I built a simulator about 10 years ago and I use it primarily to practice IFR flying using old school Microsoft Flight Simulator X (that particular software is a little dated but it still works fine). I had a traditional desk chair for it at first but no actual plane I have flown has had a desk chair in the cockpit. I wanted something from an actual vehicle, so I went to the local junk yard and found a front passenger seat (the driver’s seats were all way too worn and the passenger seat is pretty much the same thing) from a 1993 Nissan Maxima for $35. I built a base for the seat out of some scraps of old lumber so that was pretty much free. It works great; I still use it to this day.
Finally got me a flight room. I went all in. I wondered how you could see a bogey so far away. Now I understand what that 55-in lol😂 explains it all. Awesome!
Very nice Setup. I use a 42" LG TV as a Monitor and Track IR even has Problems at this Size and I struggeled a while with it. So it can happen even on smaller Screens than 55".
