Brian with a John Deere and MMF with a Claas! I am so CORNfused LOL
Great video
55.3 k subs. Tripled your channel in a year !!! Nice
We also are struggling with wet, mud&!need to load trucks on roads!! NW Illinois! Did finally finish bean crops off Saturday night ; been drizzling since!! Managed to ship all beans , & clean-out equipment today ! Corn head back on , but drizzle & no sun or wind has shut us down !! Can’t win!! Probably 40%of corn in area & maybe 12% beans left to go!!
Brian can't wait to see your old 8400 on grain cart i ran one on a kilbros 7hundred and something bushel grain cart loved that tractor till wheat plant time then 8650 got put on grain cart till wheat was planted different with articulated tractor on grain cart 8650 sold then got 8300 for planters now some r series jds and 9400 on triples
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Loved how dad showed details of setting up after the head switch. He does very good at showing what he is working on and leaving camera long enough to actually see what is going on.
Yes very interesting to see how the newer combines work
It’s just farming and feeding the world. Thank You
Since 2010 all off-road diesel is the same as road diesel (sulfur content) ... at least that's what our fuel company tells us. So the only difference is taxes paid.
I got our 8210 stuck today I thought daddy was going to be so mad but he was kool I was discking
Probably $175,000 more on the price from when the 8400 was new also! Hell might even been double that. One sweet ride tho!
Now that you’ve brought it to Cargill’s attention, I’m sure they’ll start charging! Anything to make an extra buck off a farmer!
Thanks for all the work you put into these vids, production quality is good and the sound levels are right on the money. 👍 The grain storage aspect of the farm is really interesting, it's like running a manufacturing plant along with the farming side.
I love your videos
Dang Brian those subs are flooding in!!! Congratulations you deserve it!
Y'all definitely need a super capacitor jump box!
distributor.....worked as a senior grain elevator operator in my previous career....consignor is totally different meaning.....
I still run most of my loads to the small town independent elevator. He’s pretty stiff on moisture charges, but doesn’t charge for FM so it’s worth it. Lots of locals are running to the intermodal but the lines are long and they love to DOT that line of trucks. Sitting ducks, they are.
I know some Amish guys that will probably cut you a hell of a deal and have that big ass barn up in half the time lol
"Paid For" is definitely best! Payments suck!
Loved the Bob Cam this video! It's awesome when your Dad shows what he's doing and goes into deeper detail about it.
lol. "That butthead has his brights on... oh, that's B.J.."
Great video, Brian. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Brian love the video .
We are struggling with mud as well. I had to stop filming the other day because we quit early with it being so muddy.
Hell of new tractor. Glad those new got outside stairs, you wore them-out since they were installed
Distributer here. Also can u use the grain vac to stick on front of the new bin to core it? Stick it in auger hole and open bin up slightly and suck it out from underneath. Lol
Two things, just friendly questions/ comments. To help with distribution of fines in bin, we had a spreader at the top of bin. It was a set of fins that was spun in a circle by electric motor. Second we had a stir- rator. It was a mechanical contraption with 2 or more small augers hanging vertically from it. It was used to mix the grain... you have a nice set up.. these things I mentioned cost extra of course.... oh I just thought of a third thing. Use the grain cart under that small auger while transferring from bin.. your truck can be filled quickly, and small auger runs continuously.... of course you’ll have the cost of wear and tear on grain cart and fuel used.... Just a HBO moment.( help a brother out)
CODE #14 ON THAT checker is be because temperature out of range of grain. it's not broke just hit your Green arrow it will still work. we have same checker.
Yeah we looked at the book but still frustrating
@@BriansFarmingVideos yea we just have to keep ours in warm spot or just put a sample in it for a couple min then it will work rest of time we like checker other than that.
That Deere sure is weighted for heavy work.
another great video Brian and the rest of the family. thanks for taking the time to show us none farmers how hard and long hours you work.
Thanks Bob for showing some of the calibration settings when switching headers. That touch screen looks confusing until someone shows how to use it.
Seems like, with all the tech around the farm nowadays, there would be a better way to check on how full the bins are. That climbing up and down the steps looks hard.
Love the videos Brian! It’s a lot easier on your air system and you’ll have less frozen brakes in winter if you leave the red air button pressed in unless you’re detaching the semi trailer. You can also get going faster without having to wait for the trailer air. Just keep your thumb on the red button and pull the yellow one to park.
Good to hear your update / report Bob.
Brian!!!! Instead of Morton,,,, try J&I manufacturing,,,, they are in MacDill Oklahoma... even with freight I bet they beat Morton.
Excellent videos and the same for your farming ops. Following all your videos.
Thanks.

Like the AgPro decal and I wish we could get in the mud. It’s 3:53 pm and we are headed to the peanut field now to try and pick. We haven’t been in a field since last Tuesday due to the rain.
To be honest your channel is much better .
Code solution
Cause:Large temperature
difference between the
grain and meter test cell
Solution
Meter automatically compensated for
temperature difference, for better accuracy,
grain and meter test cell should be at similar
temperatures
From owners manual
Thanks Brian!
FYI, Channel 21319VT2P and 20915VT2P 231 and 232 bpa over about 7 acres each. Pioneer 1197 about the the same but slightly drier. Eastern panhandle of WV about the same latitude as you
Love watching u guys keep up the great work!
Good ole Dickey-john testers... they are located in my home town of Auburn, IL
I got one of those flood lights it's a 150 watt model you won't be disappointed, it's like the sun never sets. I've got it mounted on a bin about 20 feet up over looking my dryer and unloading area. Have been using it about 1 week, lights up a large area way better than the incandescent flood light that was been used. I hope it last after reading some of the reviews, sounds like there could be some issues of it lasting.
That’s what I was afraid of but we will see
John deere just came out with a new line up and the biggest is now a 8410R
Good Job and video. 👍🏼🚜🌽🌽
Thanks Bob for explaining the calibration at the combine header, always wondering what´s going there.
Also, a few hundred thousand dollars difference in those two 8400’s.
And about 200 hp
"There's easier ways Dad" Lol that had me rolling on the floor😂 😎👍 〽️
Brian awesome videos as well as an awesome family you have!!
Happy Thanksgiving earlier!!
Thanks for watching. Happy early thanksgiving to you too.
Another great video thank you
I have the same agratronix tester and it’s a pos I bought a dickey John mini gac 2500 expensive but worth every penny most accurate tester out there right now
code 14 cause: Large temperature difference between the grain and meter test cell
solution: Meter automatically compensated for temperature difference, for better accuracy, grain and meter test cell should be at similar temperatures
OPERATING PROCEDURE - PREHEATING IMPORTANT: If the temperature of the grain sample is 40 ̊F more or less than the temperature of the unit, preheat the tester for best results -- as follows: PREHEATING PROCEDURE
1. Press and release ON-OFF button (B) to turn on tester. The display (C) will show the name of the last grain tested at the top. Secure hopper (G) to the top of the tester (see page 5 for instructions on securing hopper).
2. When the grain to be tested has been selected using the UP/DOWN arrows (D) fi ll the grain hopper (G), and pull hopper slide (H) to drop the grain into the test cell. Allow grain to sit in the hopper as short of a time as possible since the hopper temperature will alter the grain temperature.
3. After 30 to 60 seconds, empty test cell and immediately refi ll with fresh grain.
4. Take a test with this fresh grain. Now the test cell and grain should be close enough in temperature to give a good reading. Note: The most accurate moisture measurements are achieved when the test cell and grain temperature are similar.
A -Test Cell
B - ON-OFF Button
C - Display
D - UP / DOWN Arrows
E - BACK Arrow
F - ENTER / TEST Button
G - Grain Hopper
H - Grain Hopper Slider
I - Level Arm with Brush
Hey Brian, that Deere needs the yellow globe for auto steer to work.
Yeah they brought one for a couple hours then it left lol
Off road diesel used to have a higher sulphur level but now off road and on road are the same only off road has the die in it so it could be seen if someone were to use it for on road.
The new 8r series row crop tractors have 10 more horsepower. 8410R.
Morton building and more grain bins if I had the money man I would help ya out I love farming grew up on a little 120 acre farm my whole life my grandpa lived to be 102 I miss those days
You need cole and daddy cornstar to come by and show you how to set up augers and wagons too move grain
fyi red & green fuel is the same, I deliver it. great vid brian
Yup, now days it is the same. Just a different dye to denote taxes. But spot checks have become more common too. Counties and states want their tax income more now then ever.
I have those Lights They work great!
One bowl of popcorn gone and a nap.
Red dye is put in dsl for tax purposes. It has nothing to do with sulfer content. Heating oil, which is a high sulfer product, is a dyed product as well for the same reason. It is how the tax man catches truckers or retailers buying or selling non tax product as tax product.
Woo hoo early morning video after working all night
Sorry. it will be here after you get some sleep lol
That code on you tester just means that there is a big difference in temperature between the grain and your tester just press the green button and it will show you what the sample was
Appreciate that Brian explains what happens at the elevator. He’s done it before on previous videos but he gets new subs every day and for those non-farmers it’s very helpful in understanding how things work. Great job as always.
Thanks for showing me the fuel shut off
Great job explaining everything that you do during the day. Is the biggest bottle neck holding back acres harvested/day your bin storage?
you need some 3 and 4 legger trailers and put a little more in the box
Awesome video (as always)! Could you guys put side by side the Deere and the Fendt 1038?
Error 14

Things going smooth in chillicote mayby i am gonna by me a farm and move to the USA greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Sorry I wanted to say be careful that tractor may through mud all over those yellow tractors. Thanks
Ya need bigger ripper. 🤔
Like I said when they brought the subsoiler, they should have brought a strip-till. I would love to see a Kuhn gladiator demo for you guys.
Yeah we are really wanting to strip till dry fert
@@BriansFarmingVideos I think it's the way to go. I really like kuhns design
Great video as usual, keep them coming. 👍👍
Best tester i ever used was a old dick'y john it was the old dial type u had to temp it thermometer ad and subtract moisture points if it 80 or above if i remember 2 p[points for every 10 ad and below you.very subtract very accurate
Be carful either my thought bud all over those yellow tractors
Not sure if anyone mentioned it below but you are missing the globe for auto steer.
Yep that was the issue
You’re John Deere didn’t have a bubble on top lol that’s why your auto steer wasn’t working
🍿🍿🍻
Brian, once you get everything dry do you all haul all your grain to town to sell? And how long does it take you to get rid of all your grain?
The 8400R looks like a really nice tractor!
Paid for beats everything.
Yes it does lol
I think if i would paid as much as you did for that bin they would installed the auger by or there be hell to pay i shit you not.
Come on Brian BJ is your older brother and did have a hand in raising you.
Not really he is 12 years older so we are much closer now than when we were kids
you got a nice jd mi;;ennial got a claas what up
Strange times
So what's the term for spilling out of the bin? Combine is cab corn ect.
19 percent corn is moist per the millenial
agratronix Ag-MAC PLUS
The reason the John deer want start because it was a Pretty red tractor
Is Cargill located where Landmark used to be
Yep
620lbs short of 90K, seems about right if my dad is loading trucks....
Why didn’t you use the grain vac to clean out that big bin
Our moisture tester will give an error code if the corn temperature is below freezing, might be your problem.
Did you see a big difference in test plots with the deep ripper?
Leg/bucket elevator Distributor
Don"t you have glow plugs on your diesel vehicles
Hey Brian, you don’t need that unloading auger right now. Didn’t you just get a grain vac?
Good point
Not impressed with those moisture testers. In wheat it was good but corn I never could get two readings to be the same.
Went back to the old one.
How many times do you get probed per day?
🌽 🚜 👍 🇺🇸
Hey brian how far is your farm from the pilot on hey 50 in Chillicothe
Why is it every john deere r series sounds like the batteries are dead when they start in the cold? My 7r and 6r do the same and the batteries are new
How much snow y’all get?
