just to watch my favorite series become a real cartoon

It's never confirmed this is the reason, just the animation. But it would be a nice explanation aside from Claus just not wanting to live anymore
This has existed for 2+ years and I’ve only watched it now?! This was simply incredible : the art style, the character design, the sound design, the inventivity of the battle… thank you so much for this incredible moment. If your team were to crowdfund a bigger series, it would be my pleasure to fund it
This animation deserves so much more recognition than it gets (as well as the mother franchise as a whole)

Ladies and Gentlemen, we just witnessed an astounding moment in history. The wonderful MikoWorks! completed one of their most amazing projects. Though I may not of been here for the beginning, I still care for this project and the people who made this possible. Miko has served as an inspiration for me and (I hope) many others. So, hats off to you Miko. You are a determined, talented soul that never ceases to amaze.

That animatic was probably one of the best Mother 3 ending representations I have ever seen.
The drawings were incredible to watch, and the overall video was just so pleasing to see, especially considering how much time and effort you put into this.
I may have not been to every single stream you've done, but I know for one thing that you put so much work into this. The streams you hosted were always wonderful to watch and see, it would always make my day going into one and being on time to see you draw and explain what you were doing. The memories I made going into some where probably by far one of the best ones I've experienced being inside the Mother community, and it made me remember how dedicated and how perseverant the fans within that community are.
And, you are an amazing example of that!
Maybe a lot of people may have told you this, but you truly do have a breathtaking talent, and I'm just beyond happy that you decided to share it with us!
It may not seem a big deal to you, but the animatic you created means a lot to many of us, and it's just always amazing when someone decides to show their appreciation to this game, especially considering that it's community isn't the biggest.
But, I realize that number doesn't matter, and it's things that people like you make, that help keep this community alive!
Your representation of the ending was also extremely well done. Like, when you put the part where Lucas tries to heal his brother, and Claus explains that he can't since there wasn't much left of him. I feel like this was really clever to add in, since it helps explain to fans the reason why you couldn't heal Claus at the ending of the game, since it didn't really explain too much of it in the actual game, which just left fans baffled. But, your explanation helps bring a bit of acceptance, which is a main theme of Mother 3.
Although, I've seen your animatic before while you were working on it during streams, I couldn't help but feel my heart race and grow sad watching it.
The journey was truly an experience, and it makes me so happy seeing your progress grow.
Just like in Mother 3, all things must come to an end unfortunately, but it's okay :]

Miko, I have never seen any Mother animation this elaborate and this well-done. This is by far the best animation dedicated to a Nintendo game that I have ever seen, and I'm not even exaggerating. The fact that you can see the battle against Claus in a whole different perspective is something that I always wanted to see, and you made it happen. I started tearing up at the end, which is extremely rare for me. I have only cried to two games as far as I can remember: Mother 3 and Omori. Awesome job Miko, you put a ton of effort into this and I respect that!

It's hard for me not to love this scene regardless of the medium it's in amazing job!!! I do feel that Claus's character in this is a little too emotionally expressive and has just a tad too much epicness than depressiveness but what an accomplishment to make this work of art! Great voice acting and framing. This is the much needed love for Mother 3 that Nintendo won't allow us ;(

Wow. Just wow. I’m in absolute awe with what I saw. This entire animatic was an overall masterpiece. The timing, the writing, the animation, the voice acting, trust everything about it was so well done. I’ve seen other Mother 3 animations before but this one….this is the one that honestly made cry and choke up. I was waiting and hooked for this one the moment I saw the first post. It’s just so wonderful. A lot of time and effort went into this one. And to be honest? It really shows and was worth it.
My word, that was fantastic. You've got a real talent for cinematography; I am just thoroughly impressed! Can't imagine how much work went into this, but even still, you've gotta consider developing it further!
...Also, fantastic music. Seriously, you've got a talent, I don't say that lightly.
If this animatic could make me cry, God knows what a finalized animation could do. The music in conjunction with the timing is what really makes this work an outstanding job.

One year has passed since this Masterpiece was Created. Everything about this Animation is Amazing, especially how Little animations of the Final Battle there is. This Has everything Even Arranged Music rather then Reusing Mother 3's music, Voice acting, and Different PSI Sounds. Im glad I discovered this channel when I first found out of Mother 3. You have inspired me with my own original content I soon hope to release so Thank you Miko, For this Masterpiece animation and I can't wait to see what other stuff you Plan on this Channel!

im sitting here amazed. i was so impressed with the art work and inspired with the takes you had on psi , but i didnt feel the emotional weight of the battle hit me. i was beginning to think that this would of just been spectacular for its art and didnt compare to the original fight, but.. this is amazing. this is such a treat for mother fans and i sobbed at this, what an incredible reimagining of the best final boss battle to ever be played

I love this animation so much. It’s extremely talented, incredibly accurate, and pulls at the heartstrings in the ways this game does. RUclips videos don’t really make me cry a whole lot, but this really defies that claim. This was one of the best videos that has ever been put in my recommendations. Hats off and soaring to you, Miko.

Bailey did an amazing job bring Claus and Hinawa to life, Dylan brought Flint to life in such a way that it scared me, because he sounded just like how I thought he would. Random trivia here, that was my second time ever voicing Lucas since I discovered the fandom.
