Other channels might share basic information but your videos are so funny! You guys clearly have fun working together. It's important for families to stick together, especially these days. There is something very valuable about the "wisdom of the white hair". There's so much knowledge we gain as we grow older. Brian is obviously a smart man to keep his ranch going for so long... and he's definitely a proud Dad. I love his dad jokes! Can't wait for the next video!

Hay hay hay family Sonne!! I hope you had a great birthday Brian and Cole was suitably generous to you.
I love the hay hiker, what a great bit of kit. The way the bales unload onto the floor is very satisfying. When you picked up the bale and it didnt fall on right reminded me of wrapping silage bales, if you had a mis-shapen one they would do that and end up jammed half on and half off, or they would spin off halfway through being wrapped. I thought your camera would be a goner inside the muckspreader Cole, I was dreading a stone to flick up off the beaters and wipe it out.
Thanks for another great episode of Sonne farms!!
Stay safe all and god bless.
    Dave.

This was an amazing video watching you guys pick up that hay from the field… The aerial shots were magnificent!! Truly enjoyed watching the tractors turn in opposite circles to go pick up the next bail and it look like you guys are having a little fun out there once in a while… At least I hoped you were. That new piece of equipment you used definitely made things go a lot faster… Only you guys come let us know just how much difference it made. It was wonderful seeing a father and son enjoy farming together because there’s so many stories about fathers and sons who are angry at each other and by the time the sun hits 16 to 18 years of age he’s threatening to leave and doesn’t want to have anything to do with his dad or the farm so, I think you guys are an exemplary Case of how it can be between Father and Son on the Farm♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

If you’re only hauling a couple of miles, I bet the hay hiker will haul more bales faster than having to load and unload each bale. You’re unloading 7 bales in a couple of seconds and continuously moving while you’re loading. We have an in-line 7 bale trailer and I can haul hay way faster than my father in law can with his gooseneck flatbed.

    • @raybornclark8617

@@briansonne814 yeah, the hay hiker does not have the capacity to make it worth while it looks like. it looks like the gooseneck trailer is the most efficient since you dont have to get out of the tractor to hook and unhook the trailer. good haying.....

I hope your lip is okay Cole.
Tell your dad I said it's okay to take the rest of the day off.
If you hold a cold can of beer on your lip it will help with the swelling.
What you have to do is, hold it on there for about 3 or 4 minutes.
After that you drink the beer because you don't want it to get warm.
Repeat as necessary until the pain subsides.
Don't worry about day drinking, first of all because it's medicinal and second, like the song says, it's 5:00 somewhere.

Cole, this was just a very, very good video! You did a good job of the demo of the Hay Hiker and you will just get better with demos as you go. The manufacturer, distributor, and your contact would like to see their names on the screen - that's understandable and will draw you more offers. You will get lots more offers to demo equipment and implements, and if you associate with 5 or 6 manufacturers/distributors/ag companies like seed and chemical suppliers, they can keep you very busy at the farm shows in the offseason. That is very lucrative and allows opportunities for collaborations with other RUclipsrs which is the very best way to grow your channel. Keep up the good work. You are on your way!

We cut and bale hay all summer right up to frost. Everyday from sun up until sun down. I like your equipment. My big brother has been doing it yearly since he was born almost. Man we cut and bale a lot of hay. We cut wheat, Rye ,and oat hay first, then burmuda and some hay grazer. Blue stem and even crab grass and anything else someone has. We cut some beat-all blue stem 70 acres that made over 500 round bale. They added those microbes and it really grew. We still have 1,000 bales to haul for a Rancher that leases land and the guy he leases off of makes him buy all of his hay. So we hired out to haul it. I like that round bale hauler the demonstrator. Nice. We use a 14 bale hauler that you slide all the bales forward and we dump them all at the same time. And we use flatbed goose neck like you guys do. We use John Deere tractors balers and swathers. We also use other brands too. In five years the tractors and equipment is flat dab wore out. lol

Having a Highline bale mover I can tell you from experience that the bale fork needed to be slid out another 12 inches at the least. It helps by giving you more room to get the bales in without tearing the netwrap. It can also prevent the bales spinning 90 degrees so you can’t pick them up.

We have a Kosch Balehandler - had to chuckle on the bale shifted while trying to load. There’s always one that no matter what you do, it won’t load until you’ve torn off the net wrap.

I like the bale hiker! Something that I think we could use because we have to run on a 2 lane highway and it would be easier to get down the road without scaring someone that doesn't know anything about what is coming towards them great video good demonstration

Shout out to Saskatoon, home of Saskdutchkid! Hello from Saskatchewan everyone. I could see the hay raker used for staging. Picking up all the bales in the field and leaving them in double rows for the tractor with double forks to load and haul to the yard. If hauling any distance 7 bales probably wouldn’t cut it. You should have timed one of your loads to one of your dad’s hauling the same amount as him. Interesting video though. We have had 2 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. No haying here.

It looks like it's been warm and dry enough there to keep lake sunny under control. The new bale equipment was interesting as well.
